Peter rushed through the HYDRA compound, trying to find Y/N's cell. He ran around the corner and stopped in his tracks. His eyes widened as Y/N stood in the hallway, her back turned to him.

"Y/N, oh my god, are you okay?" he gulped, pulling his mask off and rushing towards her. Suddenly, she whipped around, shocking Peter with what he saw.

"Jesus." He mumbled, his eyes widening and his feet stopping abruptly again as she stared at him with unblinking black eyes. He gulped as she slowly walked towards him, balls of purple energy forming in her hands.

"Y/N, whatever they've done to you, sweetheart, it's going to be okay, we're going to fix it, just don't do anything that you're going to regret." He nodded, taking a step back for every one she took forward. She growled, the noise turning into a yell as she started to sprint towards him. His eyes widened.

"Mr Stark, we have a massive problem!" Peter exclaimed into his comms, his voice getting louder as Y/N raced towards him. He flung his wrist out, shooting a web at Y/N's ankles. It wrapped around her legs, making her fall to the ground and groan.

"What's the issue, kid?" Tony's voice sounded in his ear.

"I've found Y/N, but there's something seriously wrong with her, she just tried to attack me." He scoffed, walking up to Y/N's flailing body as she groaned and tried to free her legs from the webs.

"I'll be right there, kid, hang on." He returned. Peter nodded to himself, walking around so that he was stood over Y/N. His eyes widened as she suddenly ripped the webs off of her legs before grabbing him by the neck and pulling him down to the floor.

"Y/N, what are you doing?!" he exclaimed as she straddled him and wrapped her hands around his neck.

"It's me, Y/N! Stop! I can't breathe!" he shouted again, Y/N's hands on his skin cutting off his air supply. She growled at him, her lips curled into a snarl as she stared at him with the pitch-black eyes that had somehow replaced the beautiful honey ones that Peter had fallen in love with.

"Y/N, stop, it's Peter, please." The boy gasped as his lungs got gradually tighter. Her eyes widened slightly and the snarl grew as she pressed down harder on his neck.

"Kill...Peter..." she mumbled. His eyes widened.

"No, Y/N! I love you!" he yelled. The girl's face softened slightly as Peter uttered the words. She slightly loosened her grip on his neck, making him cough as he took a deep breath to make up for the lack of oxygen that he had gotten when Y/N had been straggling him. She sat up slightly on him, and even though her eyes were just black, Peter could see the sadness in the darkness as she stared gently at him.

"Whatever HYDRA has done to you, we can fix it, I promise. It's me, Y/N, it's Peter, and I love you." He choked, trying to break through whatever HYDRA had done to the girl that he was in love with. He thought that it had worked as she completely removed her hands from his neck, letting them fall to his chest as she looked down.

"It's okay. I'm here, I've got you." He reassured. She slowly raised her head to look at him again, making his eyes widen as a scowl made its way back onto her lips.

"Kill...Peter..." she growled, her hands wrapping around his neck again.

"No!" Peter yelled as she raised her hand and aimed it at him, a ball of energy forming in her palm. Just before Y/N released the ball at Peter, which would surely kill him, a beam of electricity fired into Y/N's side, knocking her unconscious and off of Peter. He gasped, coughing as he desperately sucked air back into his lungs for the second time in as many minutes.

"You're okay, kid, I've got you." Tony reassured as he put a hand on Peter's back and helped him sit up.

"Mr Stark, that's not my Y/N." Peter choked, looking at the girl lying unconscious a few metres away from him.

"I know it's not, I just saw her try to kill you. Which, may I add, is the exact reason that we didn't want you to come." Tony nodded, his mask disappearing into his suit as he bent down and hauled Y/N's limp body over his shoulder.

"I know. Sorry, I just...I wanted to help get her back." He choked, looking down. Tony sighed.

"I know, kid, it's alright. Did she say anything to you?" he asked.

"She just kept saying "kill Peter". It was as if she was in some sort of trance, one where all she could do was try to kill me." He gulped.

"Well, that's just great. Whatever they injected her with must have been some sort of hypnosis serum. I'll run some tests once we get back to the Tower. Come on kid, stay close, HYDRA's men are still looking for us." Tony demanded before his mask formed over his face again and he passed Peter. Peter sighed, pulling his mask back on too before following Tony down the hallway.
