"That's not my Y/N" *final part* (Peter Parker)
Peter webbed his way through the HYDRA base, in search of Y/N's antidote and trying to avoid the spray of bullets that was seemingly following him. When Tony and he had failed to discuss how they were going to get in beforehand, Peter had just assumed that they'd try the quiet way, and if they had to use firepower, they would. That unspoken plan had flown out of the window when Tony had just started firing at guards before taking out the doors. Hence why Peter was currently sprinting down the ceiling and trying to escape the half a dozen guards that were shooting at him.
"Yoink!" he yelled as he extended his arm and fired a web at one of the guards, grabbing the gun off of him. The guard groaned and fell down as Peter hit him with the gun, Peter jumping down and landing on a second guard.
"Today is not your day, is it, fellas?" Peter chuckled, mocking them as he kicked the third one and attached the other three to the wall with a web grenade.
"Kid, head my way, I found the lab." Tony spoke into Peter's comms.
"Copy, I'm coming for you." The boy replied, his heart slightly speeding up at the thought of getting Y/N back as he started to race through the base. He turned the corner and looked into the open room, sighing in relief as he saw Tony's metal-clad back.
"Mr Stark." He greeted, making Tony look over his shoulder at the boy as he walked in.
"You want Y/N back?" he asked.
"More than anything." Peter shook his head.
"Well then it's good that I found this, isn't it?" Tony smiled as he held up a small vial of clear liquid. Peter's eyes wavered, a choke leaving his lips as he rushed towards the man.
"That's it? You're sure?" Peter gulped.
"Positive, kid. HYDRA's labelling and organisation will be their downfall." He chuckled. Peter returned it and shook his head. Suddenly, Tony's eyes widened.
"Incoming!" he yelled as he raised his hand cannon and shot past Peter, making the boy flinch and turn around. His eyes widened as even more HYDRA guards rushed into the room, guns poised.
"Alright, kid, time to work for a living." Tony nodded as he continued to fire at the guards. Peter returned it, safely tucking the vial of liquid into his suit's belt before starting to fight the guards alongside Tony.
Peter kicked his foot out, making the guard groan as he fell to the floor as a result of the kick.
"Can you finish up here, kid?" Tony asked as he fired his hand cannon into more guards, knocking them all unconscious. Peter looked at the last standing guard, the man scowling as he raised his fists.
"Yeah. I think that I can handle it." Peter nodded cockily, a smirk developing under his mask as he also raised his fists. Tony returned the nod before flying out of the room, leaving Peter and the guard alone.
"So, do you want to lead this tango, or should I?" Peter teased. The guard scowled and yelled out before extending his fist. Peter dodged the punch with ease, leaning his body to the side before turning back and punching out his fist. The punch landed against the guard's jaw, making the man groan and stumble back as he cupped his face.
"Time to make this interesting." Peter smirked before launching himself into the air, his body starting to fly over the guard's body. Suddenly, all that Peter could see was the vial of Y/N's cure slip out of his apparently open belt pouch and start to fall towards the ground. Peter's eyes widened.
"NO!" the vial smashed against the ground, the liquid spilling against the concrete as Peter landed on the other side of the guard. Peter clenched his jaw, anger filling his heart and tears filling his eyes as he grabbed the guard's gun and rammed the handle into his face, knocking the man unconscious.
"Please, no, fuck, fuck." Peter choked as he got onto his knees, his gloved hands desperately trying to pick up the spilt liquid. But it was no use.
"Kid, you all done-shit, what happened?" he looked up and gulped as Tony stood at the doorway of the room.
"I got cocky. I got cocky, and the vial fell from my belt and broke. Y/N's last hope is gone." Peter choked, pulling his mask off of his face as a tear left his eye. Tony sighed, his face dropping.
"It's okay, kid. Look, we need to go, this place is rigged to blow in a couple of minutes, but I promise you that we'll figure something out when we get back to the Tower, okay?" he encouraged, putting a hand on the boy's shoulder. Peter sniffed and nodded, staring at the broken glass as he stood to his feet and let his mentor guide him out of the room.
Peter sat on the sofa in the common room, tears still rolling down his cheeks. He had literally had the answer to Y/N's problem in the palm of his hands, and he had let it go. He had destroyed the one thing that would bring Y/N back, that would bring his Y/N back. He couldn't believe that he'd been so stupid.
"Kid." He looked up and gave Tony a forced smile as the man walked into the room.
"How you holding up?" he asked. Peter shrugged and looked back down.
"I feel like shit knowing that I cost Y/N getting her life back. I'm the reason that she's now going to be stuck in that glass box for the foreseeable future. It's my fault." He choked and shook his head. Tony sighed and looked at the boy.
"Pete, you know how I said that we'd come up with a plan B? I didn't just say that to make you feel better." He spoke. Peter looked up at him.
"What?" he scoffed. Tony chucked something to the boy, his Spidey senses making the object extremely easy to catch. Peter looked down at the small vial that was now in the palm of his hand, his eyes widening as it was the exact same as the vial that he had dropped. He looked back up at Tony.
"This isn't another vial of the cure." He scoffed as he stood up.
"It is. It's HYDRA, they weren't going to only store one vial of the stuff." Tony shrugged. Peter gulped, looking between the vial and his mentor as he walked towards Tony.
"I get it if you're angry at me for not telling you, but I had to get you out of there before the place blew, and I knew that she'd be okay-." Peter cut him off by tightly hugging him, pressing his head against Tony's shoulder. His mentor hesitantly returned the hug as he looked down at the boy.
"Thank you." Peter choked. Tony nodded and gave him a small smile as Peter pulled back.
"Now, let's go bring your girlfriend back."
Y/N's P.O.V
I sat in the glass box, my back against the wall and my legs out in front of me as I watched one of the Star Wars movies that Peter had downloaded for me on the phone. I couldn't help but smile to myself, as watching the movie brought back peaceful and happy memories that I had of Peter and I watching the movies together. I just hoped that we'd get more moments like that. I looked up and gulped, my smile dipping as Tony and Steve walked into the control room that my container was in the middle of. I gulped, butterflies filling my stomach as Peter wasn't with them.
"Where's Peter?" I asked nervously as I rose to my feet.
"Don't worry, kid, he's fine. He's next-door, we just didn't want you to go into attack mode before we had a chance to inject you." He nodded as he held up a small glass vial. My eyes wavered, another choke leaving my lips as I put my hand over my mouth.
"You found a cure." I stated.
"We did. It's going to sting, but I'm sure you'll agree that it'll be worth it." Tony nodded as he pressed a button on one of the control desks. As he did, the door to the container opened with a hiss, allowing Tony to walk in whilst Steve waited on the outside of the container.
"Here, put this on." Tony spoke, handing me a piece of black fabric. I raised my eyebrow at him as I took it in between my fingers.
"What the fuck is this, then?" I scoffed.
"Just trust me, kid." He chuckled and shook his head as he loaded the vial into a small gun with a needle sticking out of the end. I rolled my eyes and sighed before tying the fabric around my eyes, rendering me sightless. I gulped, biting my lip as all I could hear was shuffling.
"You ready, Y/N? This will hurt." Tony warned.
"I'm ready. I want Peter back." I nodded.
"He wants you back too, kid. He's missed you." He chuckled, making me smile as I felt Tony move the hair away from my neck.
"See you on the other side." I nodded, making Tony chuckle again.
"Three...two...one." Suddenly, pain swept through my neck, making me cry out as the needle punctured my skin and started to release the foreign liquid into my veins.
"Fuck, that hurt." I winced.
"I did warn you." Tony stated, making my eyes roll underneath the mask. The pain didn't cease, instead it spread to every inch of my body as the liquid coursed through my veins. I groaned, the pain becoming too much as my legs gave way and I fell forward, expecting to hit the floor. But instead of making harsh contact with the ground, I fell into a warm chest as a pair of muscular arms gently wrapped around my waist. My eyes widened, my brain immediately recognising the solidness of the chest and the arms that had held me countless times. I choked, a tear leaving my eye as I raised my shaking hands and put them against the figure's face. I couldn't help but smile as I felt his features, running my fingers over his slightly crooked nose and his thin lips.
"Peter?" I choked.
"It's me, angel." He confirmed, making me laugh and bite my lip as a tear left my eye.
"Go on, kid, take the blindfold off. We need to see if the cure worked." Tony spoke. My smile dipped.
"And what if it hasn't? Am I covered?" I gulped.
"Yeah. Both Steve and I are ready to take you down with non-lethal action if it doesn't work. I promise you that you won't hurt Peter." He reassured. I gulped again, nodding and biting my lip as I closed my eyes and slowly peeled the blindfold off of my head. I took a deep breath as I let my eyes flutter open, the first thing that I saw being Peter's beautiful smiling face. I choked, a tear leaving my eye as I looked at him.
"You don't want to kill me?" Peter checked teasingly, raising his eyebrow. I bit my lip and shook my head, trying to stop my smile from expanding even more.
"I think that it worked, Mr Stark." He smiled, making me squeal and take his face before smashing our lips together. Peter laughed into the kiss and immediately returned it, pulling me closer by my waist as I held his face. I broke the kiss and looked at him.
"I've missed you, Pete. So fucking much." I choked and shook my head.
"I've missed you too, sweetheart. It's good to have you back." He nodded and smiled, making me return it as I leant up and joined our lips again.
