Requested by Jorjaleighxo: Y/N and Tom are doing an interview promoting "Spiderman: far from home" on the Jimmy Fallon show. There have been rumours about them dating but they deny them and claim that they just like each other, despite the fact that they've already confessed their feelings for each other

I sat in my dressing room backstage as I waited to go onto the "Jimmy Fallon Show". I looked over my shoulder as I heard a knock on the door. It opened immediately after, making me smile as Tom slipped into the room before shutting the door.

"Hey." I smiled as I stood up and went to him.

"Hey." he chuckled, putting his hands on my hips as he leant down and pressed our lips together. I returned the kiss, my smile widening against his lips as I held his face. Since I played Tom's love interest in the movie "Spiderman: far from home", rumours questioning our relationship status had surrounded us from the start of me being cast. In public, we had denied all of the rumours and had claimed that we were just really close friends. But in private, Tom and I had confessed our feelings for each other after only six months of being on set together, and had been in a secret relationship ever since. Tom broke the kiss and looked at me.

"You ready for the interview?" he mumbled, his gaze still on my lips.

"I think so. But it is my first big interview, what if I fuck up?" I gulped. He shook his head as he gently took my face into his hands.

"You won't, darling. And I'll be there, sitting right next to you. I know that you get reassured by my hand on your leg and stuff, so I'll try to do that in a subtle way if I can." he reassured. I looked at him.

"Speaking of us, we're still in agreement that we continue denying our relationship for now? Continue with the narrative of "just best friends"?" I checked.

"If that's okay with you, sweetheart. I want to announce it on our terms." he nodded. I returned it and bit my lip, leaning up to kiss him once more.

Tom and I stood backstage, waiting to be called onto the show. I couldn't help but feel slightly more relaxed as Tom stood behind me, his arms wrapped around my waist and my hands over his as he gently swayed me in his arms.

"Our next guests are stars of the most recent "Spiderman" movie. These two actors have been surrounded by rumours since they started playing love interests, and so it's been questioned if that relationship will be confirmed tonight." Jimmy Fallon spoke. The audience made "ooh" sounds, making Tom and I smile as he kissed the side of my head.

"Showtime, darling." he spoke quietly as he unwrapped his arms from me.

"Please welcome to the stage, Tom Holland and Y/N Y/L/N!" Jimmy Fallon yelled. The audience erupted in cheering and clapping as I walked on, followed by Tom. I smiled and waved at the audience, Tom doing the same as we sat down on the sofa next to Jimmy's desk.

"Look at you two, you look amazing." Jimmy smiled, making the audience cheer as Tom and I returned the smile. Though mine was partially fake in an effort to hide how nervous I was. After all, not only was I on my first proper interview show, but I was next to Tom. We'd been together for a year and a half now, but I still got butterflies around him.

"Thank you, we do try." Tom teased.

"So, Y/N, my first question is for you." Jimmy nodded, making me look at him.

"Shoot." I chuckled nervously. Tom must have sensed my nerves because before I knew it, his arm rested on the back of the sofa and his fingers subtly started brushing my arm. Tom knew that subtle brushes and touches of my arms, waist and legs made me feel more at ease, and so I appreciated him already making the effort to calm me down.

"I'm sure that everyone out there is aware that this was your first major role. Not only was it a Marvel movie, but you got to work with massive names, like Tom and RDJ. What was that like?" Jimmy asked. I nodded and tried to think, my eyes wavering and my heart fluttering as Tom's fingers continued to brush against my arm, it being covered by him pretending to just be resting his arm against the back of the sofa.

"Honestly, it was amazing. I've loved Marvel ever since I was a kid, I was that little girl who wanted to dress up as Spiderman whilst all the other girls dressed as princesses and fairies. And so to work on an actual Marvel movie was just insane. Not to mention working with Robert and Tom. Robert was like a father-figure, he was amazing, and Tom became my best friend so quickly. We were inseparable within a week of meeting." I smiled.

"What about you, Tom? What was it like working with Y/N?" Jimmy asked. Tom nodded and sat forward briefly, his hand "accidentally" brushing my bare knee before he sat back again and his other hand slipped down to cup my waist. I looked down and smiled, trying to hide the effect of his affection on me as he started to talk.

"It was incredible. From the get-go, Y/N was so enthusiastic and would take everything on board that the Russo Brothers told her, but constructive criticism was rare since she's so talented. Honestly, working with her was just amazing, and I can't wait for us to work on our next project together." he smiled. I returned it and bit my lip, looking at my secret boyfriend as his hand continued to rub gently against my waist in order to maintain my calmness.

"Now, I'm sure that you guys are aware that there are plenty of rumours out there questioning the status of your relationship. More specifically, claiming that you're more than just friends." Jimmy nodded, making the audience "ooh".

"Here we go, we knew that this was coming." Tom chuckled as he removed his arm from around me but his hand brushed my thigh as he put it down, his fingertips lingering against my skin before they moved back to his own leg.

"You care to comment on them at all?" Jimmy asked.

"They're just rumours. We're close, sure, but only as friends." I lied with a shake of my head.

"Yeah, we're really good friends and I wouldn't be without her, but friends is where it stops." Tom also denied.

"In that case, would you say that your relationship is almost like that of a brother and sister?" he questioned. I looked at Tom, him returning the gaze as we stared into each other's eyes. I couldn't help but smile and bite my lip as Tom took my hand and gently intertwined our fingers before placing our hands wrapped together onto my lap.

"Yeah, I would say so. We were always tormenting each other on set and, like, playing pranks on each other, so we really do have an unbreakable bond." Tom nodded. Now that part was true. I bit my lip and smiled at him again, resisting the urge to kiss him as we carried on with our interview. Though our hands stayed together, our fingers intertwined and on my lap for the rest of the interview.

~Two weeks later~

"Are you ready to do this?" I smiled sheepishly as I sat on Tom's lap, his arms wrapped around my waist.

"I'm ready." he smiled. I returned it and bit my lip as he got Instagram up on his phone. After the Jimmy Fallon interview, some people had continued questioning our relationship and others had let it be. But now, we were finally ready to officially announce it. Tom opened Instagram and started a live-stream before holding it up so that we were both in the shot. And so that it was painfully obvious that I was sitting on his lap.

"Hey, guys, it's Tom and Y/N here." he smiled.

"Hey, everyone. We have something to tell you." I admitted.

"Yeah, we do. So, I'm sure that many of you saw our interview last week with Jimmy Fallon, where one of the topics of conversation was the rumours surrounding our relationship status. We said that we were nothing more than friends and that we were more like brother and sister. But, well...we were lying." Tom smiled sheepishly before looking up at me.

"The truth is that we've been together for almost two years now. We started dating about six months into the filming of the "Spiderman" movie, and haven't stopped since. But it's been amazing." I smiled, making Tom return it.

"It really has been. We're so happy and moving our relationship from a friendship to being boyfriend and girlfriend paid off because I've never been happier and I'm sure that Y/N would say the same. Right, babe?" he chuckled.

"Of course, Tommy." I reassured. He smiled and kissed my cheek before looking back at the camera.

"So, yeah. We wanted to tell you guys because we've been going out for obviously a while now, we love each other and things are getting progressively more serious every day, and so we wanted our fans, who we love, to know about it. Yeah, that's it. Stay safe, everyone, thanks for tuning in, and we love you all." he smiled before turning off the live-stream and looking at me.

"That was perfect." he chuckled.

"It was. And I'm so glad that we finally did it." I smiled. He returned it and bit his lip before leaning up and kissing me.
