The Oscars (Tom Holland)
Requested by storyrreader: Tom is nominated for an Oscar for "Cherry". Him and Y/N are dating and he surprises her and brings her to the Oscars with him, and he ends up winning.
"Tommy, I'm home!" I yelled as I walked through the door of the apartment that I shared with my boyfriend, Tom. I didn't hear a response, or Tessa barking, telling me that he was probably out walking her. I puffed out, my mind finally glad to be home as I dropped my bag and took my shoes off. I headed through to the bedroom, my eyebrows furrowing as I immediately saw a pink box tied with a blue ribbon sat on the bed. I looked back into the apartment.
"Tommy?" I called out again. Nothing. I sighed and bit my lip before looking back at the box. I looked into the room, more confusion filling my mind as I walked in. I looked down at the box, my eyes attracted to the Post-It note attached to the pink cardboard:
For you, my love - T xxx.
I smiled and bit my lip as I started to undo the blue ribbon of the box. I untied the beautiful bow, my mind wondering what could be in the wrapping as I took the lid off of the box. My eyes widened, a gasp leaving my lips. I leant my hands down, my pupils wide as I pulled out the stunning midnight blue dress. I held the beautiful garment up, my lip in between my teeth as I admired the stunning dress. My smile widened as I felt a familiar pair of strong arms wrap around my waist from behind and a familiar pair of thin lips attach themselves to my neck.
"You like it, darling?" Tom mumbled against my skin.
"I love it, Tommy. But what's it for?" I asked as I gently laid the dress down against the bed. He used his hands on my waist to gently turn me around, his gaze on my lips as I placed my hands on his chest.
"So, you know that I got nominated for an Oscar with "Cherry". Basically, I want you to be my date." He admitted. My eyes widened slightly at his words. Tom and I had been dating for a year now, and had been serious for half of that time. The issue was that he still hadn't announced our relationship to the world. And so, I was still his best kept secret.
"Tommy, I...I don't know." I gulped and shook my head. After all, my life would be changed forever once the world knew that I was Tom's girlfriend, and I wasn't sure if I was ready for that yet.
"I get that, and it's okay if you're not ready for us to announce our relationship. But this was the biggest role of my career, I've been nominated for it, and I would absolutely love to have my beautiful girlfriend by my side. And I'd love for her to wear that blue dress that I know that she'll look simply divine in." He smiled and shook his head. I laughed and bit my lip, my gaze on him timidly as I thought. Sure, announcing our relationship was a big step, but realistically we needed to start thinking about taking it. Tom and I were starting to discuss things like marriage and children, and it would be hard to pull all of that off with no one but our family and friends knowing.
"So, what do you say, sweetheart?" He asked quietly. I looked at him.
"Okay, Tommy. I'm ready." I nodded. His eyes brightened, making me laugh as he hugged me tightly and picked me up.
"Thank you, darling! This is going to be amazing, I can't wait!" He laughed as he spun me around before putting me down. He took my face before leaning down and joining our lips, making me smile into the kiss as I held his waist. He broke the kiss and smiled at me.
"This is going to be great." I chuckled, making his smile widen and his head nod as he kissed me again.
Tom and I sat in the limo, my heart and stomach flipping as we drove to the Oscars. I looked at Tom and gave him a smile as he put his hand on my thigh.
"You look stunning, darling. The paparazzi won't be able to get enough of you." He chuckled. I bit my lip, my purple-shaded eyes and lips perfectly matching the blue dress that Tom had bought me for tonight. I was just hoping that everything went to plan, and that Tom would win the Oscar. I gulped and looked out of the window, my stomach filling with butterflies as I could already see the dozens of camera flashes from the paparazzi.
"You ready?" Tom asked. I bit my lip and nodded at him, making him return it as he opened his door. I took a deep breath and desperately tried to calm myself. Here goes nothing, I thought as Tom opened my door for me and held out his hand. I took it and stepped out of the limo, my eyes immediately squinting as I saw the bright flashing of camera lights. I gave Tom a nervous smile, him giving me a reassuring one in return as I gently took his hand. He intertwined our fingers and started to walk us along the red carpet. I tightly gripped onto his arm like a lost child, my stomach still doing flips as we walked along to the paparazzi bit.
"This is it, babe. Just smile, okay? It'll be alright." He mumbled into my ear. I gave him a small smile and nodded as we stopped at the photos section. Tom curled his arm around my waist and pulled me into his body, both of us smiling as the cameras flashed at us.
"TOM, OVER HERE!"
"TOM, WHO'S YOUR DATE TONIGHT?"
"GIVE HER A KISS FOR US, TOM!"
He chuckled and looked down at me.
"Give the people what they want, sweetheart?" He smiled.
"Go on, then." I teased. He chuckled and bit his lip before leaning down and pressing our lips together. The cameras flashes rapidly as I returned the kiss, my lips smiling against his as I held his face. I broke the kiss and bit my lip at him.
"We better head in." He nodded. I returned it, Tom waving to the paparazzi as he took my hand again and led me in.
"Our next category is best leading actor." Matthew McConaughey nodded, the Oscars well under way as we sat there. I looked at Tom, my eyebrows furrowing as he was biting his lip and nervously bouncing his knee.
"Hey, it'll be okay. You were amazing in "Cherry", they'll see that." I reassured.
"I hope so." He chuckled, though still gulping as he looked ahead.
"And best leading actor goes to...Tom Holland for 'Cherry'!" My eyes widened, as did Tom's as we looked at each other.
"You did it!" I laughed as I stood up and hugged him. He laughed into my hair and returned the hug, everyone around us cheering and clapping. He pulled away and gently pecked my lips before heading up. He laughed and smiled, other actors giving him high-fives as he made his way up to the stage. He took the Oscar from Matthew and hugged him before standing at the podium.
"Wow...where do I even start with this?" He laughed and shook his head, making me bite my lip as everyone cheered.
"So, um, this movie was a real passion project of mine. It was my chance to get away from the "Spider-Man" image, as much as I love playing "Peter" and to show myself as a serious actor who could do justice to more adult roles. I thought that I achieved that, and this award shows that other people agree." He smiled, making everyone cheer and clap.
"So, of course I want to thank the usual people. My parents and brothers for always being there for me, my friends, the Russo Brothers for giving me this chance. But I also want to thank someone new. And that's my girlfriend, Y/N." He spoke as he looked at me. I bit my lip, tears pricking my eyes as I smiled at him.
"I've only been with Y/N for a year but my god, do I love her. She's never failed to be there for me, she's never failed to show me just how much she loves and cares for me. Y/N, this is your Oscar too, for always being by my side, for dealing with me being away for months on end, for looking after Tess and the house whilst I was gone, for all of it. I couldn't have done it without you, babe." He smiled, making me laugh and shake my head as a tear rolled down my face.
"Um, yeah. This Oscar means the world to me, as does this movie, as does my girlfriend, so thank you so much." He nodded, everyone clapping and cheering as he took the Oscar and walked down. I stood up as he got to me, a smile on my lips as he pecked my cheek before we both sat down.
"I'm so proud of you, Tommy." I choked and shook my head.
"I couldn't have done it without you by my side, darling." He admitted quietly.
"Well, don't worry, because I'm not going anywhere." I promised. He smiled and bit his lip before leaning in to kiss me. I returned the kiss and held his face before breaking it, his hand on my thigh as we watched the rest of the Oscars.
