Stark and Barton, together forever (Peter Parker)

Requested by coffee_addict2005: Y/N is Clint's daughter and Peter is Tony's biological son. They've known each other since they were little and so are best friends. Peter asks Y/N out to prom but they don't tell anyone because they know how Clint will react. He ends up finding out, proving exactly why they didn't tell him

"I'm serious, my dad could beat your dad easily in an arm-wrestling competition." I scoffed, making Peter laugh and shake his head as we walked along the street towards school.

"Are you kidding? My dad literally has a suit that he can take the hand off of and wear that to win, there's no way that Clint could beat that!" he exclaimed.

"That's cheating, though." I chuckled.

"My dad doesn't care." Peter shrugged and stuck his hands into his jean pockets, making me laugh and nod my head in agreement as we walked up the steps and into school. I was Y/N Barton, the eldest child of the famous Avenger, Hawkeye. And Peter, well...Peter was the son of famous playboy Tony Stark and head Avenger, Iron Man, making him Peter Stark and significantly more famous than I was. The pair of us had been raised together since both of our dads were Avengers, and I loved it that way. We were so close that we were easily best friends, but secretly I wanted a little more. I had liked Peter as more for a while and my crush had only strengthened when he'd become ripped as a result of turning into Spiderman. And so yes, I was in love with my best friend. I snapped out of my own thoughts as we headed into the school, my eyes widening as prom posters had been put up overnight.

"About fucking time, I've been waiting forever for them to announce prom." I scoffed as we walked up to the poster. Peter looked at me.

"You want to go?" he asked. I returned the glance.

"Of course I do, Pete. What teenage girl doesn't want to go to her high school prom?" I teased, making him chuckle and nod.

"Fair point. Would you still go even if no one asked you?" he asked. I sighed and bit my lip as I looked at the poster.

"I think so. I mean, sure, I'd love for someone to ask me, but you don't have to show up to it with a date." I shrugged.

"True." Peter mumbled, his eyes still glued to the poster. I could tell that the boy was thinking about something, I just couldn't work out what.

"Come on, Pete, we need to get to class. We can buy tickets later." I spoke. He nodded, his eyes staying on the pinned-up paper for a moment longer before he started to follow me to class.

Peter's P.O.V

Peter stood in his en-suite, his eyes glued to himself in the mirror as he leant against his bathroom counter.

"Okay...now how do I do this?" he mumbled to himself before standing up straight and shaking his head.

"Y/N, will you go...no." he muttered and shook his head again.

"Y/N, would you like to go to prom with me?" he asked. He sighed and looked down before looking back into the mirror.

"Would you do me the honour of...for fucks' sake, Pete, you're not proposing to her." he quietly scolded himself as he scratched at his head.

"Y/N, how about prom...fuck, why does nothing sound right?" he groaned before looking at himself in the mirror again. He took a deep breath and tried to relax as he let his shoulders drop.

"Y/N, I'd have a great night if I was able to take you to prom, as my date. What do you say?" he asked. He nodded to himself and smiled.

"That's the one, Pete. That's the one." he spoke before opening his en-suite door and heading out to find Y/N.

Y/N's P.O.V

I sat on the sofa in the living room, scrolling before social media before having to do more school work. I looked up and gave Peter a smile as he walked in.

"Hey." I chuckled as the boy took a seat next to me.

"Hey, um, c-can I talk to you about something?" he gulped. I looked at him, my eyebrows furrowing as he looked extremely nervous.

"Course you can, Pete, you know that I'm always here." I nodded in an attempt to reassure him as I put my phone down and turned my body to face him. He took a deep breath and looked at me.

"Y/N, I'd have a great night if I was able to take you to prom. So, what do you say to being my date?" he asked. My eyes widened slightly, my heart starting to thump in my chest. He had said...date. Not going as friends, but going together, as a date. I squinted my eyes at him.

"Pete, I think that you meant to say "go as friends"." I chuckled nervously. He looked at me.

"N-no, Y/N...I meant as my date." he nodded. I gulped, my mind screaming at me to say yes as my heart almost jumped out of my chest. My crush, the love of my life was asking if he could take me to prom. He was asking me.

"I-I mean, we can g-go as friends if you'd prefer-."

"No, Pete, shit, sorry. What I meant to say is that I'd love to be your date to prom." I smiled as I finally got the words out. Peter's eyes widened.

"Really?" he returned the smile, making me nod and bite my lip. He leant forward and hugged me tightly, making me laugh as I returned the hug.

"Awesome, great. I know that prom is going to be so cool now." he stated, making me chuckle as he pulled away. My smile dipped slightly.

"U-um, just one thing, Pete. Let's not tell any of the team." I shook my head. His smile dipped too.

"What? Why not?" he scoffed.

"As much as I hate this, my dad will kill you if he finds out that you asked me out, and if we tell any of the team, it's going to get back to him. I think that we should keep it on the down low." I nodded, my mind hoping to god that he didn't see this as me being embarrassed of being asked by him.

"Okay, yeah, that's fair enough. I'm just glad that you said yes." he admitted, making me chuckle and bite my lip.

"I'm glad that you asked, Pete." I returned. He smiled, making me return it as we continued to sit there and talk.

I stood in front of my full-length mirror in my bedroom, my lip in between my teeth as I flicked my eyes up and down my body in order to check for any faults in my seemingly perfect attire. Tonight was the night that Peter and I were going to prom, and we were going together. The issue was that none of the team had been told, due to the fact that my dad would definitely kill Peter for having asked me out. I bit my lip and gave Pepper a small smile as she helped finish my hair.

"Don't tell Pete this because obviously I love him, but I always wanted a daughter as well so that I could help her get ready for milestones like this. Tony got this territory since Peter's a boy." she scoffed, making me laugh.

"Well, the next prom that Peter asks me out to, you can help me with that as well." I chuckled. My eyes widened as I realised what I'd just let slip, Pepper's eyes also widening as she looked at me.

"Y/N, what did you just say?" she questioned. I sighed and turned around to look at her properly.

"We agreed not to tell anyone because my dad would lose it if he knew. But, yeah. Peter asked me to be his date for the prom. His date, not friends." I smiled and shook my head. Pepper squealed and tightly hugged me, making me laugh as I returned the hug.

"Look at my son being confident enough to ask out the girl that he likes! About time, I've been pushing him for months to ask you out." she scoffed and shook her head, making me chuckle.

"Come on, honey. You're ready and you look beautiful." she smiled.

"Thanks, Pep. It means a lot." I returned. She chuckled and bit her lip as I opened my bedroom door and walked out. Peter leant against the back of the sofa, looking down at his phone. I had to admit, he looked amazing. He was in an all-black suit with a white dress shirt and black tie, and his hair was slightly messy the way that I liked it. He looked perfect. Tony and my dad looked up at me as Pepper and I walked in.

"Here she comes." Tony smiled, making Peter look up. His eyes widened and he stood up straight.

"Oh my god." he mumbled, making me smile and bite my lip as he skimmed his eyes up and down my body. We'd agreed to not let anything on to people, which would be easy enough. Since we lived in the same building anyway, Tony had directed Happy to take us to the prom together, so we'd just start getting more intimate and close once we got to the dance. That was the plan, anyway.

"We need photos of you two." Pepper spoke, making Peter and I look at her.

"We don't, mom, it's okay." Peter chuckled nervously.

"No, come on, kids. Even if you're not going together, we need some pictures of you together." my dad smiled. Peter and I looked at each other.

"Dad?" he gulped as he looked at Tony.

"Don't look at me, your mom is as much my boss as she is yours, kid." he chuckled. Peter and I gulped again as we looked at each other. Peter wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his body, my arm hanging over his shoulder as Tony raised his phone to take a photo.

"Hands where I can see them, Pete." my dad spoke, making Peter's eyes widen as his cheeks flushed red.

"Dad!" I hissed.

"He's got a point, everyone knows what happens between couples on prom night." Tony smirked.

"Okay but they're not a couple." my dad scoffed. Peter and I gulped and timidly looked at each other, making our dads squint their eyes at us as Tony lowered his phone.

"Oh my god." Tony chuckled as Pepper sighed and buried her face in her hand. I gulped and looked at my dad, who was staring at us with wide eyes.

"Peter Benjamin Stark, tell me that you're not taking my daughter to prom as anything more than just friends." my dad spoke through gritted teeth. We all looked at Peter, the boy's eyes filled with panic.

"Um...my parents taught not to lie to people-."

"Oh my god, he's actually taking my daughter to prom!" my dad exclaimed.

"Okay, let's just calm down. She clearly said yes, didn't you, Y/N?" Pepper asked.

"Of course I did. I really like him, of course I said yes when he asked me to go with him." I scoffed. My dad's eyes widened further.

"You like him?! This only gets better!" he shouted as he threw his arms up in exacerbation.

"Dad, listen." I demanded, making him look at me. I sighed.

"Peter and I really like each other, that got proven when he asked me out to prom. I know that this is your hell come to reality, but all we want to do is have a good night together, without the worry that you'll shoot Peter through the chest when we get back." I nodded.

"I can't promise anything-."

"Dad." I cut him off, making Tony chuckle as my dad groaned.

"Fine, alright. But I swear to god, Stark, if I find out that anything happened tonight, you'll have hell to pay." my dad warned as he pointed at Peter.

"N-nothing will happen, Clint, I promise." he shook his head.

"Go on, kids, go have fun. And Pete, remember "The Talk" that we had, yeah?" Tony chuckled. I couldn't help but snicker as Peter blushed deep breath and my dad looked at Tony with wide eyes.

"Dad!" Peter hissed.

"You're a dick, Tony." my dad nodded, making Peter and I chuckle and shake our heads as he took my hand and led us out to where Happy was waiting with the car.
