From enemies to friends *part 2* (Tom Holland)

I sat in the cafeteria with Becky and Kiera, eating our lunch and relaxing before our next class.

"Are you sure that what you felt that night was sexual tension?" Becky chuckled as I told them about the incident between Tom and I before the family dinner.

"He looked at my lips, Becky. What would you call that, if not sexual tension?" I scoffed.

"Maybe he wants to throttle you until your lips turn blue." Kiera teased, making me playfully roll my eyes at her.

"The important question is, would you act on that tension?" Becky nodded. I sighed and bit my lip.

"I don't know. I mean, yes, he's very attractive, but he's always just been a dick to me, and our families see each other so much that if we were to hook up, it would be super awkward seeing each other constantly afterwards." I shrugged.

"Unless you started dating." Kiera stated. I looked at her.

"Yeah, like that would ever happen." I scoffed and shook my head. The girls smirked and looked at each other before Kiera's gaze moved past me.

"Incoming." she warned, making me look over my shoulder. I immediately looked back to the girls and rolled my eyes as Tom walked towards our table.

"Hey, ladies." he smirked as I clenched my jaw and made a concerted effort to not look at the arrogant asshole.

"Were your ears burning?" Becky asked as her and Kiera smirked at me. My eyes widened and I glared at them, my cheeks burning in embarrassment as I could practically picture the smug look on Tom's face in my mind.

"Just a bit." he chuckled, his gaze flicking to me before he looked back at all of us.

"Um, so, I'm having a party at my place this Friday, and I wanted to invite you. All of you." he nodded, making me roll my eyes as I finally looked at him to see his gaze already on me.

"Your mum is actually letting you drink, is she?" I mocked.

"We're eighteen, dipshit, it's not like she can stop me. Anyway, they're away this weekend, which is why I'm having the party. If you had two brain cells to rub together, you could have figured that out." he nodded. I rolled my eyes again and flipped him off.

"We'll be there, Tom. Sounds great." Kiera smiled.

"Brilliant, thanks. Good to know that two of you aren't dicks about it." he mumbled as he walked away. I scoffed and shook my head.

"Can you believe him? Fucking dickhead." I mumbled. Becky and Kiera looked at each other with raised eyebrows.

"What is it now?" I groaned. They looked back at me.

"You were right. There was definitely hate-sex potential there." Becky nodded. My eyes widened.

"You think?" I gulped.

"Babe, his eyes were black whenever he looked at you. He wants you, and I think that his party on Friday is the perfect place for that tension to explode." Kiera smirked. I returned it and bit my lip, my eyes wandering as I admittedly liked the thought.

"See? You're thinking about it." Becky teased, making me chuckle and shake my head as we finished lunch.

Becky, Kiera and I walked along the street to Tom's house, the music so loud that we could already hear it from half way down the road.

"You look fucking phenomenal, babe." Kiera smirked, making me return it and bite my lip as I looked down at my attire of a red bodycon dress, strappy heels and a choker.

"Yeah? Place your bets now on how long you think that Tom will last before going for me." I teased. They laughed and shook their heads as we got to his lawn. It was already busy with drunk people dancing and making out, telling me exactly what type of party this was going to be. A fucking messy one. We walked into the house and I winced slightly as the stench of weed and cheap alcohol hit me immediately.

"Come on, I need a drink if that sexual tension is going to explode!" I yelled over the music, making Becky and Kiera smirk as we headed into the kitchen.

"Jesus." Kiera scoffed as we walked in to see that the room was already a mess.

"Part of me is tempted to send a photo of this to Nikki, Tom would be dead in seconds." I chuckled.

"Okay, but you're not going to actually do that, because you're here to get drunk and fuck your enemy who's actually your crush." Becky nodded, making me playfully roll my eyes as Kiera poured us each a vodka shot before handing them to us. We clinked the plastic shot glasses together before throwing them back, my eyes squeezing shut as I downed the sour liquid.

"Fucks' sake." I coughed.

"Y/N!" I turned around and smiled as Harrison walked into the kitchen.

"Hey, you." I chuckled as he hugged me.

"Fuck, look at you. You look stunning." he smirked and shook his head, making me return it as I gave him a little twirl.

"Like what you see, Haz?" I flirted subtly as he bit his lip and skimmed his eyes up and down my body.

"Very much so." he nodded, making my smirk widen.

"How about we dance?" he asked. My eyes widened slightly. I didn't have any feelings for Harrison, and he didn't have any for me, we were very comfortable being just friends. But I sensed that the boy was already drunk, hence why he was being so flirty, and maybe a little bit of intimacy with Tom's best friend was the push that the boy needed for the sexual tension to finally go somewhere. It was worth a shot.

"Sure." I nodded. He smiled and gently took my hand. I looked behind me at Becky and Kiera and wiggled my eyebrows at them, making them smirk and give me thumbs up as they clearly caught onto my plan. Harrison led me through the crowds of people and into the living room, where the dance floor was. He turned to face me, smirks on both of our lips as he curled his arms around my waist and pulled me into his body as I looped my arms over his shoulders. I smirked at him and bit my lip as he leant down and joined our foreheads. I could tell that the boy was drunk, he'd never do this with me normally, but I didn't mind. We continued to dance, Harrison's hands cupping my waist and roaming the small of my back as we danced.

"Ahem." I looked to the side and rolled my eyes as Tom stood there.

"What the fuck do you want, Tom? We're dancing here." I spat.

"Yeah, I can see that. I think that Harrison needs to have a drink of water." Tom smiled, clearly sarcastically as he placed a hand on Harrison's shoulder.

"No, I don't-."

"Yes, you do, come on." Tom nodded as he gently pulled Harrison out of the floor.

"Tom-." I sighed as they disappeared through the crowd, making me huff and look around.

"So much for using Haz to make him jealous." I mumbled to myself as I slipped out of the crowd to go and find Becky and Kiera again.

Tom's P.O.V

Tom stood on the dance floor, dancing with his mates and having the time of his life as he laughed and drank. He looked to his side, his eyes widening at what he saw. On the other side of the dance floor was Y/N. Dancing intimately with Harrison. Tom immediately clenched his jaw, the feeling of jealousy starting to seep into his heart as he watched the pair of them dance. After the incident between him and Y/N the other week at her house, the boy had been left somewhat...frustrated. Ever since, he'd been trying to figure out a way to finally make the tension between them lead to something. He figured that inviting Y/N to his party, where they would be drinking and dancing, would make that happen. But her dancing with Harrison instead was not part of the plan. He gulped, his self-restraint reaching the end of its strength as he started to push through the crowd to get to them.

"Ahem." He coughed. Y/N looked at him and rolled her eyes.

"What the fuck do you want, Tom? We're dancing here." She spat. Tom gulped and desperately tried to not look at how fucking incredible she looked tonight. The dress that she was wearing was hugging her body in all of the right places and making her look stunning, whilst her makeup only added to her natural beauty. Tom's breath had been completely taken away.

"Yeah, I can see that. I think that Harrison needs to have a drink of water." Tom smiled sarcastically as he placed a hand on Harrison's shoulder.

"No, I don't-."

"Yes, you do, come on." Tom nodded as he gently pulled Harrison off of the floor.

"Tom-." He ignored Y/N as he pulled Harrison through the crowd and into the kitchen.

"Mate, cockblock much? I don't need fucking water." Harrison scoffed as Tom grabbed a glass and started to fill it with water.

"You sure? Because you must be pretty fucking drunk to be dancing with my crush like that." he nodded and clenched his jaw as he slid the glass along the marble counter to Harrison. The boy's eyes widened.

"Shit...sorry, I completely forgot that you like her." he sighed and rubbed his hands over his face.

"Yeah, I do, so I don't need my best mate who hasn't been a dick to her this entire time coming in and trying to get with her instead." he scoffed.

"To be fair, Tom, you're to blame for your behaviour, not me." Harrison stated. Tom sighed and looked down.

"Yeah. I know. I'm only still going because I was hoping that the tension would be gone by now. But no. Nothing yet." he mumbled.

"Just make her jealous in return." Harrison shrugged as he took a sip of the water. Tom looked at him.

"What?" he scoffed.

"Look, mate, I know that I'm drunk, but it was obvious that she was only really dancing with me to make you jealous. So, dance with another girl. Flirt with another girl. As long as Y/N sees it, it doesn't matter." he stated. Tom's eyes widened slightly, the cogs in his brain moving as he slowly nodded.

"Yes. That might just work." he smirked, making Harrison return it as the pair headed back out to the rest of the party.

Y/N's P.O.V

"So, the dancing with Harrison worked then?" Becky smirked, making me return it and bite my lip as we stood at the side of the dance floor.

"It must have done. We weren't dancing for long before Tom clocked us and stepped in. And he did not look happy." I shook my head.

"You're not going to, either. Because I think that he's returning the favour." Kiera mumbled. My eyes widened and I followed her gaze. I scoffed, jealousy bubbling inside of me as Tom leant against the arm of his armchair, a smirk on his lips and his hands on the waist of the girl who was standing in between his legs. She giggled and put her hands on his chest, making his smirk widen as he pulled her closer.

"What are you going to do, mate?" Becky asked. I clenched my jaw, completely ignoring my best friend as I headed over to Tom.

"You guys look comfy." I smiled sarcastically, making them both look at me.

"What the fuck do you want, Y/N? I'm trying to enjoy my party." Tom scoffed and shook his head.

"Do you even know her name?" I spat. His eyes widened slightly.

"Yeah, it's, um...fuck, it's...shit." he sighed, making the girl's smile dip.

"Asshole." she mumbled as she left his arms. Tom clenched his jaw and looked at me before standing up.

"We need to have a talk. Now." he nodded, making me roll my eyes as he grabbed my wrist and started to pull me to the stairs. He yanked me up, my heels meaning that I could barely keep up as he pulled me into his room and shut the door behind us. He turned to face me.

"What the fuck was that?" he spat.

"Oh, so you're allowed to make me jealous, but I can't do the same? The fucking double standards are real, huh." I snapped.

"Jesus, you're so fucking infuriating. Everything that you do, everything that you say just pisses me off, it just makes me want to-."

"What, Tom? Makes you want to do what?" I spat as I walked towards him. He clenched his jaw, his nostrils flaring and his hands balling into fists out of anger as he stared down at me.

"Whatever it makes you want to do to me...do it." I whispered. He gulped, his lips pressed into a thin line as we continued to stare at each other with fire in our eyes. I leant in again, making him stare at me as I leant in so that our lips were only an inch apart.

"Do it."
