Q. What were the gifts that Galadriel gave to Aragorn when the Fellowship passed through Lorien?

A. A sheath for Anduril, and a silver brooch with a green stone, shaped like a bird with wings outstretched. The brooch has a bit of a history.

It was made by Celebrimbor. He gave it to Galadriel, because he had a crush on her (no seriously. Celebrimbor son of Curufin had a crush on Galadriel, his... second cousin... first cousin once removed... idk). She in turn, gave it to her daughter, Celebrian, and Celebrian gave it to her daughter, Arwen. Arwen gave it back to Galadriel when she was visiting her grandparents. I don't quite know why. It may have had something to do with Aragorn; I don't remember.

Also, shout-out to Rankin-Bass, who actually had Aragorn wearing the brooch in the animated RotK that they made. 

Yes. I know. Aragorn does not look so much like Aragorn. Oh my goodness, guys, that movie was...... Let's just say that the best part about it was the orcs singing. XD I'm not kidding. Where there's a whip, there's a way!

Now, it's true, they did not feature either Legolas, or Gimli............ but to be honest, I kinda want to see what they would have made Legolas look like... Ya'll have probably heard about the old animated The Hobbit, also made by Rankin-Bass. Thranduil in that movie was interesting. He had green skin, weird feet, cauliflower in his helmet, and this cool German accent. It's great. Ah, I love that old animated Hobbit. I watched it when I was a wee tyke. It was great. So if Thranduil was Legolas' dad, that would make him a wood elf. That would mean he would have green skin. That is an interesting picture. Green skinned Legolas.
