NO ONE'S POV:

(Y/N & Kaya are walking down a sidewalk, on their way to Kaya's home.)

(Y/N): So, Kaya?

Kaya: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): How's work been for you?

Kaya: It's been good. As you know, I love the smell of coffee. Plus seeing our customers smiling faces once they taste the coffee I make just brings me so much joy.

(Y/N): (smiles gently)

(Y/N is now in pure awe of Kaya.)

Kaya: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): ...

Kaya: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): ...

Kaya: Black Beta...

(Y/N): Huh?

(Y/N realizes what Kaya had just called him.)

(Y/N): *medium blush*

Kaya: [giggles]

(Y/N): Sorry, Kaya. I...zoned out there for a bit.

Kaya: I know. And why is that? (small grin)

(Y/N's thoughts): Does she know about my feelings for her?

(Y/N): I've got a lot on my mind.

Kaya: Ah, I'm sure you do. Again, I'm sorry about Rize, (Y/N).

(Y/N): Thanks, Kaya. I appreciate it. Really.

Kaya: Good! So, how's work been for you?

(Y/N): [sighs] Honestly?

Kaya: Honestly.

(Y/N): I'm a janitor, Kaya! A janitor! Having to clean after humans and ghouls is just demeaning!

Kaya: (Y/N)...

(Y/N): You and I used to be so much more than what we are now! I'm not saying we should go back to that but what I'm saying is...I don't like my job.

Kaya: If you feel that way about your job at Anteiku, then why don't ask Yoshimura to become a waiter?

(Y/N): I have thought about that but the thing is, I'm not...appealing to the eyes like you and Touka.

Kaya: You do know that Koma is a waiter as well?

(Y/N): Yeah but...I'd rather not be around that monkey.

Kaya: (Y/N). He's not that bad.

(Y/N): I know but still.

Kaya: If you feel this strongly about your job at Anteiku, then you could quit?

(Y/N): I'd never leave you Kaya!

Kaya: You're my Black Beta, I know that. But the Black Dogs have been disbanded for a long time now. You don't have to follow me.

(Y/N): True. But that doesn't matter to me, Kaya.

Kaya: Why still follow me then?

(Y/N): Because I lov-

(Y/N stops himself.)

(Y/N): *embarrassed blush*

Kaya: [light smile] I see.

(Y/N's thoughts): That was close.

Kaya: You find me appealing to the eye?

(Y/N): I do.

Kaya: Hmm. Good to know.

(Y/N realizes he had answered that out loud.)

(Y/N): Uh, Kaya-

Kaya: We're here, (Y/N).

(Kaya & Y/N are now in front of Kaya's home.)

(Y/N): Nice place.

Kaya: You've been here before, (Y/N).

(Y/N): It's been a while though...

Kaya: [giggles]

(Kaya & Y/N walk inside of her house.)

Kaya: Sorry about having you carry that body all the way here.

(Y/N): Huh? It's no big deal. I was going to carry him to my place anyway.

(Y/N places the body on a table.)

(Y/N): [sighs]

Kaya: I don't think I've ever seen your place, (Y/N).

(Y/N): *light blush* Really?

Kaya: You're gonna have to show me your place sometime.

(Y/N): It's a date.

Kaya: I thought this was a date?

(Y/N): Huh?! Well...

Kaya: Do you not want this to be a date?

(Y/N): No! I...

(Kaya walks up to Y/N.)

Kaya: Well, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): *deep blush* Yes. I want this to be a date.

Kaya: [giggles] Good! And (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Yes, Kaya?

Kaya: You've been blushing through your beard.

(Y/N): [sighs] Of course.

Kaya: Go wash your hands. The bathroom is down the hall and on the right.

(Y/N): Okay.

Kaya: I'm gonna go change into something more comfortable.

(Y/N): All right.

Kaya: No peeking, (Y/N).

(Y/N): I wouldn't dare!

Kaya: Even if I wanted you too?

(Y/N): *confused blush* I'll...just go wash my hands now.

Kaya: Okay, (Y/N).

(Y/N walks to Kaya's bathroom.)

Kaya: Sometimes (Y/N) can be such a puppy.

(Cut to Y/N in Kaya's bathroom where he's finishing up washing his hands.)

(Y/N): You were right, (Y/N). This is a date! I wonder how long Kaya has felt this way about me? Because if she has since our Black Dobers days? Because if so, I've been so obvious!!

(Cut to Y/N at the kitchen table & waiting for Kaya.)

(Y/N's thoughts): The inside of Kaya's house is really nice. Way nicer than my place.

Kaya: [yelling] (Y/N)! Are you in the kitchen?

(Y/N): [yelling] Yes!

Kaya: [yelling] Okay! I'll be out in a second.

(Y/N): [yelling] Take your time!

(Y/N's thoughts): I wonder what Kaya is gonna wear? All I've seen her in recently is her waitress uniform.

(Kaya walks into the kitchen.)

Kaya: Hey, (Y/N).

(Kaya comes out wearing an old shirt & shorts.)

(Y/N): ...

Kaya: What is it?

(Y/N): You look...

Kaya: Do you not like what I'm wearing? I know this a date and I thought about wearing a dress but I figured-

(Y/N): Beautiful.

Kaya: *small blush* Really?

(Y/N): Yeah.

Kaya: You aren't just saying that, are you?

(Y/N): Of course not, Kaya! You're wearing clothes that make you comfortable. This is your true self. At your most beautiful.

Kaya: *medium blush* Thank you, (Y/N).

(Y/N): (similes gently)

(Kaya walks to the kitchen table & sits next to Y/N.)

Kaya: Let's eat.

(Y/N): Right!

(Kaya & Y/N begin to pick out organs out the body Y/N had brought.)

Kaya: Enjoying your liver, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): [swallows] Yes! It's my favorite.

Kaya: [giggles] I can see that.

(Y/N): If I remember correctly...

(Y/N opens up the chest of the corpse.)

(Y/N): Almost...got it...

Kaya's thoughts: He's trying so hard.

(Y/N pulls out an organ out of the chest of the corpse. That organ being...)

(Y/N): The heart!

(Y/N places the heart on the plate in front of Kaya.)

Kaya: Thank you, (Y/N).

(Kaya & Y/N continue to eat various organs from the corpse. During this they talk, reminisce about their old Black Dober days, & enjoy each other's company.)

Kaya: You really thought that Ryuuchi was my type?

(Y/N): Yes...

Kaya: [giggles]

(Kaya places a hand against Y/N's face.)

Kaya: Why would you think that?

(Y/N): I-I don't know...

(Kaya starts to scratch Y/N's cheek.)

(Y/N): What are-

(Y/N's foot starts to tap up & down like a dog.)

(Y/N): [chuckles] Please stop.

Kaya: Okay, (Y/N).

(Kaya & Y/N continue to eat.)

Kaya: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Yes?

Kaya: You've got some blood on your lip.

(Y/N): Oh!

(Y/N wipes his lips with a napkin.)

(Y/N): Did I get it?

Kaya: No.

(Y/N wipes his lips again.)

(Y/N): How about now?

Kaya: Still there. I'll get it.

(Y/N): Tha-

(Kaya kisses Y/N. He's surprised at first but then kisses her back. It's a very passionate kiss between the two. Almost as if the two had been wanting to do this a while. Y/N separates from Kaya.)

Kaya: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Kaya, you're not kissing me because of what happened to my sister, right?

Kaya: No, (Y/N). I'm not. I've wanted to do that for a while. And from our kiss just now, so have you.

(Y/N): Yeah...

Kaya: I thought you'd make the first move tonight but alas you didn't. So I decided to make the first move.

(Y/N): Sorry.

Kaya: You should I know I don't like being kept waiting.

(Y/N): I'm really sorry.

Kaya: Hmm. I'll forgive you if you kiss me.

(With that, Y/N leans into Kaya & the two kiss passionately again. This time with Y/N picking Kaya up placing her in his lap. The kissing continues for about a minute until the break apart from each other.)

Kaya: [pants] I think...we should call it a night.

(Y/N): [pants] Yeah.

(Y/N is now outside of Kaya's door while she's still inside.)

(Y/N): Tonight was wonderful.

Kaya: It was.

(Y/N): I'll see you at Anteiku?

Kaya: Of course.

(The two kiss each other one last time & Kaya closes the door as Y/N is walking away.)

(Y/N): [chuckles] I really was obvious all this time.
