Don't make me a killer.

Hearing those words forces me to sit up and takes me out of my sleep.

That sounded like Kaneki...

I get up off the couch and run out the door, frantically looking around for him.

How am I supposed to know where he went? He didn't even tell me where he was going earlier...

Despite that, I continue to run anyway, just hoping that I'll somehow find him. Eventually, I see a waterway in the distance and I stop to look around more.

I soon notice that Kaneki's in the area. As I approach him, I see that he has long red tentacles coming out of his back and has blood on him.

What...are those things?

"What happened?" I ask.

"It's nothing... I'm fine..." He slowly walks closer, his dark hair covering both of his eyes. Something doesn't seem right so I back away with each step he takes.

"W-what are you doing?"

"I'm hungry... Would you mind helping me?"

But...that couldn't possibly be what's wrong with you... Not looking like that...

"Hungry? But I don't-" I stop, remembering Kaneki's words from earlier.

"Things ended pretty bad. I ended up becoming a half ghoul and Rize died..."

My eyes widen in disbelief and shock and I continue to back away.

"We're supposed to be...family, right? So why won't you help me? Help me...satisfy my hunger!" His head raises and his hair no longer conceals his eyes, revealing one normal eye and another that's black and red. He's smiling like a maniac about to kill one of his potential victims. His red tentacles extend from his back and come toward me but an unknown force pushes me out the way.

I land on the ground not very far from Kaneki. Slowly getting up, I realize that the unknown force was actually the white haired man who's now standing next to him. All I can see is his back but one thing remains noticeable; he's been impaled by Kaneki and is now bleeding.

Why would he do that?

"Here." The man says, handing Kaneki something that's wrapped up.

He's still standing even though he was impaled... What is he? Is he a ghoul like Kaneki? Is that why he pushed me out of the way? Did he know that Kaneki would've most likely...killed me?

Now realizing what he's done, Kaneki stands there in shock and has a look of guilt on his face.

Some time passes and we begin to walk back to Anteiku. We meet up with Hinami and Touka along the way. I notice that Hinami's mother isn't with them.

"Do you think ghouls...are supposed to live? Do we have the same right that other people have to be able to exist in this world?" Hinami asks.

Hinami... Is that what happened? Did... She was... I'm so sorry Hinami...
