DOUBLE PLY ;; AN EXTRA CHAPTER
2019 ;
HAPPY TWO YEARS OF TOILET PAPER (JULY 20TH)
HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY JUNGKOOK (SEPT 1)
;
not too much different from other days, jungkook slept right through the morning. being on break and all, he didn't have much to do. he had visited busan to see his family once with his girlfriend, which was an entirely different story for a new day. (his family loved her almost more than they adored him, which worried him to an extent but both jungkook and kisa were very glad that his family liked her.)
throughout his break, he had taken the time to reside in the luxury apartment he had bought earlier. kisa had moved out of her shared apartment with yoosung and gayeon (for personal reasons being that they often got loud and kisa was entirely too uncomfortable with this) and in to the $1.7 million dollar apartment he owned. at first, jungkook was unsure of how he was going to use this apartment considering he didn't feel any rush to move out of his shared dorm with his members in hannam.
he was just glad his girlfriend could move in with him, even if it wasn't exactly.....with him.
it was close enough.
however, unlike other days, it was his birthday and he had stayed up until 2 in the morning calling his hyungs. some were only fifteen minutes away, but it's nice to know he had company to wish him happy birthday.
it was 11AM when he had woken out of his slumber to the smell of coffee. jungkook's eyes were only half open and his lips pulled into a sleepy half-smile when he slowly made his way out of the bedroom into the kitchen.
his girlfriend of nearly two years, song kisa, sat quietly at the small kitchen table with a caramel-coloured cup of coffee and a book. not much had changed about her in those years; her now-blonde hair sitting at the same short length with round glasses sitting on her nose as she read some book that namjoon had recommended her.
it was an eventful two years of constantly being on tour (and she had joined them for a small portion of it) and going to award shows. it had been strangely natural to see kisa wandering around backstage and helping the boys get ready. the stylists enjoyed her company and she made it more bearable for them to deal with the stress of constantly traveling. backstage time was spent messing around with jungkook and the others, though carefully watchful of filming cameras.
it was awkward when kisa had to step out of the room for the filming crew, but she appreciated the times when she was with them nonetheless. on other occasions, she would be sitting at home streaming their songs.
it was only the strangest part of their tour when kisa met halsey and nearly malfunctioned so hard that when she made it back to the hotel room, she cried for an hour. jungkook had videotaped her while he was laughing, and she had gotten mad at him for a little bit.
as soon as the blonde girl heard him come, her head snapped up and she grinned immediately. her book was long forgotten on the table as she made her way towards him, reveling in the sight of his long black hair and sculpted body hidden by a mostly-white tank top and some grey sweatpants. his large hand easily made its way to his comfortable position at the small of her back, right where her white shirt overlapped with her camo cotton shorts.
"happy birthday, jungkook," she smiled as she greeted him.
the way she smiled at him so brightly and the lingering taste of the coffee from their sweet kiss instantly put him in a good mood for the day. his parents were coming up to seoul from busan in a few days, and he was glad he got to spent a birthday (close enough) with them after years of spending it with the guys.
not that anything was wrong with spending his birthday with his brothers, but it was nice to have some change too.
"what do you you want to do today, jagi?" she asked, tilting her head up to look at him. they both made their way to the table, where she slid her cup of coffee towards him.
whilst he took a sip, he thought about it. "the other hyungs in seoul will probably come over. let's just spend the day inside. i want to taste your cooking again."
kisa snorted. "we always stay inside and cook when you're here."
"because i always eat out when i'm on tour," he reminded her, taking another sip of the coffee. "this coffee has way too bitter."
his comment had his girlfriend bursting out in giggles. "i added in extra milk and sugar for you," she informed him.
jungkook, to confirm, took another sip. "oh, you're right."
kisa just hummed, amused by his antics.
"i mean, there's nothing else i want to do. we've already been grocery shopping together, and we went to han river two days ago," jungkook pondered aloud. "maybe we can bake our own cake?"
"do we even have eggs?" kisa wondered, standing up to check on the amount of groceries in their fridge. it was always a gamble to see what was in there and what wasn't. there was an entire shelf dedicated to beauty products which they both shared, and other shelves for food and condiments which also varied in quantity.
kisa's phone began to ring, so she made her way to the kitchen counter to pick it up.
"hello?" she responded. "why have you called so early in the morning?"
jungkook looked up from reading the back cover of her book. he mouthed to her, 'who is it?'
'taehyung,' she mouthed back, to where he simply nodded and continued to read the book description.
the amused laughter of taehyung sounded through her phone. "i just called to tell you something very important before you carry on celebrating jungkook's birthday with him."
"okay, and what might that be? we're thinking about making a cake. saves going outside," kisa informed her friend.
immediately, taehyung responded back. "no! don't do that!"
a bewildered expression pasted itself upon her face at his panic, her eyes meeting jungkook's almost comically as she sat back down at the table with a new cup of coffee (added with more milk and sugar just in case jungkook wanted some--which he most likely did).
"well, why not?" she asked back, still confused. jungkook ran a hand through his hair, trying to sort out his bedhead.
"jimin's flying back from paris right now!" taehyung cried out. "he already ordered a cake!"
"jimin's what?" kisa exclaimed, nearly slipping her coffee. jungkook calmly took the coffee from her hands and took another sip, grinning at her when she gave him a questioning stare.
after taehyung had given her the basic run-down of the birthday situation, it became more clear of who would be there to celebrate and who wouldn't. jungkook scrolled through his twitter feed to laugh at new photos that his hyungs had posted of him (it was a gamble every year).
"justin bieber said happy birthday to me!" jungkook cried out in shock.
"you're more popular than him right now," kisa responded.
jungkook threw the book at her.
despite his annoyance at her, he couldn't bring himself to be annoyed for long. kisa had caught the book before it hit her anyways. technically, kisa was right. however, he wasn't about to let that get in the way of his twenty third birthday gift from america.
he hummed in happiness, enjoying himself.
the day had carried on without much excitement. kisa and jungkook made seaweed soup together -- the traditional korean birthday dish. when ladling out a bowl for her boyfriend, she made sure to give him lots of beef. he had noticed it halfway into eating the soup and had smiled at her so lovingly that she had to look down right away at her own bowl of soup to stop blushing so hard.
just as taehyung said, jimin had flown in from paris to celebrate with jungkook. he had brought a smurf-designed cake and a nightmare before christmas snow globe. kisa's boyfriend had been so touched that she swore he began to tear up, but he denied it. nevertheless, kisa and jimin had become just a little bit closer that day because of their small birthday party (and their love for teasing jungkook).
kisa had taken a photo of the both of them together for them, and jimin posted a photo that he took when kisa stepped into the kitchen to get jimin and herself another cup of the alcohol they were all consuming. of course, when editing the picture, jimin was careful to but the words over the cup of alcohol to make it less obvious...even though he had posted a video telling his younger brother that they would be drinking.
jungkook was not all that big on drinking, but he definitely enjoyed being able to drink over when he would be given a juice alternative. he just found it more amusing that kisa's alcohol toleratin was extraordinarily high for her tiny body.
he guessed that it was a small-person thing, seeing as both jimin and kisa often tested each other's drinking limits.
so when jimin laid down on their couch--the couple didn't want him wandering around the streets of seoul while he was so tipsy--the couple had brought out a pitcher of water on the kitchen counter and a bottle of ibuprofen for whenever they all woke up.
kisa brought out a soft beige blanket to cover up jimin with as jungkook made his way into the bed that they both shared. when she finally returned and snuggled up to her boyfriend under the covers, the two tipsy adults smiled at each other.
"how was your day, handsome?" she asked him, kissing his nose.
jungkook scrunched up his nose and giggled. "it was really good. justin bieber sunbaenim said happy birthday to me and jimin flew in from paris to see me." he paused before he continued. "and i have my beautiful girlfriend to be next to me this year."
kisa gave him a light kiss at that comment. the previous year, they had been working. she had gotten to see him when they returned home, but most of the day was spent by jungkook recording for a music show.
he had returned home with a huge louis vuitton bag that had been gifted to him by his members. as with the rest of his bags and some of his clothes, there was a second room in their apartment for extra bags/bags storage. kisa sometimes snuck into the closet to steal clothes when she missed him.
her hand reached out of the bed duvet to stroke his soft black hair. "i love your hair right now."
"you tell me this every day," jungkook reminded her. upon remembering the many army tweets freaking out about how long he allowed his hair to grow, he also added, "army's like it too."
"good," kisa responded. "this is the best hair you've had in your life, jungkook."
jungkook laughed at that. "if i grow it out more, i'm going to look like a girl."
kisa snorted, pulling her hands away from his hair to squeeze his biceps. "yeah, because a regular girl has those arms."
accepting this challenge, jungkook's arm moved tighter around her waist. "no normal guy had this body either. just for you and army's, song kisa."
with a contented sigh, the two shifted positions so jungkook was lying flat on his back and kisa had an arm lazily wrapped around his waist as her head rested on his left pec (which was wonderfully toned). jungkook's left arm was loosely around her as well.
"we really don't deserve you, jungkook," kisa whispered, smiling at his now-sleeping form. with a small kiss to his lips, she returned to her previous position and doxed off as well.
