Chapter 3:

RM POV

"J-J-Jack?" I stuttered, as my pupils shrunk.

"I-It can't be..." I heard Jimin from beside me, our eyes both still glued to the little boy who hung from the wall, blood leaking from his mouth, and eyes stuck open.

His heart had been ripped out of his chest and his bloody, pink intestines soaked his clothes as they dangled from the inside of his stomach. His head unnaturally leaned to one side as if his neck had been snapped in half. It was a sight that would surely scar me for life.

Tears welling in our eyes, our hearts skipped a beat. Poor Jack......he didn't deserve this......

I stared at the poor little boy with one thought running through my mind.........how? And what was Mia gonna say when she found out? And.........ok I admit I had more than one question.

Jimin and I couldn't unglue our eyes from the terrifying figure above us, however, as we looked closer, we saw something...strange.........his eyes......they were pitch black, with small bits of strange gooey black liquid leaking from it.

What the heck was that? I've seen a lot of horror movies and with all the deaths I've witnessed in them......you don't have black eyes when you die......certainly not ones that are leaking. This is a mystery that I just.........I can't solve......

How did this happen? Jack didn't even come with us! He was just an innocent child! What did he do to deserve this?!

I felt small tears prickle my cheeks when suddenly a voice boomed from behind us making Jimin and I jump scared out of our pants.

"JACK!!" The voice called, giving me a shiver as the strange yet familiar figure ran around the corner I had come from.

I tried to see who it was but my vision had blurred from the previous tears.

Who the hell was it now?!

Whoever it was, I wasn't gonna let them hurt me or Jimin. No one else can get hurt!

I ferociously wiped my tears from my eyes to see who these strange people were.

Blinking a few times my eyes widened as, running towards the innocent little boy, was Mia and J-Hope.

"JACK!!" Mia screamed once again, fiercely pushing the tears off her face.

"MIA!! J-HOPE!!" Jimin and I yelled, running and embracing them in a warm, relieving hug. We were all so happy to be okay......to be alive.

"Get off me!!" Mia yelled, pushing us away as tears continued to fall from her eyes like a waterfall. "We have to get him down from there!!" She screamed, pointing to her little brother hanging from the top of the wall.

"There's no way to get up there!" Jimin responded, clearly panicking.

"W-We have to! We have to find a way!! There has to be a way!!" She screamed, frantically looking around. "Come on! Come on!!" She threw her hands to the top of head, pulling at her hair in frustration.

Jimin, J-Hope and I shared concerned looks for the struggled girl, discussing with our eyes who was gonna tell her that he was......gone...

J-Hope stepped forward, slowly placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Mia, I-I'm sorr~" Before he could finish his sentence, Mia immediately turned around and embraced him, wetting his shirt with her tears. "H-He can't be gone! He can't be!" She cried, her voice cracking through every word.

Jimin and I shared depressed looks before facing the ground to let our tears escape. We may not have known him as well as J-Hope and definitely not Mia but he was a good kid. He didn't deserve this......none of us did.

I clenched my fists and squinted by eyes, trying my hardest not to scream in emotional pain and drop to the ground.

I couldn't even begin to imagine how hard that must have been for Mia to see. The only person who she thought cared......hanging from the wall. Her parents despised her already, what would they do to her when they found out what happened to their son? Kill her? Abandoned her? Have her arrested? No.........no there's no way we would let that happen. She did nothing wrong!

J-Hope rested his head on top of Mia's, still hugging her tightly and crying as his tears wet her hair.

"What are we gonna do?" I hear Jimin speak under his breathe with the most raspy voice I have ever heard from him.

My eyes searched around for any clue of how to escape or at least what was going on. For any......hope......

"Ugh that's it!" I scream, squinting my eyes and pulling at my hair. "I'm not gonna let anyone get hurt! I promised I'd keep everyone safe and I intend to keep that promise!" I puffed out as all eyes were on me.

A moment of silence flew by as everyone was shocked by my sudden outburst.

"But Jimin~" J-Hope opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off.

"But nothing! We are not letting anyone else get hurt! I am not letting anyone else get hurt! Jack was an innocent little boy! He did absolutely nothing and didn't deserve the pain he endured..."

I continued rambling on about how unfair his treatment was as tears streaked my cheeks.

"It's not right! None of this is! We have to find the others and get out of here or else we'll never~"

Suddenly a echoey, creepy voice interrupted me.

"There is no escape." The voice spoke.

"There is no escape." It spoke again.

"Who are you?!" I yelled, my eyes searching the sky as everyone frantically looked around.

"But one." It spoke.

"But......one?" Jimin questioned, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

She......o-or he......ugh whatever that thing was......it was crazy......what in the world were they talking about? They just told us there's no escape!

"But......one." It spoke again as, without even seeing, I could feel the smirk on its face

"How?" Mia hesitated, looking down in confusion before snapping her head back up. "How?!" She shouted.

"You must first find the terror that looms through the knight, then and only then, will you learn how to fight."

A moment of silence, once again, slowly crawled by.

What

The

Heck?!

What does that even mean?!

"What?" Jimin questioned, again raising an eyebrow and searching the sky.

"Hello?" J-Hope raised his voice towards the clouds. "Hello?!" He shouted again, but yet there was no answer.

"R-RM you can solve that, right?" Mia sniffed, looking at me with great fear in her eyes. "Right?" She spoke a little louder.

"I hope so." I spoke sternly, looking towards the sky as the sun began to set.

"I really hope so..."
