Mission at the mall

(Tony's PoV)

Ah Japan. One of the most interesting places on this planet. Filled with lively people, beautiful culture, lots of women (Pepper don't kill me) and it was a nice place to take a break.

Problem is...almost none of us speak Japanese. Just Natasha and Clint. So why are the Avengers here?

A mission. That's right. Not even me, Tony Stark can take a break from fighting bad guys. Just this week alone, we had to stop a couple of Loki's goons, stop a robbery at one of the most popular museum and stop a bomb from destroying the world. You know, the usual.

We got a notice that a new threat was stirring up quickly in Japan so we went over to go check it out. However, everything seemed normal when we got there.

"Be on your guard. Who knows what could be happening that we can't see in plain sight," I heard Steve say. I let out a sigh at this.

"I heard that sigh Stark," he said. "Yeah yeah. You got me," I said, raising both hands in defeat even though he couldn't really see me.

We split up into pairs to see where the danger could be. Bruce and I walked around a mall, wearing some sort of disguise so we wouldn't get recognized by fans. Don't get me wrong, I love my fans but it's not the time to be signing autographs when I'm on a mission. Got to have my priorities straight.

"So what do you think the danger is?" Bruce asked but I shrugged. "Who knows. Maybe it's our sensors being paranoid again. Wouldn't hurt to be safe if you know what I am saying," I explained.

"Tony you know that something has been up lately. Remember what Loki said before he got thrown into the air by Thor? Things are changing, something is rising. We need to be on guard in case something happens," Bruce pointed out

"Alright, alright. You win," I muttered and we kept wandering around the mall.

We past two kids, one had white hair and another light pinkish hair who looked sleep deprived. I couldn't understand their conversation since they were both speaking Japanese but it sounded like it was a polite greeting.

What nice kids, I thought as Bruce and I walked away. The little I realized then...

Just as we walked away, the girl with the pinkish hair bumped into us, muttering, "Sorry," (I think) and walked away to the arcade. She looked like a high school student.

"Guess high schoolers are shopping today," I muttered. "Hmm," Bruce said. "Hey any news?" Steve asked through the communications of my glasses.

"Nothing. Just a regular day at the mall," I explained. "Keep your guard up just in case," Steve said. "You know, this is kind of a waste of time. Our sensors are just being paranoid, wouldn't be the first time this happened," I said.

"Stark, we need to make sure that nothing bad happens. Our last encounters..." I heard him shudder before continuing, "were not pretty."

"Right. Bruce and I will keep scanning around the mall and we'll be done. And once we're done, you'll see that there is nothing to worry abou-," I explained but got cut off by the fountain breaking and a gush of water shot up like a geyser.

"You just had to jinx it, did you?" Bruce groaned. "Stark, Banner stay where you are. I'll get the others to come at your location," Steve commanded.

"We got get to the civilians to safety," Bruce exclaimed. "Right, I'll call up my armor and lead them to safety. You go and gather up the ones who are being left behind," I said and he nodded.

I tapped my heart reactor and summoned up my armor. Time to be Iron Man.

(Tiny time skip)

We managed to get most of the civilians out of harms way. However the most chaotic bunch were a bunch of high schoolers still stuck in the mall. I'm not sure what their deal is although I'm guessing that it's no man gets left behind.

Then I heard an explosion from inside the mall and rushed over to see if anyone got hurt.

A shoe shop got in the way but no one was hurt thank god. Just then, Steve appeared in his Captain America glory.

"Wow arrived just in time," I said sarcastically. "Hey traffic was busy and Clint and Natasha were more far away from this location," he explained.

"Looks like something or someone caused this shoe shop to burst into pieces. What I find interesting that there is no fire going on," Steve turned back to the shop.

Then we heard footsteps running away. We turned around to see two girls running away from the scene. A small girl in a kimono and another wearing some sort of school girl uniform with some restraints or something. And that's when we noticed the other kids staring at us.

An average looking girl with a high school girl uniform with a piece of thin hair that defines gravity, another girl with long blue hair and wearing a different uniform with a pink bow on her chest (it's hard to miss it) and the same white haired boy from earlier.

They were standing next to a device that was still smoking like it has just been used. They stared at us awkwardly.

Then Steve just had to do this thing. He just had to yell, "Hey you three!" The kids stiffen at this.

The white haired boy said something to his companions and the average girl seemed to agree with what he said due to the bluette nodding her head.

They ran off.

Way to go Steve, I thought, turning my helmet head towards him.

"Stark why are you looking at me like that?" He asked and I sighed.

"Haven't being around the kid taught you anything about high schoolers?" I asked, mentioning Peter.

"Sort of...," Steve replied.

"Great you got to be fu*king kidding me," I muttered. "Language," Steve said quickly before apologizing, saying that it's out of habit.

"Guys what's the situation?" I heard Natasha asked through the communicators. "Uhh nothing much other than Mr. America here scaring some kids off," I explained. Steve groaned at this.

"Well chase after those kids, maybe they know something. But keep them out of harms way, it would look bad on us if some kids ended up getting hurt because of us," Natasha ordered.

"Wait why are we kidnapping some kids?" I asked.

"We're not kidnapping. It's merely asking them questions on what happened," Natasha explained calmly.

"So it's an interrogation then," Steve said.

"You say interrogation, I say it's just asking some questions. Now get to it!" Natasha ordered.

I heard her turn off her communications and rose up. I turned to face Steve. "I'll go see where those kids might have gone, you follow and think of a plan to get them," I explained.

"Just don't scare them off like I did," Steve pointed out.

"Alright," I flew off to see where those kids went.

A/N: just some notes. The THH kids are wearing their regular uniforms, like the ones you see them wear in game. The SDR2 kids are wearing their outfits from the anime, the despair arc. And the NDRV3 kids are wearing their pregame clothes.

Just for some visuals so you can imagine them.
