T W O - P A R T O N E
|| Lana's P.O.V ||
It turns out that walking out on my job wasn't such a good idea. This morning I had woken up and gone to work thinking I still had a job, turns out I got fired.
So now I have no job, which sucks, it means I have no money to help my mum with the bills and it also means I have to go through the struggle to find a new job.
As soon as I heard I was fired I headed straight home and flopped on to the couch like a fish out of water. I was so lucky my mum was at work and she wouldn't be here to smack me for being stupid.
I guess this is what you get for walking out of your job because a guy that hurt you walked in and you couldn't handle it. Thanks a lot Jin.
I groaned and slapped myself on the forehead.
"Abusing yourself is very unhealthy," a voice said, startling me and making me fall off the couch.
"What the shit?!" I looked at the intruder and frowned, "JIN!!! What are you doing here?"
"Well I was looking for you but you weren't at work so I thought you'd be here, I was going to knock and when my hand hit the door, it swung wide open," Jin explained, "so, I walked straight on in and here you were slapping your forehead like an insane person."
"So you basically thought it was okay to walk in with out permission."
"Basically," he nodded, grinning.
I growled and managed to get up off the ground. I glared at Jin once I was standing and folded each of my arms underneath my armpits.
"You look like a grumpy cat," he chuckled.
"I do not," I said, offended. How dare he!
"You do to! Don't deny it," Jin exclaimed.
I glared at him, "Whatever, now, can you leave?"
Jin's smile dropped and he started to frown, "Nope."
"Why the hell not?" I gritted my teeth, refraining myself from kicking the living shits out of him.
"Because, I said I was going to make it up to you for what I did in the past, so, I am," Jin said, "starting today."
"Why today?" I groaned.
"Because today is the day we first met, and it going to be the day we rekindle a little bit of our friendship," Jin said, smiling.
"Yeah, nah, I don't want to," I grumbled and flopped back onto the couch.
"Why?" Jin asked, his face turning into a disappointed look.
"Because," I mumbled.
"That's not a good answer," Jin said, "your gonna come with me wether you like it or not."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Please!?"
"Fine," I groaned, "you better take me somewhere where there is food."
"I was planning on that," Jin grinned and I gave him a small smile.
I yelped as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of the house. I quickly locked the door before being pulled towards Jin's car and then being pushed into it.
He quickly hopped in beside me in the drivers seat, smiling wide.
"Where are we going?!" I asked.
"Someplace where there is food," Jin said.
I stared at him, blinking my eyes rapidly, "Jinjja! Nah, shit. Come on narrow it down."
He giggled before starting the car up and driving away from my house, "You're gonna like it, it's one of your favourite places."
"I have heaps of favourite places, that doesn't narrow it down," I said, frustrated with his answer.
After twenty minutes of silence we finally pulled up in front of an old cafe, with fairy lights scatter all over it and a small garden beside it with multiple rose bushes sectioning it off.
I smiled wide knowing exactly where we were. Minnie's Diner, where Jin and I had our first friendship date. It made me feel giddy inside that he still remembered this place.
Jin and I got out of the car and entered the cafe, we both stared in awe. It was still such a cutesy place and was so familiar. I smiled as I saw another familiar thing.
"Martha! Good to see you!" I shouted and the older woman looked up from her small notepad, grinning.
"Holy! Lana it's been so long, like what three and a half years?!" Martha exited the small booth she was in and walked towards me, enveloping me in a hug.
"Yeah, sorry I hadn't visited in so long," I said, frowning.
"Oh it's okay dear! You had a life to live," Martha laughed heartily before look at Jin who was awkwardly standing there, "Jin! You've grown! Your such an attractive young man!"
"Oh, thank you Martha," Jin blushed a bright red and was enveloped in a hug by Martha.
I smiled warmly then bit my lip. I watched as Jin and Martha conversed into a long conversation about life. I moved away and walked through the cafe, finding my old spot that I always sat at with Jin when we would come here.
The memories were so good here and I praised Jin for his effort of trying to get me to forgive him. I slowly sat down and after awhile Jin joined me.
"Dearies, I'll go get you your usual," Martha giggled, "I still remember it after all these years!"
I smiled, "Thank you!"
Awkward silence filled the air when Martha left. Jin sat there staring at me, his eyes scanning my face. I bit my lip, nibbling on it and looked down. A soft growl made me jump and I looked up at Jin who had his eyes narrowed on my lips.
I blushed hard and started to fidget in my seat. I had no idea why he was acting like this and it made me nervous to see him being so manly. I really wanted Martha to come back now, hopefully food would sort the tension in the air out.
"Lana." Jin purred.
