Owen drives while I try to call my brother again, hoping that he would pick up, but something told me he wouldn't. I tried calling Zach like five times and he didn't answer any of them which did not seize my worry, it only made it grow.

Owen stopped the Jeep in the middle of the field and opened the door.
" Stay in the car."

I rolled my eyes and unbuckled my seatbelt. " We're doing this together. You're stupid if you think we're not."

I closed the door to the Jeep as I got out and realized there was a long neck dinosaur laying on the ground and it was where Owen was walking to. I followed him, noticing the claw marks all over the dinosaur and I kneel I the ground next to the dinosaur as Owen kneels on the ground on the other side.

" Poor thing." I mumbled, gently placing my hand on its skin as its eyes look over at me. I frown, seeing the pain in its eyes and the dinosaur looks over at Owen. " Hi." he whispers and gently pets the dinosaur.

The dinosaur then let out a noise of distress. " I know, I know." Owen continues to whisper softly and this made me realize how much he cared for dinosaurs. I always knew he cared for them, I can't really explain it. It's like I saw him in a new light.

I continue to pet the dinosaur gently, but suddenly she lifts her head up and I back away. " You're okay, your okay." Owen tells her, gently guiding her head back on the ground.

She looks over at me and I reach forward and gently place my hand back on her neck. A frown forms on my face as her eyes close and she stopped breathing. I look at Owen with a solemn look. Confusion then forms on my face as he stands up and starts walking forward.

I slowly stand up and follow him, my eyes widening as we see the field covered with dinosaurs just like the one we just watched die. " This is awful." I say and he nods in agreement.

He looks over at me. " The weird thing is that it didn't eat them." he looks back at the dinosaurs. " It's killing for sport."

My eyes grow wide and I look at him with shock. Why would it want to do that? I look back at the dinosaurs. These poor dinosaurs didn't deserve to die.

We're now driving again and Owen pulls to a stop whenever I point out a broken gryosphere and I had a bad feeling that my brothers had used that one. We get out of the Jeep and walk over to it. I silently watch as Owen picks up what looks like a dinosaur tooth on top of the gryosphere.

" Is that what I think it is?" I nervously ask and he nods. " Dinosaur tooth."

I bit my lower lip and walk over to him, but stop as I notice something on the ground. " Now I know why Zach isn't answering my calls." I say as I bend down to pick up Zach's broken phone and stand up, showing Owen the phone.

" They made it out." Owen pointed out and I look in front of me, a small smile grew on my face as I notice the footsteps in the mud. At least they made it out alive. I just hope they're still alive when we find them.

We follow the footsteps the best we could and end up at a waterfall. We look down at the drop.

" You think they jumped?" I ask as I look over at them.

" If they're smart, they would've." Owen replies.

" More like they're dumb." I mumble as I look back at the drop.

" Brave kids." Owen corrected me and I roll my eyes.

" Come on, let's go find my brothers." I tell him and start walking in a direction, but I let out a surprised yelp when Owen grabs my arm and pulls me back. " Let's get one thing straight, I'm in charge out here. You do everything I say, exactly as I say it."

I stare at him in disbelief as I pull my arm out of his grasp and laugh. " You're funny."

He rolls his eyes. " Let's go. It's just like a stroll in the woods." he takes his gun off of his shoulder as he looks at me. " 65 million yeas ago."

I roll my eyes and I follow him. After walking for awhile we stop when we hear the sound of a engine. We both look at each other and then start running. We stop running when we come across an abandoned and broken building.

I look over at Owen who bent down and picked up something. " Is this one of theirs?" he asks as he holds up a jacket. I let out a sigh of relief and walk over to him. " Yeah, that's Zach's jacket."

I look over at the Jeep. " They probably fixed the other Jeep," I look at the road. " and they most likely went on that road that leads to the park."

" How did they even get one of these things started?" Owen asks and I turn around to see him looking around.

" Our grandfather taught us how to fix a Jeep. It's easy." I walk over and went to open the hood of the Jeep when the building moved, and Owen grabs ahold of my arm to stop me. We hear the noise get louder outside and he gets down on the ground, pulling me with him and we hide in front of the Jeep.

I look over to see Owen peak out from the side of the Jeep and I realized that he had his gun rested against the Jeep. Our shoulders touch as he quickly moves back against the Jeep when there was a loud thump and I could only guess that was the I-Rex.

My heart beat rapidly as I notice out of the corner of my eye the I-Rex was right next to us. I look over at Owen and as if he knew I was panicking, he intertwined his right hand with my left and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

I close my eyes as I feel the Jeep move. I open my eyes when I think the I-Rex had left and look over as Owen peaks out and slowly moves to grab his gun that rested against the Jeep and then quickly gets back besides me.

I look over at Owen and he nods. I let out a sigh, hoping that he meant that the I-Rex was gone. My eyes grow wide when the right side of the roof falls in and I quickly cover my head and then realized that Owen was wrapping his arms protectively around me.

The I-Rex roars seconds later and I look over at Owen and we both nod. We quickly get up and go to make a run for it. I look over my shoulder to see Owen barely making it. If he didn't made it he would've been crushed by the Jeep that was pushed roughly his way.

We keep running through the abandoned building, and soon luckily get out. We don't stop running as we hear the loud roar of the I-Rex behind us. I call Claire as we run so I can tell her that we found the I-Rex and told her where it was.

" Are you following the dinosaur? Please tell me you're not." Claire said on the other line of the phone.

" Sorry, I can't 'cause we are." I say. " Get ACU out here-"

" ACU is airborne." Claire interrupts her.

My eyebrows furrow in confusion.
" Who's flying the helicopter?"

After we hang up Owen and I continue to run through the woods and come across a building with a glass round roof and notice the helicopter. I hit Owen on the shoulder to get his attention and point at the I-Rex who had run into the glass after whoever was in the helicopter shot at it a couple of times.

Not a moment later we watch as pterodactyls fly out towards the helicopter. We watch as the pterodactyls crash into the helicopter and it crashes into the glass roof. We run back to the main part of the Island whenever my phone rings.

" Hello?" I answer.

" Alex," Claire says. " We spotted the boys on the surveillance cameras. They're at the west gate. Me and Zara are heading there now."

" Okay, okay, good. We're on our way." I tell her and hang up as someone yells, " Hey!" I look over to see it was Owen on a four-wheeler.

He gestures me over to him. " Get on!"

I run over and get on behind him and I have to wrap my arms around him so I don't fall off as he quickly takes off.

He parks the four-wheeler once we get closer and then we take off running to where Claire said the boys might be at. Owen, along with some of the security shoots at the pterodactyls that were flying around while I get on top of a broken table, trying to see if I could spot my brothers in the chaos of the crowd of people around us.

I notice redhaired women running my way and I let out a sigh of relief.

" Claire!" I yell as I rush over to her and we hug.

" I'm so glad you're okay!" Claire says as she hugs me tightly. " Have you found the boys yet? I've been looking for them everywhere and I sadly lost Zara." she frowns as she tells me this.

I frown. " That's awful and no I haven't seen them yet." I pull away from her as Owen yells, " Alex, they're-" and I look over at him, confused at why he stopped in the middle of the sentence, but my eyes grow wide as a pterodactyl jumps on him.

" Owen!" I pick up a gun that belonged to one of the security and I run over to where Owen was trying to stop the pterodactyl from eating him. I kick the pterodactyl off of him, aim the gun at it and then I shoot it a few times until I know it's dead.

I breathe heavily as I look down at Owen who looks up at me with surprise. " Wait, is that Alex?" I hear someone ask in disbelief, but I'm too busy helping Owen up to realize who it was.

Owen smiles at me and I smile back at him. My eyes grow wide as he pulls me in for a kiss and I know it's probably not the best situation to be kissing someone, but I can't help but kiss him back. I close my eyes as I melt into the kiss while he wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

" Alex!" we pull away from the kiss as we hear my name being yelled and I look over, my eyes widening as I see my younger brothers with Claire.

" Boys!" I pull away from Owen and run over to them. I wrap my arms around them both and they both hug me back tightly. " I thought I would never see you guys again."

Zach chuckles. " You can't get rid of us that easily."

We pull away from the hug and I ruffle Zach's hair. " Good."

" Who's that?" Zach asked, crossing his arms over his chest as he nodded his head behind me. I look over seeing that Owen had walked over to us.

" That's Owen. We work together." I tell them. They don't seem to believe it at first and I roll my eyes. " Come on, we need to get out of here."
