Nandini freshened up and came to the kitchen to make dinner for herself. While cooking, she messaged Fab 4, Navya and Aryamann. The message read :

Guys, if you all are free come at my place right now. I need to discuss something really important with you all. And also, if anyone is with Manik please don't tell him that I've messaged you'll to come to my place.

After cooking, she sat at the dining table to have dinner. As she was about to go to keep the empty plate in the sink, her doorbell rang. She kept the plate back on the dining table and went to see who was at the door. She opened the door and saw Fab 4 outside.

Nandini : Come in, guys.

They entered the house and settled themselves on the couch in the living room.

Alya : Nandini itna urgently kyu bulaya? Everything is okay naa?

Mukti : Haan Nandini, sab thik hai na? Aur Manik ko batane se mana kyu kia?

Nandini : Guys let's wait for Navya and Aryamann, fir mein sab kuch batati hu.

Cabir : Okay

Nandini : Will you guys have coffee?

Fab 4 : Yeah sure.

Nandini : Mei abhi banakar laati hu.

Nandini went to the kitchen to make coffee and the doorbell rang again. Mukti stood up and opened the door. Arymann and Navya came in and settled themselves on the couch. Nandini came back with 4 cups of coffee and gave it to Fab 4.

Nandini : Navya, Aryamann, tum log kuch loge?

Navya : Nahi, hume kuch nahi chahiye.

Aryamann : Thoda pani please.

Nandini went to bring a glass of water for Aryamann. As she handed the glass to Aryamann,

Aryamann : Nandini, why did you call all of us so urgently?

Nandini: Guys you'll remember naa ki 4 days baad kya hai?

Dhruv : Kya hai 4 days baad?

Nandini : Dhruv seriously, tum yeh puch rahe ho ki 4 days baad kya hai? Guys 4 days baad, Manik ka birthday hai. Seriously, tum logo mei se kisiko bhi yaad nahi tha?

Alya : Ohh yeah. How could we forget Manik's birthday?

Cabir : Ohh, so this is the reason why you have called all of us here.

Nandini : Haan guys. I need your help to plan a surprise birthday party for Manik.

At Manik's house

Manik was feeling bored so he thought of calling Cabir. As he was going to dial Cabir's number, he remembered Nandini telling them that Chacha, Chachi and Rishabh had gone to Mangalore. He thought, 'Nandini would be alone at home. Why not spend some quality time with her? Aur vaise bhi Chacha, Chachi nai hai toh Nandini ko mujhe bhagane ka mauka bhi nai milega. She explained her plan for Manik's birthday to Fab 4, Navya and Aryamann.

It was 11 by the time Nandini discussed her plan with everyone and explained to them what they were supposed to do. Suddenly the doorbell rang again.

Nandini : Iss waqt kaun ho sakta hai?

She went towards the door and looked through the peephole. She saw Manik standing outside. As soon as she saw him, she whisper-shouted 'MANIK.'

Nandini : Guys, ab kya kare? Manik bahar khada hai.

Mukti : What? Par Manik yaha kya kar raha hai?

Cabir : (Chuckling) Aur kya kar raha hoga? Apni girlfriend se milne aaya hoga. Vasie bhi woh Nandini se dur kaha reh sakta hai. Aur ab toh iske paas bahana bhi hai because chacha chachi ghar par nai hai na.

Everyone started chuckling on his statement and Nandini got annoyed.

Nandini : (Angrily) Shut up Cabir! Yeh mazak karne ka time nahi hai. Kuch socho. Kya kare? Agar Manik ne tum sabko yaha dekh liya toh hum usse kya kahenge? Bahut problem ho jaayegi guys.

Nandini was panicking. She didn't want his birthday surprise to be spoiled at any cost. She couldn't think of any solution either.

Navya : Hum sab kahi chup jaate hai.

Cabir : Arey waah Navya. Pehli baar tumne akal ki baat ki hai.

Cabir jested. Nandini ignored what Cabir said.

Nandini : Par tum sab chupoge kaha?

She thought for a few seconds.

Nandini : Ek kaam karo, tum sab mere room mei chup jaao. Haan yeh sahi hoga. Go guys. Jaldiii..

Mukti : Nooo.. Manik sab se pehle wahi aayega.

Mukti winked at Nandini.

Aryamann : Let's go and hide in chacha - chachi's room. Manik waha definitely nai aayega.

Alya : Good idea! Let's go guys before Manik aur ek baar bell bajaye.

All of them rushed towards chacha - chachi's room and Nandini went to open the door. After opening the door,

Nandini : Arey Manik, tum.

Manik : Nandini tumne itni der kyu laga di darwaza kholne mei? Pata hai, mei kab se bahar khada hu.

N: Woh actually... Woh mein washroom mei thi, isliye mujhe itna time laga. Lekin tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?

Manik was baffled on hearing her question.

Manik : What do you mean mei yaha kya kar raha hu? Mei yaha tumse milne aaya hu. Apni girlfriend ke saath time spend karne aaya hu. Tumhe acha nahi laga? Agar tumhe acha nai laga toh mei chala jaata hu.

Manik was about to turn around.

Nandini : Nahi Manik. Mera woh matlab nai tha. Mei toh bas woh aise hi puch rahi thi. I mean tum aise bina call ya message kiye aa gaye so.

Manik : Mei tumhe surprise dena chahta tha Nandini. Anyway, Chacha-Chachi and Rishabh kab wapas aayenge?

Nandini : Pata nai. Chachi ka phone aaya tha. Unhone kaha ki 3-4 days lag jaayenge.

Manik : Ohh Wowwwww. Iska matlab I can stay with you for 3-4 days.

Nandini : Manikkkk...

Nandini blushed. On the other hand, everyone in the room was listening to Manik and Nandini's conversation.

Mukti : Yeh Manik ko toh sirf mauka chahiye Nandini ke saath rehne ka aur romance karne ka. Yeh toh ek minute bhi Nandini se dur nahi reh sakta.

Everyone chuckled at Mukti's statement.

In the living room

Manik and Nandini were sitting on the couch. Nandini's head was near Manik's heart. She was listening to his rhythmic heartbeats. Manik was carelessly playing with Nandini's fingers.

Manik : Nandini..

She just hummed in response.

Manik : Tum jaanti ho na mei tumhare bina nahi reh sakta?

Nandini was confused. She couldn't comprehend why Manik was asking her this question.

Nandini : Haa Manik, mei jaanti hu. Lekin tum aisa question kyu puch rahe ho?

Manik : Nandini, tum kabhi mujhe chodkar nahi jaaogi na? Chahe kuch bhi ho jaaye, tum hamesha mere saath rahogi na?

Now, Nandini was getting worried. She didn't understand why, all of a sudden, Manik was asking such questions. She moved her head from his chest to look at his face. She found Manik looking in a far away direction, particularly at nothing. Cupping his face, Nandini turned his face in her direction so that see could look into his eyes. His eyes looked sad.

Nandini : Manik, kya hua hai? Tum suddenly yeh saare questions kyu puch rahe ho?

Manik : Nandini please, mere questions ka jawaab do.

His voice held a kind of sadness that pierced Nandini's heart. She didn't know what had gone wrong but she couldn't see Manik in any kind of pain.

Nandini : Nahi Manik, mei tumhe chodkar kahi nahi jaaungi. Kabhi nahi.

Manik : Promise?

Nandini : Promise.

He gave her his signature smile. Looking at Manik smile, Nandini smiled too. She kissed Manik's forehead. Manik took her in his embrace and kissed the top of her head. Having her in his arms, Manik found his peace.

Manik : I love you.

Nandini : I love you too.

Suddenly, they both heard a noise.
