Manik woke up in mid night not feeling nandani around him. His eyes scanned the whole room but she was no where.

Ma: yeh ladki na, Khabhi Shanti se nhi reh sakti ( irritated)

Saying this he stood up and went to nandani favorite place kitchen. ND he was right. She was sitting on the counter eating kulfi

Ma: ND I was right. ( looking at nandani)

Manik went to her angrily but all his anger flew seeing her crying. He panicked and cupped her face.

Ma: nandu bacha Kya hua

Na: manik, ice cream Khatam hogyi. ( teary eyes. Innocently)

Manik was standing their with a shocked look. Truly her mood swings are getting tough for him to handle but he is Nandani's manik how could he complain.

He smiled at her.

Ma: Itni si baat, Chalo ice cream lekar aate h.

Na: Yayyy ( excited) Lets go.

Manik got his wallet and car keys. They drove to ice cream parlour but they were closed. Nandani sadly pouted sitting their.

Na: maniii stoppppp

Ma: Kya hua ( worried)

Na: see that ( pointing towards something)

Manik saw a boy, sitting on the footpath, crying. They step out of the car and went to that small boy.

The boy saw them coming towards him and became scared.

Boy: no.. Don't hurt me ( scared)

Ma: baby we won't hurt you ( softly)

Boy: pakka

Na: pakka bacha. ( sitting beside him) what's your name?

Boy: aarav ( innocently)

Ma: where are your parents?

Boy: I don't know. When I was small they left me on the orphanage door step.

Nandani felt some kind of pain in her heart.

Na: then what are you doing here aarav?

Boy: I ran away from their.

Nandani went to car and bought water for him. Aarav gulped the water down his throat.

Ma: but why?

Boy: uncle they are very bad. They didn't let us study and made us do house hold. And if we refuse to do, they used to beat us. Please save my friends, they will beat them.

Manan were shocked to listen this. The boy was crying. Nandani hugged him. Aarav felt motherly love and snuggled into nandani.

Ma: nandu Let's get him home. I will check on the orphange tomorrow ( furiously)

Nandani nodded and picked up the boy. They both drove to home.

Nandani placed aarav on the bed. He looks nervous.

Na: manik stay with him. I will get him food.

Manik nodded with a smile. He sat beside aarav.

Ma: aarav nervous hone ki jarurat nhi h. Be comfortable ( smiling)

Aar: thank you uncle.

Nandani came with Abeer clothes and food.

Na: aarav come I will get you change.

Aarav smiled at nandani. He was getting motherly love from her. ND manik, he could feel this. He looked at nandani who was having a smile on her face. Nandani made him changed his clothes and feed him.

Manik made him sleep. Manan went to their room.

Ma: you wanna say something?

Na: Mani how can someone be cruel with such a cute boy. ( teary eyes)

Ma: I know, I will not leave them.

Na: Mani (nervous) can we adopt him? He will get parents and we will get a cute little boy. I feel some connection with him.

Ma: nandu I was also thinking about it. I don't want him to return back.

Na: thank you Mani ( hugging him)

Manik smiled and hugged her back. After breaking the hug, he bend down to her belly.

Ma: princess you are gonna get a big brother.

Nandani smile.

Next morning, everyone was sitting in living room with a serious face. Manik told them everything about aarav and about the adoption. They all were happy about it. But we angry on the orphange.

Cab: manik what are you gonna do next?

Ma: first, I will get that orphange under me and then get all the culprit in jail.

Muk: I'm so proud of you.

Abhi: nandani kha h?

Ma: aarav ke sath.

Nandani and Abeer was with aarav. They were talking to him. Abeer and aarav were talking. Being kids they became friends quickly.

Ab: chachi can't he live here? (pouting)

Na: of course. Aarav will you stay with us.

Aar: aunty you are already doing so much for me. I can't.

Na: why? Don't you like us

Aar: nothing like that aunty. I really love you all. For the first time I felt happiness in my life.

Na: aarav ( pulling him in her lap) me and manik want to adopt you. Then will you stay with us.

Aar: I will get parents love? ( innocently)

Na: yaa baby.

Aar: I will get mother ( teary eyes)

Na: yaa baby. ND I will get a cute little boy. ( teary eyes cupping his face)

Aar: maa( hugging nandani crying)

Nandani consoled him. Abeer was smiling. He was also happy, he got a brother to play with him.
