[26] TF
"Shh! He's coming" Drishti whispered to Romi as she saw Rakshit approaching. Opening the blanket to its maximum stretch limit she signaled Romi from the other side to get his bat ready.
"One, two and- attack!" She mouthed.
Within seconds the blanket was thrown on Rakshit's head and Drishti jumped on him to hold the blanket in its place as Romi attacked him with his plastic bat.
"Ah! Help! Thieves" Rakshit yelled, trying to move but the blanket was held around him so tightly by Drishti that he couldn't get rid of it. "Help! Mrs. Shergill! Romi! Dadi!"
He yelled as the bat hit his ass hard enough to make him scream. Little did he know that the people he was shouting out to for help were the ones behind it. Except dadi and her sister was sleeping and didn't know what was going on.
"Throw him away" Romi whispered to Drishti as she held the blanket tightly and threw him away like a sac of potatoes.
"Run!" She whisper yelled to Romi and thus they held hands and started running to safety as Rakshit removed the blanket from his face, baffled.
"Ah ha! It was you!" He yelled as he saw Romi and Drishti turning around the corner and sprinted forward to catch them.
His hairs were a mess and one side of his shirt sleeve was torn due to Drishti's cannibal like behavior. Poor fellow just wanted to go to the kitchen and have a glass of juice.
For some things you need to pay a higher price.
Why was he understanding all the meanings now?
He chased them through the hallways till the dead end from where there were no signs of escaping. They gulped seeing him in front of them and rolling his sleeves up while walking towards him with a deadly stare.
"He's coming for you" she said to Romi.
"No ways! For you"
"I'm his wife. Do you think he will beat me? No! Obviously" she said, unsure of it herself.
"He doesn't even talk to me, I don't evem talk to him. You think its me? Never" nice way of consoling himself.
As Rakshit was just a few steps from them they curled in a corner and held each other tightly like he was some kinf of killed sent to finish them.
"Mr. Shergill I'm your wife! This is domestic violence!"
"And I'm your brother. This too is domestic violence!"
They yelled together as Rakshit grabbed their shoulders and pulled them up, shaking them as they started begging for their dear lives.
"Why?" The only question he asked.
Can't a man drink juice in peace in his own house?
Was that too much to ask?
Were a few minutes of peace that costly?
"It was his idea!" She pointed at Romi whose face looked horrified.
"But she was the one who approved!" He pointed at her as Rakshit held their respective collars in his hands and shook them slowly.
"I just wanted to drink some juice" he sighed and pinned them on the nearby wall, holding their necks and pressing them slowly. "Just drink some juice"
The look on his face and they feared for their life.
Half and hour had passed. Rakshit was seen sitting on the couch and drinking juice as Romi massaged his feet and Drishti massaged his shoulders. Their helpless faces were worth watching.
"Do it with love Drishti, my shoudlers will hurt"
"Yes, my highness" she bowed dramatically before doing it the way he liked.
Romi was cursing his fate as he pressed Rakshit's feet, not that he had never done it before, he had always did it but when Rakshit was in deep sleep. But this time he was forced to do it and poor he didn't even do anything-
according to him
"How are his feet?" Drishti giggled at Romi, akso knowing that it was a great time to take the next step.
"This is all your fault. Oh my husband doesn't love me let's throw him in a pond Romi!" He mimicked her
"Oh excuse me! That was your idea! Why are you blaming it all on me?"
"As if you care! You got the shoulders and I'm stuck at his feet. Agrh! This is disgusting!"
"Come on!" She sighed "As if you have never done it before"
Romi's body tensed as he heard her say that. Rakshit looked at Drishti in confusion and also noticed Romi's weird movements of discomfort as she said that.
"What?" Rakshit asked.
"Nothing, she's just nuts" Romi said to cover up.
"Oh come on! I've seen you thrice. You message his legs and feet when I am gone for some work! Or you think I am at work"
"Stop lying!" Said Romi
"I ain't lying! Now you'll say that you don't even make coffee for him daily and keep his vitamin capsules in his room before he comes, say its a lie!" She said in such a way to make it appear that she wasn't doing it on purpose but saying it all like she was arguing with Romi.
Rakshit sat calmly. No movements came from his side as Romi and Drishti argued before Romi went out of the room in anger.
Rakshit was shocked hearing to the words and the way Romi acted, he truly believed it was true. But he was still in a shock.
His Rom, his baby brother still respected him despite every thing he did, despite being absent from his life when he needed him and despite all the rivilary they had.
Drishti smiled as Romi left and then looked at Rakshit who was deep in thoughts. Taking his hand in hers she lead him towards the bed and asked him to lay down which he did without an argument. After locking the door she climbed on the bed and shut the curtains before lying next to him hugging him for some time.
"He loves you" she whispered in his ears before kissing his cheek and turning to the other side to sleep.
Rakshit released the breath he had been holding for a few seconds and turned to the opposite side.
Does he really still love me? He thought as tears fell down his eyes too.
