If anyone said that Drishti would not stop calling Rakshit, this time the person was wrong. She did stop calling him because he was busy and she too was preoccupied with shoots and trying to befriend Romi.

Rakshit looked at his phone's screen and sighed.

99+ texts. Most of them were two word texts like miss you, come soon, work properly, you ate?, I'm so lovely etc while others were gossips regarding her work and her new male costar who knew nothing about acting.

- that annoying jerk! Then I told him- please! I have handled far more irritating and egoistic people. Take my Mr. Shergillfor instance.

The smile at my Mr. Shergill however soon faded once he realized he wasn't actually praised.

He sent it.

Just as he was about to keep the phone aisde it pinged with three texts. He looked at the screen and as expected read the name.

'Mrs. Dumb Shergill👻'

-Whenever free call me
-you up? Or being Mr. Sleepy Shergill?

"And this girl never stops" he smiled before calling her.

On the other hand his number displayed on her screen as she sat on the kitchen's counter and talked to Romi and dadi regarding the shoot today.

In these three days Romi and Drishti had been talking a lot. Divya was busy at her movie shoot but Drishti had just a few photo sessions that ended pretty early so Romi had time to talk to her.

"Your phone is ringing Drishti" Romi saw her phone vibrating and took it in his hands. Seeing the caller id, he smiled.

'Mr. Shergill🤡'

"Oh, thank you" taking the phone from his hands she screamed seeing his name scaring dadi and sitting on the counter at once.

What happened?- she asked Romi through her eyes to which he mouthed Rakshit. Both of smiled as she yelled 'Rakshit!' So loudly and later looked embarrassed when saw them watching her.

After mouthing a sorry to them she moved her legs back and forth while smiling as she held the phone close to her ears.

"I miss you! Tell me you miss me too"

"You want me to lie?" He smiled on the other side of the phone.

"Huh, anyways. You know what happened today!" Even if he knew what happened today because of the 99+ texts today, he asked her what happened and listened to all her sweet talks with a patient face that displayed his peace of mind and of heart. "And I was like- woah! Hold that attitude Mister! I know how to handle people like you, I have my very own trainer who have taught me enough, by the way that's you"

"Are you seriously talking about me behind my back?"

"No! On your face" she laughed.

Her laugh was something he never got tired of hearing. Holding the frame of them close to his heart he laid back in the bed and heard her telling him how he should take care of himself.

Mrs. Mommy Shergill has risen

"Eat your food on time okay? I don't want you to come home malnourished. Oh oops! I forgot" slapping her forehead she got crossed her legs on the counter and asked him "When are you coming"

He could hear the longing in her voice. Not that he didn't feel it himself but hers was something that gave him a different level of anxiety.

He wanted to be near her.

"In two days"

"Two days!" She yelled in happiness and jumped off the counter. "Are you serious?"

"Yes I am" he laughed because he knew how she would have reacted to the news of his early arrival.

"Oh my god I love you for this! I'm gonna make all your favorites that day! I will buy you ice cream, we will watch a movie together and, and- um- yes! One day without the bed curtains being closed! Your redemption!"

"Oh my god, all that for me? I'm touched" he said dramatically.

"Touched? Who the hell touched you? Is it a guy? Or a girl? Name the person and I will rip her hands off!" She exclaimed.

"You're so dumb" he laughed "I mean I am touched by your actions"

"Ohhhh" keeping her forefinger on her lips she sat on a stool and kept her head on the middle counter. "You must be sleepy na? You've been working all day"

"Yeah but not that much" not gonna lie, he wanted to talk to her as long as he could.

"No! You need rest. I don't want a dark circled Rakshit Shergill near me. I have my self respect. People will say I don't let you sleep" she moved at her place and smiled as he started explaining her that he didn't need any rest. "Nopes! You are sleeping and that's final. Good night Mr. Shergill! Don't forget my chocolates"

"That's not fair" he sighed "but good night" he looked at the picture in his handa and placed a gentle kiss on it "Mrs. Shergill"

"Oh wait!!!" She yelled when he was about to hang up "You want to say anything to dadi! She is standing behind me"

Drishti had completely forgotten that dadi and Romi were in the kitchen too and remembered it when she turned away and found them smiling at her.

"Um, good night dadi?" He truly didn't know what to say.

"Tell her you love her, stupid! Oh god! Do I have to teach you everything including general manners?"

"Ok fine! No need of being my mom. Huh, I love you dadi. Good night, sweet dreams, take care. Etc etc. Happy?"

"Completely" nodding her head she signaled dadi a thumbs up and dadi went towards her bedroom. "Oh and Rakhsit" she whispered politely.

"Yeah" he spoke in a same tone.

"Romi is here too. You want to say something to him? The phone is on speaker" Romi's body tensed as she said the words. Even if it was never good between the brothers he waited for Rakshit's response despite knowing that it was hopeless.

"Rakshit?" She whispered softly.

The next moment the call was disconnected which made both Romi and Drishti feel bad. Well, Romi saw it coming so he was prepared but Drishti wasn't.

"I'm sorry" she said to him.

"Its okay" he smiled at her while handing her a glass of juice.

"He's not that bad. Seriously" Romi knew that too "He's just" looking around herself she signaled him to come closer ans as he did that she whispered "shy"

"Ohhh!" Romi exclaimed. Shy and Rakshit, that lucky bastard got such a caring wife. He smiled at his sister covering up for his brother.

"But he loves you!" She exclaimed lovingly.

"Yeah, sure he does" the words said this but the tossing of his eyes said something else. He didn't believe her on this love thing.

"No seriously! Otherwise why would he lose three of his most important deals to you intentionally and break one of his best friend's nose for you" she said watching him go.

Romi stopped in his tracks and looked back at her. Amazement written all over his face. "He did what?"

"You don't know?" She acted. "He did so many things for you"

And with that she began telling him everything she got information about from her resources.

"Um, I need to go" he excused himself and left without noticing the smile that came to Drishti's face.

He loves me? Romi thought to himself as tears fell down his eyes.
