Drishti's feelings for Rakshit were increasing ever day and her attempts to make everything right between the brothers were into action.
Forgetting that she was an actress and should be working on photoshoots and stuff, she told her manager that she needed a short term break from everything.
Rohan didn't agree to this but agreed when she made fake health issues.
She looked through their photo albums, talked to dadi about their relationship and tried knowing about their childhood bond.
"I just hope they get back together" dadi smiled as she caressed Drishti's head in her lap.
"Don't worry dadi. We will bring them back. They love each other already, just need to confess it" she yawned and slept in dadi's lap.
Dadi was beyond happy seeing her grand daughter in law's attempts. Not knowing that the sisters weren't any better than the brothers, she thanked god for sending the right girls in her house.
In these days Drishti had known so many secrets about the on and off bond between the brothers.
As she talked with Vinay- Rakshit's manager, he came to know that Rakshit intentionally lost three of his most important deals so that Romi could get them. Even if Rakshit tried his best to show that he lost because of some factors, Vinay saw the pattern because those were the same kind of meetings which were Romi's weakness and Rakshit's strength.
The other day when she wasn't home according to the family, she came home late. As soon as she reached her house and stood at the door of her room, she was rooted to her place seeing Romi sitting beside Rakshit and massaging his feet that Rakshit was complaining about the whole day. Before leaving he held Rakshit's hand and placed his head on it, kissing it and leaving the room. She hid at that moment so that he couldn't see her.
On talking to Romi's friends they mentioned his anger if anyone other than him said anything bad about his brother. Same went with Rakshit.
As dadi came to know about this she felt the hope of happiness coming towards their family.
Everything was going to be okay.
She had a plan for it that she would be executing in the coming days.
Meanwhile her feelings were becoming something hard for her to control. Her friends just suggested stupid things which she would have done if Rakshit was any normal guy who would straightforwardly reply to any of her questions or even try to act with the manners of basic civility.
"When are you coming?" She held the pillow closer to her chest and waited for him to come, forgetting that she had just again due to her sister's behavior towards her.
He made her forget all that about her sister and she absolutely loved it.
"Come soon" she texted him with ten different colored heart emojis.
On the other side of the screen he laughed seeing the emojis through the notifications but didn't open it. He could pretend to be ignoring her texts but could he even pretend to ignore her calls?
Her name displayed on his phone's caller id-
Mrs. Dumb Shergill
"Hello! You didn't reply to my text? Don't you have manners!" Yeah, the text that she sent a minute ago.
"Come to the point. Do you want something?"
"You! I want you! Come home in seven minutes thirty eight seconds or get prepared to sleep with the dogs on the street!" She yelled over the phone.
A smile formed on his lips at the weird time she gave him. As he parked his car in front of the house, he got out removing his coat and holding it on his lower arm. Throwing the keys to the gatekeeper he entered the house and saw her strolling back and forth in the lobby.
"Don't you know you have people at home waiting for you! I want you here now! Right now! Or else bring the divorce papers with you!"
He knew she spoke anything that came to her mouth. This mention of divorce would have seemed weird to some poeple but they knew they were just joking and nothing more.
It never hurt any of their feelings because they knew they wouldn't ever separate.
"Don't order me. Rakshit Shergill never listens to anyone but himself!" He spoke back and cut the call.
"How dare he!" She cried as she looked at the phone with her mouth opened in amazement and looked at dadi. "Dadi did you see that? He just cut my call! How could he?"
Dadi sighed before fake consoling her saying that everything will be good. Seeing the two actresses Rakshit kept his hand on his head and sighed as he heard them talk.
"My son is a donkey, he doesn't know what he is missing. Such a loving wife but he is ignorant. Oh my poor soul, my Drishu" she patted Drishti's head. She sounded dead serious that moment.
"Obviously dadi, he is so rude that I can't even explain it to you. I don't have the words to! He doesn't love me, he just passes me weird angry looks and yells at me sometimes" nowadays she added his stopping her from doing stupid stuff in yelling too.
"Let that dog come, I will teach him a lesson for troubling my daughter"
"Yes dadi, do it or else I will trouble him to the extent that he cries. He's stupid" she exclaimed.
"Oh! So I am stupid?" Both the ladies looked at the door where Rakshit was standing calmly with his coat tucked under his arm.
"Rakshit! You came!" Drishti yelled and ran towards him.
"Stay where you are!" He showed him his hand and she stopped ten feet away from him, her arms still open like they were when she ran towards him. "I don't want to talk to you"
"Son-"
"Even to you dadi. So this is what you mother and daughter do behind my back? Talk about me like this? Woah, I never expected it"
Crossing his arms across his chest he looked at Drishti "Explain yourself"
"I didn't know you were there. I swear if I had known we would have talked in the room and not here, openly like this" the nerves of his wife. "You came!" And she never forgot that.
"Didn't I tell you to stay back" he said as Drishti ran towards him and jumped inyo his arms. "Ah, dumb girl" he murmured wrapping his hands around her waist and lifting her off the ground.
Walking towards dadi in that pose he looked at her and then pointed at his wife in his wife by nose "I have to go dadi, she's not leaving me and you know that too"
Dadi laughed seeing Drishti happily hugging Rakshit while Rakshit being annoyed listening to their talks about him.
"You came!"
"Shut the hell up, you've said this for the third time now" he told her as he walked towards their room.
Dadi smiled seeing his grandson happy like that and prayed everything would be more beautiful in a few days. Drishti was indeed a blessing.
"Oh my god Rakshit! You're finally home" she wrapped her legs around his waist as he entered the room with his wife clinging to him like a baby monkey clinged to his mother.
"Mm hm. Did you expect me to go somewhere else?" He sat on the bed whose curtains were open at the moment. Rubbing a super excited Drishti's back he also felt the warmth and love of the person whose excitement never decreased seeing him home.
"I missed you!" She giggled holding his collar and kissing his cheeks.
"Its been a few hours Mrs. Shergill" he laughed feeling her kiss on his cheek and held her closer.
A few moments later when they were sleeping on their sides, Drishti assumed that he was sleeping and kept her hand on his cheek. Scooting over a little closer to him she kept her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
"You're so beautiful" the sound of her slow and muffled giggling hit his ears as he was still awake.
"But you talk a lot" i talk a lot? He thought.
"I love you" she whispered in his ears and slept, not knowing that she had stopped his heart beat for that second those words escaped her mouth.
