Kohli Mansion

Ranbir would be joining office the next day had been spending time with Prachi and making most of his free time. He wanted to play with his daughter but she was too young to understand anything and his hand hadn't recovered yet so he had decided to hold his daughter only when his hand recovers properly.

He had gone to Kohli Mansion for some work and was on his way to Mehra Mansion when he bangs into a small girl.

Ranbir: ouch

Aani: sorry (and she looks up only to see her Bir after days)

Last time she had seen him, he was drenched with blood.

Ranbir had recognized her. Her features resembled Sid.

He immediately bent down and soon as he bent, she hugged him tightly

Aanya: Bir, I missed you

Ranbir: (he didn't know what to say and how to react, he didn't remember anything related to her, what he remembered was seeing Aanya as a newborn) I missed you too (He had realized that she loved him a lot and that they did share a good bond)

They broke the hug.

Aanya: (touched his bandage on the forehead) Does this pain, Bir??

Ranbir: sometimes (smiles)

Aanya: When I saw you last, your face had blood on it

Ranbir: (curiously) how do you know?

Aanya: (confused) Bir, you had taken peach and me out to eat ice-cream

Ranbir: peach?

Aanya: How can you forget Bir...Prachi

Ranbir: ohhh...ya, I remember (pretending to remember)

Aanya: Bir, Sid was saying that I have a sister now.....I want to meet

Ranbir: come, I'll take you (smiles)

Khanna Mansion

The four of them had gathered for dinner on the dining table.

Purab: I spoke to Abhi regarding aryan and Shahana's wedding, he said that for now they want shahana to stay with them...and when everything falls in place...shahana will move in with Aryan.

Disha: Aryan, I'm sure that there is something you are hiding

Aryan: No mom, you have probably mistaken

Disha: Really?....I know you in and out, Aryan and I also know shahana....she would never marry you without informing her parents

Sunny realized that aryan didn't want to talk about it anytime soon and needed some space

Sunny: Mom, I think we should give them some time...let them sort it out on their own

Disha always approved to what sunny said and she immediately agreed to him this time as well.

Mehra Mansion

Shahana's room

Shahana had been thinking about all the things that happened in the past 2 days.

Thinking about it, she began started shivering, the A.C. was off and even the fan.

The way she was going to leave with Ranbir and Prachi to eat ice-cream when she got a message from an unknown number and she left for the address which was sent by that number.

On reaching, she realized that it was a market area and probably someone was pranking her.

She was about to leave when someone started knocking her car's window pane.

She lowered the window glass

Shahana: Rohan, what are you doing here?

Rohan: I need to talk to you

Shahana: okay, come in

She got distracted as someone was knocking her room's door.

That knock was similar to that same knock.

Now she was sweating.

She didn't want to open the door, but she had no choice.

Prachi's room

Ranbir and Aanya entered Prachi's room.

All the rooms were big and so was Prachi's.

When they entered, they didn't find Prachi who was apparently in the closet while their girl had been sleeping in the cradle which was next to the bed.

Aanya ran towards the cradle while Ranbir sat on the bed looking at them in awe.

Aanya had seen her friend's having siblings and also wanted a sibling with whom she can play just like her friends.

Aanya: Bir, when will she grow big..just like me?

Ranbir: (laughs) soon Aanya...little more time...and then later she will be able to play with you

Aanya continued looking at the baby when Rhea and Sid entered

Rhea: Here you are (to aani)...your dad has been looking for you in the entire house

Sid: Aani, what are you doing here?

Aani: come here..(she pulls Sid towards the cradle) look at her...she is so pretty na?

Sid: Yes..aani just like you

Aani: but I'm a big girl and she is still small

Sid: I meant that when you were small just like her...even you looked pretty

Rhea: what are you trying to say...that she isn't pretty now? (Laughs)

Sid: Rhea!! I mean...

Aani: (made a cute face) I'm not pretty?

Sid pulled Aani towards him

Sid: Pretty? You are a princess...my princess

And sid began tickling her.

Both father-daughter duo laughed hard while Rhea watched them enjoy.

Rhea knew that this is what she always wanted, she loved Sid and he was finally hers' and she had been now growing close with Aanya as well.

Rhea: shooo....she is sleeping....let's go out

And the three of them leave

All this while Ranbir had been leaning on the closet door watching the three of them enjoy their heart out.

He had never seen his brother so happy, he could see that twinkle in his brother's eyes, his brother had finally got what he wanted.

He realized that Prachi was still in the closet so he went to see what she had been doing all this while.

When Ranbir entered in, he saw that all her clothes were thrown here and there

Ranbir: Prachi, what is this? Why...

Prachi interrupted: I'm joining office tomorrow and I cannot find anything appropriate to wear

Ranbir: Let me search....you have so many outfits...wait

Prachi: I do have but they don't fit me anymore

Saying this she sits on the table right in the middle resting her face in her hands

Ranbir goes through her closet finding appropriate office wear

Ranbir: Here you go, you do have so many

Prachi: I know that, but they don't fit me anymore

Ranbir: how?

Prachi who had again dug her face in her hands looked up

Prachi: (frustrated) How?......I gave birth to your daughter....that's HOW

Ranbir: You still look the same Prachi....did you try wearing them

Prachi: No...but they won't fit

Ranbir: (hands over an outfit to her) try this

Prachi: it won't fit Ranbir....i know my body

Ranbir: okay...so now what?

Prachi: I need to get new ones

Ranbir: let's go

Prachi: what? Now?

Ranbir: Yes...stores must be open

Prachi: We just can't leave and we can also...

Ranbir interrupts: I know our baby isn't alone, she has a nanny and (prachi was going to interrupt) and yes ... I know you can order but let's go and buy...I need some "we time"

Prachi looks at him and smiles while he pulls her in for a tight hug.

Prachi: I love you

Shahana's room

A terrified Shahana opened the door.

Shahana: maa!!

Pragya: (hands over her a bag) This is your outfit....you have a post wedding ritual tomorrow...wake up early and yes I want you to look like a newly wedded bride, unlike today.

Tensed Shahana nods

Pragya: goodnight (she was about to turn when Pragya questioned her showing no concern in her voice) are you okay?

Shahana: Yes maa (fake smile)

And Pragya leaves

Shahana kept the bag on her bed and sat.

Shahana's POV

Maa isn't talking to me properly or may be I'm overthinking.

No!! I'm not overthinking.

She isn't happy with me.

 She would talk to me like this before, when I was newly brought over her, after they had  legally adopted me.

It took a lot of time for her to adjust around me after all I was her step-daughter. She loved me later, treated me equally but now it feels as if she doesn't care about me anymore. It is back to what it was before.

Why does all this happen with me?

Why do I have to suffer everytime?

Why do people betray me?

First my mom, then my dad and then Him.

I trusted them, and what they did in return was something I never wanted.
