Next day

Ranbir's POV

Prachi and I had been waiting for her arrival desperately.

In order to keep us busy, aryan had been talking us through some office work...he was successful in diverting Prachi's mind but not mine.

My eyes were fixed on the door, I looked at Shahana who was also looking at me as well and then we looked at Prachi and Aryan who were now busy.

"She is coming, Ranbir", shahana said

All of a sudden, the door opened, the nurses had got the incubator along with them.

I stood, I could feel the pain in my right leg but the excitement and happiness of seeing her was nothing compared to the pain.

I would finally get to hold her, I wanted to jump but I couldn't thanks to my legs.

I looked at Prachi who was also excited.

The nurse held our "joy" and gave her in Prachi's arms while the other nurse helped her in holding.

I could see that Prachi was feeling something beyond one could imagine.

While both my girls enjoyed their moment together, I saw a hand kept on my shoulder, it was aryan.

He was happy as well

"What is she going to call me?", questioned aryan

"Before that we need to name her", and excited shahana now spoke

I laughed

why did I laugh?

Was it funny?

Maybe my excitement it is

"Thought of any name?", shahana asked curiously

I gave her an I don't know look.

Prachi then handed the little one to me.

I was nervous.

I never held any newborn before, I told Prachi that.

She just smiled at me as if I knew it and she was right.

I knew how to hold her, I held her properly.

As I held her gently, I felt a chill running through my spine. This feeling was surreal. She had this small cute smile on her face while her eyes were half closed. She was small.

I will protect her. Always.

Ranbir's POV ends

The doctor has given them a discharge and now they were going to leave for home.

Kohli Mansion

Pallavi and Vikram were the happiest.

Ranbir and Prachi along with their girl enter.

Everyone was present.

It had been a double or maybe a triple celebration for everyone as mishti and sunny and siddharth and Rhea were getting married and it was the arrival of Prachi and Ranbir's babygirl.

It was more like a brunch.

Pragya was playing with the newborn. While Prachi and Ranbir were eating.

Prachi and Ranbir were still recovering.

Ranbir was having difficulty in walking and he would be told about things that he didn't remember by someone or the other. He was coping up and he had been kept busy which made him think less about his accident. It didn't make much difference to everyone around him and they all took his memory loss in a positive way especially Prachi.

The Kohli's except Ranbir and Sid didn't know about Aryan and shahana getting married.

Shahana had been sitting along with Prachi and wasn't wearing vermillion and her mangalsutra. She hadn't spoken to Aryan since morning, aryan was with talking to sunny regarding business.

Their parents also decided to not talk about it for now although they were aware of what Pragya had told the couple and even agreed to her.

Abhi: Did you both decide a name?

Prachi and Ranbir looked at each other

Prachi: not yet, dad

Pallavi: I was thinking of keeping the naming ceremony next month, by that time Prachi and Ranbir, both will recover and we can also keep the engagement of the 2 couples the next day.

Pragya: that's a good idea

And all of them agreed to it

Pragya pulled Shahana to a corner

Pragya: Why aren't you not wearing vermillion and mangalsutra?

Shahana: uhmm actually I wasn't comfortable wearing it

Pragya: Shahana you are married now

And Pragya walks away leaving a tensed Shahana behind

After they all were done, they left for their respective work.

Mehra Mansion

Abhigya's room

Abhi and Pragya were having their time when shahana knocked the door.

Abhi: come in na, baccha

Pragya was still pissed with her

Shahana: actually mom, dad....uhmm....I don't want to go to Khanna Mansion...please

Pragya: what do you mean? You got married to him

Abhi: (looks at pragya) Pragya!!....let me talk

Abhi: And may I know a reason

Shahana: please...please trust me....by next month...I'll leave

Abhi: shahana this is your house, you can stay as long as you want to,okay?... I'll talk to disha and Purab

Shahana: thank you dad

And she leaves.

The entire time she couldn't look into their eyes and speak and that was one of the reasons why Abhi agreed to her, he knew that there was something which they didn't know.

Pragya: why did you agree to her?

Abhi: Pragya, just trust me

Pragya leaves

Kohli Mansion

Pranbir's room

Their girl was sleeping while Ranbir was trying to adjust to the environment.

Prachi realized that Ranbir wouldn't be able to handle all of this, there was business, their daughter, progress in their relationship, his business projects and many things.

He had to get back to work as well and even she had to, for how long would she keep her position on hold.

Prachi: Ranbir (she makes him sit on the bed along with her) I was thinking of joining office by this week

Ranbir: Okay....you don't have to tell this

Prachi: that's not the thing....actually I was thinking of shifting back to Mehra Mansion

Ranbir: why?

Prachi: for sometime....I'll have maa there, and at this point I think I need her

Ranbir: okay...but my mom can help you as well

Prachi: yes Ranbir, she is anyways there but I'll join office and I won't be at home, over here there is Aani, although she has a nanny, and even we will hire a nanny and that's fine but mom takes care of everything and I don't want to give her more stress...I hope you are getting what I'm trying to say

Ranbir: yes, I understand....do what you think is right

Prachi smiles

Prachi: and even you will get time to adjust

Ranbir hugs her tightly

Prachi: I know you need space

Ranbir: thank you

They hug each other tight

Ranbir: by the way....we need a name

Prachi: yess

Both of them talk to Pallavi about it who seem to be fine with, that evening she returns to Mehra Mansion along with their daughter.

Prachi's room

Prachi had been setting up all her clothes when Rhea and shahana enter

Rhea: Prachi!

Prachi: hey!....Congratulations....I heard you are getting married

Rhea: yess....we will be in the same house....by the way should congratulate shahana as well

Prachi: (looks at shahana who had a fake smile on her face) why?

Rhea: she got married

Prachi: (shock) what? When?

Rhea: 2 days back

Prachi: big question...to whom?

Rhea: Aryan!!

Shahana didn't utter a word, she was having that same fake smile on her face.

Prachi had realized that something was wrong and thought to ask Shahana about it later.
