Author's POV
(Happy New Year everyone)

"And now comes the most awaited moment of tonight, the announcement of the CEO of the year." a beautiful woman chirped excitedly from the announcer's place.

"And the CEO of the year goes to...." she took a pause to create suspense.

The whole hall was filled murmuring of anticipation. Almost every CEO present there was expecting their name to be announced.

While some of them were sure that this time also, Mr Kim Nam Yeong would receive it.

Kim Nam Yeong. One of the most influential businessman in Korea. Almost every citizen of the country knows him. He is the CEO of the KNY tech and also the chairman of the Kim group of companies.

Another candidate was none other than Kim Namjoon, the CEO of NJ cultural foundation and the elder son of Nam Yeong.

The father-son duo were a strong candidate of the award.

"Kim Taehyung of K.T.H Designs " the woman announces. Gasps of shocks filled the hall. All of them were so involved in choosing between the father-son duo that they overlooked another Kim, none other than Kim Taehyung, Nam Yeong youngest son.

While the others were shocked the said male however didn't showed an ounce of emotions. He just stood and walked towards the stage with a satisfied small grin.

"I would like to thank all the employees, workers, and all the staff members for working hard so we can win this award. " he stated after receiving the awards. "I hope this isn't the last time we have achieved it " he said with a chuckle and ended his speech with a small 'Fighting '

When he sat down back on his place, some of his employees and the closest thing to friends he ever had came rushing towards him with an excited smile.

"Congratulations Taehyung!! " the shortest one chirped.

"Calm down Jimin or the whole hall would know how excited you are" the long-haired male said.

The said male just rolled his eyes.

"congratulations Taehyung " another voice came from behind. "Thanks Jisoo but it won't be possible without your help. " Taehyung replied.

Hong Jisoo or Joshua Hong. He was not an employee or a worker but co-founder of Kth Designs. Both him and Taehyung had worked hard for the well being of the company however but Joshua denied all the limelight and chose to stay behind it.

"Also, I saw you almost smile " a woman with fox-like eyes stated.

"Though it was just a grin but it was beautiful, you know, you should smile often " she added. "I don't often see any reason of smiling " Taehyung replied. "Us winning this award was definitely worth a smile wasn't it? " he added and the others nodded

"Anyways, so to celebrate our victory, tomorrow the lunch is on me " announced Joshua.

The next day

Taehyung walked to office with his bodyguards and manager on both sides. He was then suddenly approached by few elderly men, one of whom looked like a lawyer.

"Good morning mr Kim " said one of them whom Taehyung recognised as Mr Lim, a renowned businessman.

"What's the matter, Mr lim" Taehyung asked, straight forwardly.

"Going straight to the point, I see " he replied. "Anyways, the matter is that last night when you were announced as the CEO of the year, me and some other CEOs and chairmen were not quite convinced by the results " he stated which irked Taehyung, completely. However he tried to keep his calm.

"So, for our satisfaction, we would like to investigate your win that it's organic and not a fraud " he informed.

Taehyung let go of all his calm and with gritted teeth he uttered "Just because your favoured businessman Nam Yeong or his perfect and smart firstborn Kim Namjoon didn't won that doesn't mean I have done any kind of fraud. You know you should grow up and except the fact that anyone other than those two can also win this award. "

"Well, if you are so sure that your company didn't bought the award then why don't you let us do the investigation " another businessman whom Taehyung don't remember piped in.

Taehyung didn't replied anything, he just left from there.

Once he entered his cabin, he regretted coming to the office. There sat no one other, the perfect person for becoming the heir of the Kim Group of companies, (according to the other businessmen) Kim Namjoon.

"Why are you here? " asked Tae in an irritated tone.

"Came to congratulate you winning the CEO of the year " he stated. "I don't want any congratulations from you. What I want from you is to leave this building now " Taehyung retorted, voice filled with hatred. "Taehyung why are talking so harsly to me, I am your brot-" "Brother? Are you really one? Huh? " Taehyung cut him off. "Because we both know that the man, everyone thinks is my father, is the only person who had ordered all the other influential CEOs to hire a lawyer and investigate my win and the one who addresses himself as my brother is also the only one who didn't even objected his decision once " he said.

"I am sorry Tae, but both of us know that I never intended to do anything which would distance me from my younger brother. " Namjoon said in a genuine tone.

"But I don't have any other options than following his orders " he reasoned.

Taehyung knew it was true, but he was too angry to acknowledge it so he just requested the older leave to which the latter agreed reluctantly.

Somewhere else in the city

Beep...beep...beep

The alarm kept on ringing

"GOD! JUNGKOOKIE WHEN WILL YOU GET UP?? " a short ravenette male shouted at the top of his lungs while barging inside the room.

The person asleep soundly jolted awake and saw the time.

"shit " he muttered under his breath.

He ran to the washroom, did his morning ritual in the speed of a cheetah.

He took his bag, ran downstairs. Took a sandwich piece, bid goodbye to his roommate and left the apartment. He was almost late for his interview and now he can't even find a taxi, guess he would be late for it.

"Gosh jungkook you stupid! Did you forgot that you got a chance in such a big company so easily only because of your Jimin hyung and you're being so careless about it. " the boy named Jungkook thought but fortunately he found a taxi. "Take me Kth designs please " he hurriedly instructed sitting inside the cab.
