Yuna POV

They gave us a day off school after the USJ attack. My parents were pretty much interrogating me the entire day.

"This is another reason why I told you not to become a hero, Misa," my dad said. I ignored him and instead went to my room till dinner. During dinner, I was silent I couldn't say a thing about how I handled myself because they wouldn't even let me finish my story. After dinner, I went to bed and couldn't wait to go back to school.

Back to School

"So your mom followed you all the way here," Satsuki asked after I explained what happened this morning.

"Yeah, I bet they're going to do that for a while," I said

"Attention! Homeroom class is about to begin. Everyone stop talking and take your seats!" Ida yelled

"Uhh, you're the only one talking and standing, Ida," I said

"Dang it," he said as he sat down

"Don't worry, Ida," Satsuki said as she turned around to look at him

"Yeah, don't sweat it," Ururaka assured

"Hey, Tsu, who do you think is going to teach class today?" Ashido asked

"No idea, Mr. Aizawa is still in the hospital recovering," Tsu answered

As if on cue, someone opened the door and wouldn't you know.

"Good morning, class," Mr. Aizawa said

"Mr. Aizawa, what are you doing, here?" we all said

"That's what I call dedication," I said

"Are you okay?" Satsuki asked

"My well-being is irrelevant. What's more important is that your fight isn't over yet," Mr. Aizawa said, "The UA Sports Festival is about to start."

"Sports Festival!" we said excitedly

"YES!" I yelled

"Wait a second," Kaminari said

"Is it really a good idea to hold the Sports Festival after the villains snuck inside?" Jiro asked

'Way to ruin the moment,' I thought

"They could attack once we're all in the same place," Ojiro said

"Apparently, the administration believes this is a good way to show that the threat has been handled and our school is safer than ever. Plus, they're beefing up security compared to past years. This event is an opportunity for all students at UA it's not something we can cancel because of a few villains." Mr. Aizawa explained, "Our Sports Festival is one of the most-watched events in the entire world. In the past, everyone obsessed over the Olympic games but then Quirks started appearing. Now the Olympics have been drastically reduced in terms of scale and viewership. For anyone who cares about competition, there's only one tournament that matters the UA Sports Festival."

"That's right and top heroes everywhere will be watching," Yoayorozu said

"This is where you get scouted," Satsuki said

"It's true after graduation some people join hero agency's and become sidekicks," Kaminari said

"It's true that joining a famous hero agency can garter you more experience and popularity. That's why the festival matters. If you wanna go pro one day then this event can open a path for you. One chance each year, three chances in a life-time, no aspiring hero can afford to miss this festival. That means you better not slack off on your training."

"Yes, sir" 

Lunch Time

We were in class all of us excited about the upcoming Sports Festival.

"Aw, man guys. I'm so nervous," I said

"Why are you nervous?" Todoroki asked

"Well because what if I make a fool of myself and don't get scouted?" I said

"That's no reason to worry. Remember we have three chances," Satsuki said

"Yeah, I guess," I said getting up from my seat.

"This is completely nuts. Everyone is so excited," Midoriya said

"Well yeah, of course, we are. We enrolled at this school with the sole aim of becoming heroes so naturally we're all fired up," Ida explained while doing a little dance.

'Let's tease him a little bit,' I thought with a slight smirk

"Hey, Ida cute dance. Right Satsuki?" I said

"Yeah, nice moves Ida," 

Ida's face got slightly red. 'Yes!' I thought.

"Aren't you excited Midoriya?" Satsuki asked

"Well yeah of course I am and also nervous," Midoriya answered

"Hey, let's do our best at the Sports Festival," Ururaka said while she was literally radiating energy.

"What happened to you? You're usually really chill," I asked

"Everyone I'm gonna do my best!" she said

"Right on, Ururaka!" Satsuki said while lifting a fist into the air. After all that, we finally began walking to the cafeteria. I was running down the stairs when I tripped on my shoe and almost fell down the stairs. Luckily, Todoroki was there and caught me before I fell.

Satsuki POV

It turns out I didn't notice that Yuna and Shoto left because I was engrossed in my drawing when Ida tapped my shoulder he surprised me and I almost slapped him in the face.

"Oh, sorry," I apologized

"It's okay, do you want to have lunch with us?" he asked. I nodded my head and joined Midoriya, Ida, and Ururaka. I brought my drawing with me so I could finish it during lunch.

"Hey, Ururaka?" Midoriya asked

"What's up?"

"Why did you decide to come to UA? What made you want to become a hero?" he asked

"Well, because of the money. I guess," she said

"For the money. You want to be a hero to get rich," Midoriya said while Ururaka rubbed the back of her neck.

"If we're cutting to the chase then yeah," she replied, "I'm sorry if it sounds greedy. You and Ida have such admirable motivations. I hope you don't think less of me now"

"Not at all, your goal is to support your well being and that is an admirable motivation to have," Ida said. 

"I would never think less of you," I reassured

"Mhm, it's just kind of surprising," Midoriya said

"Well, you see my family owns a construction company but we haven't gotten any work lately so we're flat broke. Anyway, this usually isn't something I tell other people but," Ururaka explained

"Construction, eh," Ida said

"If she got licensed I bet she could use her quirk to bring costs down a lot," Midoriya explained

"And they could sell their heavy lifting equipment,"

"She could float everything," I added

"I know right! I've been telling dad that since I was a kid, but... I'm going to become a pro I'll sign with a good agency and make plenty of money then I'll let my parents have an easier life," she said determination etched into her eyes and face.

"That's beautiful, bravo!" Ida exclaimed clapping

"I know you can do it, Ururaka," I said. Then from down the hall we heard laughing and it was none other than All Might.

"Young Midoriya is here!" All Might exclaimed. 

'Does he have to make a big entrance every time?' I thought

"Woah, All Might what're you doing here?" Midoriya asked

"Lunch. You want to eat with me?" he asked

"I gotta admit, that's adorable," Ururaka and I said. Midoriya looked at Ida. Ida nodded his head and Midoriya went to eat with All Might. On our way to the cafeteria, Ururaka asked me something,

"Uhh, Satsuki, can I ask you something?" she asked

"Yeah, of course, ask away," I said

"Why did you decide to come to UA and become a hero?"

"Um, well I didn't really decide," I answered looking away from her

"What do you mean?" Ida asked

"I didn't have much of a choice, even so, you know Todoroki is my brother well I've always been in his shadow. One day, I hope to finally step out of his shadow and become my own hero," I explained. They both looked at me for a bit until Ida put his hand on my shoulder.

"I believe you can accomplish your goal," he said with a smile. When we got to the cafeteria, we got in line to get our food.

"Satsuki! I'm so sorry we left you. Todoroki said that if we distracted you from whatever you were doing you wouldn't eat lunch," Yuna said,

"it's okay and is it fine if I eat lunch with Ururaka and Ida?" I asked. She looked at Ida then a small smirk crossed her lips and she answered,

"Of course," then left to go with Shoto.

'I don't like that face,' I thought. 

"I wonder what he wanted with, Deku," Ururaka said 

"I heard that when All Might was attacked by villains during the USJ incident Midoriya tried to stop them himself. Perhaps, that's what it's about,"

"Makes sense," I said

"Do you remember what Asui said on the bus?" Ida asked. I don't remember mostly because I was asleep.

"Since their Quirks are so similar to each other maybe All Might's taken a liking to him. How lucky?" he explained.

'All Might and Midoriya?' I thought. During the time when we were eating lunch, I was finishing my drawing when Ururaka looked over my shoulder.

"What are drawing?" she asked

"Oh, it's just our class nothing special," I replied

"What do you mean nothing special!? This is very impressive," Ida said. 

"You really think so? If you want it you can have it, Ida," I said with a smile

"Really?"

"Yeah, of course, think of it as a gift,". He looked at me with a surprised face then smiled.

End of the Day

School was over but we were trapped inside our class. There was a giant crowd of people outside our door.

"What are they doing here?" Yuna asked as everyone was asking the same thing.

"They're scouting out the competition, idiots," Bakugo said, "We're the class that survived a real villain attack. They want to see us with their own eyes. At least now you know what a future pro looks like. Now, move it extras,"

"You can't go around calling people, extras just because you don't know who they are," Ida said

"So this is Class 1-A. I heard you guys were impressive but you just sound like a jerk. Is everyone in the hero course delusional or just you?" a guy with indigo hair asked, "I'm sad to come here and find a bunch of egomaniacs. I wanted to be in the hero course, but like many others here I was forced to choose a different track such as life. I didn't cut it the first time but I have another chance. If any of us do well in the Sports Festival then the teachers can decide to transfer us to the Hero course and they'll have to transfer people out to make room."

"What!? That's how it is," Yuna gasped

"Scouting the competition maybe some of my peers are but I'm here to tell you that if you don't bring your very best then I'll steal your stop right from under you. Consider this a declaration of war." Indigo said

"HEY, YOU! I'M FROM CLASS 1-B NEXT DOOR TO YOUE. WE HEARD YOU FOUGHT SOME VILLAINS AND I CAME TO SEE IF THAT WAS TRUE, BUT YOU'RE JUST A BUNCH OF BRATS WHO THINK THEY'RE BETTER THAN US!!" someone in the hall yelled

"Everyone hates us," I said. Bakugo started leaving until Kirishima stopped him with words.

"Dude, where are you going? You gotta say something. It's your fault they're all hating on us Bakugo,"

"These people don't matter. The only thing that's important is that I beat them," Bakugo said then left the class

"I hate that it was such a manly exit," Kirishima said.

"Come one, we gotta go," Shoto told me.

"Right," I said following him, "Yuna you coming?"

"No, my dad is in the area so he's picking me up," she replied

Training

We had two weeks to prepare for the festival. 

"I win, again," Shoto said while helping me up.

"You always, win," I said grabbing his hand.

"You want to go again?" he asked. 

"Yeah, this time I'll win," I answered. I gave a little chuckle then we proceeded I made the first move. I ran up to him faked a punch for a kick he blocked it and went to punch me I ducked and punched him in the stomach.

"Ughh," Shoto grunted. I stood in a fighting position and planted my feet, closed my eyes and felt for Shoto's movements. I dodged every attack that he threw at me. When he went for another punch I ducked did the "Sweep the Leg". 

"I told you, I'd win," I said holding out my hand.

"You got better. How'd you predict my moves?" he asked

"I didn't I just dodged," I lied.

We did a couple more rounds and went back inside the house.
