Aria and Spencer were moving a box as all the girls were hanging out. "I was afraid she wouldn't get it done in time for the memorial" Aria said. "And this was someone from your mom's gallery" Hanna asked. "Right" Aria said, and Emily stood up.

"Where is your mom" Emily asked. "There's an apartment above the gallery so she's staying there for now" Aria said.

"Kind of weird isn't it" Hanna asked. "Your mom moving out" Hanna said. "Yeah, like my dad should have left that's what you'd expect" Aria said.

"Aria" Spencer said. "Hey, I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that whole thing just sucks" Aria said. "I know" Hanna said.

"Hey Ava, how are you settling In at Aria's" Emily asked. "Fine" Ava said. "I bet Mike is enjoying having his best friend around" Hanna said. "No kidding I barely have any girl time with her at the house" Aria said. 

"Did anyone call Shelly Leonard" Emily asked. "Done and I told her if she plays anything depressing, I will kick in her cello" Spencer said.

"Glad I'm not the only one" Ava said. "Oh, what about the program" Aria asked. "Almost done but we should finish it before Ali's brother gets here" Spencer said.

"Jason's coming" Ava asked and Spencer nodded. "When is that" Aria asked. "Tonight, and he wants to see us in the morning" Spencer said. 

"Okay you know what I barely remember Jason" Hanna said and stood up making her way to the girls. "We didn't know him he was just Ali's older brother down the hall" Aria said. 

"Behind the closed door" Spencer said. "With his hardcore punk music vibrating the floorboards" Emily said and they all laughed.

"How did he get into an Ivy League school" Aria asked. "I don't know it must have been affirmative action for goths and emos" Spencer said and they opened the box. They had all looked at the design. "It's beautiful" Hanna said.

"Pedestals already out there next to the bench this goes up Friday morning" Spencer said. "Ali would have loved it" Ava said.

"Do you think Jason would like it" Emily asked. "Of course, he'll like it" Hanna said.

"And years from now people are gonna see this memorial and, and that's all they'll ever know about Ali she'll be the girl that they dedicated the bench to, and we'll all be gone but Ali will still be remembered" Aria said. 

"That's immortality my darlings" Spencer said. "Where did she get that from a movie" Aria asked.

"Ali was a movie" Spencer said. "No lie there" Ava said and got a text and she looked to see a text from Mike. "I gotta go see you guys later" Ava said and left.

Ava, Aria, Emily, and Spencer all have met up with Jason in the early morning. "You've done a great job really mom and dad and I are really grateful" Jason said.

Hanna had walked in and saw Jason. "There she is" Jason said. "Jason uh hey" Hanna said and hugged him. "Sorry I'm late" Hanna said.

"No problem I was just saying you've done some lovely work on the memorial I might have done one or two things differently, but we can adjust that along the way here's a copy of the program for the dedication" Jason said. 

"Oh, I emailed you the program that we worked up" Spencer said. "Right, I saw the draft this just fine tunes it uh let's see uh if Shelly Leonard's gonna play something I don't think we can give her more than three minutes I remember she's somewhat of a snowboard with that cello" Jason said and picked up the picture of Alison. "Is this the picture for the program" Jason asked.

"Yes, it's everybody's favorite" Emily said. "Although hers was that one of her and Ava" Hanna said. 

"It's the one I would have picked I thought I was gonna be able to get my whole family out here, but you know at the last minute my mom um" Jason said.

"It's crazy talking about this isn't it" Jason asked. "When I think about her I, I think about you" Jason said. "I need a minute excuse me" Ava said and left nearly in tears. 

"Is she okay" Jason asked. "Yeah, I think it's still hard on her especially what's going on in her personal life" Aria said not wanting to give up Ava's secret and Jason nodded.

A few moments later Jason had saw Ava outside. "You okay" Jason asked Ava.

"Yeah, I was getting ready to head back in it's still hard sometimes" Ava said. "I understand" Jason said and Ava nodded.

"She loved you; you know it's almost insane how much she loved you" Jason said and Ava just stayed silent. "She would never admit it, but she loved you the most I never knew why" Jason said.

"It almost seemed like she knew more about you then she led on" Jason said. "It's Alison it wouldn't have surprised me" Ava said. "Well, the girls will fill you in I will see you later" Jason said and left.

Ava was at her locker when Mike came over. "Hey, you going to Noel's party" Mike asked. "I wouldn't be caught dead at his party" Ava said.

"So, game night" Mike asked. "Sure, why not even though I'm gonna beat you" Ava said. "Oh, you wish" Mike said and Ava smiled. "Still no word from your brother" Mike asked.

"No not yet and he probably won't come back anyways since everyone thinks he killed Ali" Ava said.

The bell had rung as Ava closed her locker. "Come on I'll walk you to class" Mike said and they headed off to class.

Ava, Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Hanna had gone to Spencer's when she just told them Alison tried to pin the Jenna thing on Spencer. 

"So, she tried to pin it on you" Hanna said. "That's what she told Jason" Spencer said. "But why you" Emily asked. "Because Spencer could stand up to her" Aria said.

"And Alison hated it" Ava added. "God this is officially insane" Hanna said. 

"Weird thing is Jason told me she went back and went in the house looking for Ava" Spencer said. "What" Ava said. "She came back for me" Ava asked. "Apparently" Spencer said.

"Is that what she told Jenna when she was at the hospital" Hanna asked.

"I don't know I don't think so, but I don't know" Spencer said. "Okay so one minute she's trying to cover it up and then the next she's running to save Ava and ratting us out to her brother" Aria said and Ava got a text.

"Guys I would love to stay but I kind of told Mike we have a game night" Ava said. "It's okay we'll fill you in or Aria will when she gets home" Spencer said and Ava nodded before leaving.

Ava had gone to Mike's room and knocked on his door. Mike had answered only wearing his sweatpants.

"Wow uh sorry I'm late" Ava said trying not to check out his abs. "It's cool I just got out of the shower come in everything's set up" Mike said. "Okay" Ava said and sat on his bed.

Mike had put his shirt on and sat next to Ava. "Oh, thank goodness" Ava mumbled to herself. "What" Mike said.

"Nothing, nothing uh you start" Ava said and Mike nodded. They started to play the game and Mike moved closer to Ava without her noticing.

Mike kept looking at Ava full of life and love and in that moment, he knew he liked her he just was afraid to tell her.

It was the day of Alison's memorial and Spencer was the first to go for the speeches. Spencer saw Ian walk in and looked at the girls who looked and saw him there.

"Ian" Aria said. "Wait Melissa's Ian" Hanna said. "Um" Spencer said, and the girls faced the front.

"I can't remember not knowing Alison not having her as a friend she was the first person I knew long enough that I felt I could be angry with without worrying that I was gonna lose her it made me feel like something was gonna last and you need that especially when you're a kid" Spencer said.

It was now Hanna's turn as she was up to speak, and Spencer took her seat.

"Friends can be hard on you maybe they expect more from you than strangers' strangers pretty much see you the way you want them to see you, but you can't fool friends that's what makes them friend" Hanna said and took Ava's seat as it was her turn to go.

"I sometimes wonder why Ali picked me to be in her group of friends I'm the youngest and yet that didn't seem to bother her she always made me feel welcome made me feel like I belonged happy safe cared for when I felt like I wasn't enough friends are your chosen family they may not be by blood but their your family even when you can't talk to your own family about things that go on in your life that's what makes them special" Ava said and took her seat as Emily went to take her turn.

"That corner of the park is gonna be a safe place where you can go and sit read a book and just think you should think about Alison while you're there she'd want to make sure you didn't forget about her" Emily said and took her seat and it was Aria's turn as she was the last to go. 

"You do something like this, a memorial it's partly because you don't understand what's happened so you, you plant flowers, and you paint tiles and somewhere in the middle of all that work you stop crying I guess that's the point" Aria said and took a seat as Spencer got back up to speak.

"She would have liked that you were all here she would have liked the attention no, actually she would have loved the attention it would have made her laugh and Alison laughing that was amazing" Spencer said and sat down as Ava went to help Jenna to the podium.

"Thanks, step Sissy" Jenna said. "Please just call me Ava" Ava said. Ava stayed next to Jenna while she spoke.

"We think we know who we are but we don't not until something bad happens to us and then all the bad useless things fall away and we're left with who we really are I learnt that from Alison DiLaurentis my whole life I thought I knew who she was but I found out the truth when she came and talked to me at the hospital I found out that she was the strongest person that I had ever met and it's her strength that touched so many people shaped them that's her real legacy that's how her memory will endure in the actions of those she inspired in so many different ways from all of us thank you Alison" Jenna said.

Hanna, Spencer, Aria, Ava, and Emily had walked in the kitchen. "I need sugar" Hanna said. "Me too I'm buying" Aria said and Jason walked in. "That was my folks they say thanks and so do I" Jason said. "You're welcome" Emily said.

"And I want you girls to have something the police returned this to my family I think you should have it" Jason said and pulled out a bracelet that looked like Alison's. 

"Ali's bracelet" Ava said. "The police have that to you" Emily asked. "Alison was wearing it" Jason said. "You mean when they found her" Hanna asked. 

"After listening today, I just thought that you should have it" Jason said. "I'll be in touch" Jason told Spencer and left.

"If that's Alison's bracelet what about the one we found in the woods" Emily asked. "I don't know" Aria said. "Someone made a copy of Alison's bracelet" Hanna said. "Yeah, and made sure that we would find it" Spencer said.
