Ava, Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily were all in the woods to find a way to say goodbye to Alison.

"Whose idea was this again" Hanna asked. "Emily's mom" Spencer said.

"The shed was me my mom just said that we should do something for us" Emily said. "Well couldn't we do something without mosquitoes" Hanna asked.

"Lighten up Han this could be good for us" Ava said. "They're not mosquitoes they're gnats" Emily said. "Whatever they're small and annoying and they're flying up my nose" Hanna said.

"Well, they're attracted to your perfume and your hair product, and your lip gloss" Spencer said. "So, what are you saying I attract flies" Hanna asked.

"Gnats" Emily said. "Why do I feel like this is the wrong way" Emily asked. "No this is it I remember that tree it's the halfway point there's 136 steps left to the shed" Spencer said.

"Have you been out here since Allison" Emily asked. "Me no, no way" Spencer said.

"But you remember that tree" Aria said. "Just because she remembers the tree doesn't mean she's been out here" Ava said.

"You guys it's not that weird I mean we came out here in eighth grade before we met Ava like every day even after" Hanna said. "I think this is totally the wrong place to do this whatever you call it shrine" Spencer said.

"It's not a shrine it's just a place to remember Alison" Emily said. "What's wrong with that" Emily asked.

"Doing it way out here makes it look like we have something to hide" Hanna said. "You're worried about what other people think" Emily asked.

"Well, aren't you" Spencer asked. "Not me but we do need to hurry I'm late meeting Mike" Ava said.

"Do you really want to give that creepy detective more reasons to question us" Spencer asked and Hanna walked off with the girls following her. "Hanna why are you so quiet" Emily asked.

"I'm trying to keep the bugs in my nose and out of my mouth" Hanna said. "You're allowed to have an opinion on this" Emily said.

Hanna had stopped walking and faced them. "You want my opinion I say we hold off and not remember her till we know for sure she's not still here" Hanna said.

"What" Emily, Ava, and Spencer said. "What are you talking about" Aria asked. "We were at her funeral" Ava said.

"You think she's still alive" Emily asked. "Hanna, they found her body" Spencer said. "Stop I'm officially scared" Aria said. "Can we just not" Aria asked. "You know you asked for my opinion I don't believe she's really gone" Hanna said walking off again and everyone followed.

"We went to her funeral like Ava said" Spencer said. "Yeah, and when we left, we all got a text from her" Hanna said.

"It wasn't her someone is messing with us" Emily said. "But who" Ava asked and Emily shrugged at her.

"How do you know and what about all those nasty messages I mean how does this A person know stuff only Ali knew" Hanna asked. "Okay this conversation is giving me a hive" Aria said.

"That's a bite mosquito" Emily said, and they all stopped walking. "Spencer, have you gotten any more messages" Emily asked.

"Haven't you" Spencer asked back. They all heard branches rustling. "What was that" Ava asked. "Did you hear that" Emily asked. "Yes, I heard that I'm standing right next to you" Aria said.

"Hello, is anybody out there" Hanna asked. "It's probably a rabbit" Spencer said. "Hello" Hanna said.

"It's a rabbit Hanna it's not gonna answer you" Spencer said. "Can we just get to the shed" Emily asked. "Good idea" Ava said.

They all heard more branches rustled. "Okay that is definitely not a rabbit someone's out here" Hanna said. "Let's turn around" Emily said and all their phones rung, and they looked seeing a message.

"Heads up BFFs it's open season on liars and I'm hunting - A" the message said.

Ava managed to catch up with Mike at the Montgomery place after managing to get away from the woods and the girls. "Was beginning to think they never let you out of your sight" Mike said.

"Almost seemed like it" Ava said. "What did you do anyways that was so important" Mike asked. "Emily wanted to do something to remember Alison or something but we decided to wait a little longer" Ava said. "How come" Mike asked.

"I'm not entirely sure it was their idea and we all agreed" Ava said. "Hey where's your sister and parents by the way" Ava asked.

"Went out for food" Mike said. "And you didn't go with" Ava asked. "And miss hanging out with you no not a chance" Mike said and Ava laughed. "Okay come on we're going to be late" Ava said and they left.

Ava was with Aria at Spencer's locker when her books fell out and Ava and Aria helped her with them. "Russian history" Aria asked. "Yeah" Spencer said getting up putting her books back in her locker.

"How many AP classes does it take until your brain explodes" Aria said getting up putting the book in Spencer's locker after Ava put the books she gathers in the locker.

"I'm already drowning in there" Spencer said. "Why what's drowning for you B+" Aria asked.

"First paper's due Monday and I've written two words my name" Spencer said and closed her locker.

"What's going on" Ava asked. "You're not still freaked out about what happened in the woods yesterday are you" Aria asked and they walked away from Spencer's locker.

"Look we do not have to do this thing for Ali until we figure" Aria said.

"No, it's not just that it's, it's everything" Spencer said. "Is there any chance your family wants to adopt me" Spencer asked.

They had saw Jenna and Toby walk past, and Toby gave Ava a look saying to come with.

Emily and Maya had arrived and saw Toby. "I'll see you guys later" Ava said.

"Wait what was that look about" Aria asked. "He doesn't like that I still hang out with you after the whole fire thing but I'm working on it, so I'll see you" Ava said going to Toby.

"Who's that" Maya asked. "Toby Cavanaugh Ava Cavanaugh's big brother" Emily said. "Who's he" Maya asked.

"He's uh a, older kid who used to go here and got sent away to reform school or something" Emily said as Ava and Toby left to talk. "Why" Maya asked.

"He had a, he set fire to a garage and his stepsister and his sister Ava they were in it" Emily said. "Should I be scared" Maya asked. "What no" Emily said. "See you later" Maya said. "Bye" Emily said.

"Toby, I promise you I'm fine" Ava said. "You do realize they are the ones who set the fire that nearly killed you and blinded Jenna" Toby said.

"Yes, I know that, but it was Alison all over you know that they wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for Alison" Ava said.

"I just want you to be careful" Toby said. "And I will okay but I can't stop being friends with them because you want me to besides Aria is Mike's sister my best friend, remember him" Ava said.

"How could I forget you been in love with him forever besides he's the only one I like for you" Toby said.

"I promise everything is fine okay and if anything happens, I'll call you straight away" Ava said. "As soon as I can I'm going to get us as far away from dad as possible your, my responsibility not his" Toby said.

"I know it's why you have custody over me remember" Ava said and Toby nodded. "Go I'll see you soon" Ava said and Toby nodded kissing her forehead in a brotherly way before leaving.

Ava caught back up with Spencer, Aria, and Emily. "Hey what I miss" Ava asked.

"Wilden is speaking to Hanna" Emily said. "What why" Ava asked. "We don't know" Aria said checking her kin. "What are you doing is that a new phone" Spencer asked.

"Yeah, I'm checking my kin I'll just write on Hanna's wall from here" Aria said. "If she's not answering texts what makes you think she's checking Facebook" Emily asked.

"It's worth a try" Aria said getting ready to write on her wall when Hanna came over.

"What's going on" Hanna asked. "We've been trying to get ahold of you" Aria said. "What happened in there" Ava asked.

"Nothing just the same old stupid questions" Hanna said. "You were in there for an hour Hanna" Spencer said. "What else did he ask" Spencer asked.

"Nothing he just took a couple calls and I just sat there waiting for him to shut up" Hanna said.

"Well, is he gonna question all of us alone now" Aria asked. "Who knows look let's do this at lunch okay I have to hit the ladies before my next class" Hanna said and left.

"Is she being weird" Spencer asked. "She's being weird I'll see you guys at lunch" Emily said. "See you Em" Ava said.

"Bye" Spencer said, and they all went their separate ways.

Ava was watching Mike practice lacrosse. Mike had saw her and ran up to her. "There's my good luck charm" Mike said.

"Your good luck charm" Ava asked. "Yeah of course" Mike said. "That okay" Mike asked. "Why wouldn't it be" Ava asked.

"Let me finish up here and we will go get some food before you head home to your brother" Mike said. "Sounds like a plan" Ava said and Mike went back to practice.

After Ava and Mike had gone out for food Mike had walked Ava home like he usually does before going home himself.

Ava was sitting with Toby on the steps when she saw Emily walking towards them.

"Hi, I, I never got a chance to I just wanted to thank you I mean I'm not sure why you well it doesn't matter thanks again" Emily said to Toby.

"See you at school Ava" Emily said and left. "Why is she thanking you" Jenna asked Toby and got no answer.

"Why is she thanking you" Jenna asked Toby again. "It's not what you think" Toby said. "Ava" Jenna said. "I don't know I wasn't there" Ava said.
