"Did you actually read any of this book" Spencer asked.

"A few pages bits and pieces Ezra knew who I was before we met, he knew who all of us were and he knew Alison too" Aria said as Ava sighed and sat next to Aria pulling her in her arms.

"So, he admitted to being in a relationship with her" Emily asked. "Yeah, a brief one" Aria said.

"Then he must be, board shorts" Hanna said. "Well Ezra didn't try to kill Alison his whole book is trying to piece who did it" Aria said.

"How is he gonna do that when the police can't even figure it out" Spencer asked. "I don't know he has a theory though" Aria said. "What's his theory" Ava asked.

"He thinks that one of us did it" Aria said. "You're kidding right" Spencer said. "Well now we know it's a work of fiction" Emily said.

"Like any of us would hurt Ali" Ava said. "Which one of us is he trying to pin it on" Spencer asked.

"I didn't get that far" Aria said. "You didn't think to ask" Spencer asked. "Why" Aria asked her.

"We know that that's not true" Aria said. "Okay just because he wrote the book doesn't mean he's not A you know he could be using it as a way to place the blame on one of us and keep suspicion off of him" Emily said.

"No, he doesn't need to do that he knows that Ali's alive" Hanna said. "But he didn't know that when he started writing the book" Spencer said.

"Guys listen Ezra's not A he's a writer who found a great opportunity to make a name for himself and he used me he used us" Aria said.

"Does this mean we're back to guessing who A is" Ava asked and Aria nodded at her.

"So, wait what are we saying that all of that stuff in that room in Ravenswood that was just research for his book" Spencer asked. "He's been working on it for years" Aria said.

"Well, we've seen the surveillance equipment, so we know he's been watching us" Hanna said.

"He's probably just hoping that we'd lead him to Alison so he could finally get his big ending" Aria said.

"If I could slap a teacher without getting in trouble" Ava said shaking her head.

"If he's been watching us then he has to know about A I mean how could he sit back all this time and not do anything to help you" Emily said to Aria. "It's simple he never really loved me" Aria said.

Emily and Ava saw Spencer and looked at each other before going to Spencer. "Hey" Emily said to Spencer getting her attention.

"How are you feeling" Ava asked as Emily sat down causing her to sit next to Emily. "Nauseous, achy, tired other than that fantastic" Spencer said.

"Can we do anything" Emily asked referring to her and Ava. "No, thank you for asking" Spencer said.

"Are you sure" Ava asked. "Yeah, please let's just talk about anything other than me" Spencer said.

"Shana called me this morning" Emily said. "From Georgia" Spencer asked and Emily nodded. "Did she say why she left" Spencer asked.

"All she said was she needed me to drop Ali's money off to a P.O. Box in Wallingford before 6pm today" Emily said.

"Wallingford that's over an hour away" Ava said. "Yeah" Emily said.

"I don't think that you should go" Spencer said. "Why not" Emily asked.

"One minute she's here and in the next she's not and then she's calling out of the blue for an urgent money drop" Spencer said.

"We know Ali needs the money Spence" Emily said and suddenly the girls saw Aria, walk past them. Aria, Ava, and Spencer looked at each other before following her.

"What's going on" Emily asked Aria. "We thought you were taking the day off" Ava said. "Need to speak to Ezra face to face" Aria said. "Well, wait Aria" Spencer said.

"I don't know where the truth begins and where the lies end" Aria said. "Okay Aria we all know you need answers" Ava said.

"And you certainly deserve them" Emily said. "But confronting him at school is not the best idea" Spencer said as Ava noticed Hanna made her way to them.

"Aria don't" Ava said as Aria walked into Ezra's classroom. "Where is Ezra" Aria asked not seeing him.

"Do you mean Mr. Fitz" the teacher asked her. "Yeah, I need to speak with him" Aria said.

"Do you know where he is" Aria asked. "Mr. Fitz took time off for a family emergency" the teacher said.

"Is there something I can help you with" she asked. "Oh, family emergency right" Aria said and left the classroom walking away as Ava, Hanna, Emily, and Spencer followed her.

"God he's a liar and a coward" Aria said. "Aria wait" Spencer said. "I'm fine" Aria said. "Aria slow down" Hanna said.

"I said I'm fine Hanna" Aria said as she faced Hanna. "Aria it's okay to not be fine" Ava said.

"Okay let me take you home" Emily said and Aria nodded.

Avawas doing homework when her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID before answering.

"Been a minute since I heard from you Noel" Ava said. "Yeah, sorry things have been crazy I guess" Noel said.

"No need to apologize I get it" Ava said. "Is Jason still in rehab" Noel asked. "As far as I know" Ava said. "Are you okay" Noel asked hearing her tone. "Yeah, just worried about Aria" Ava said.

"What's wrong" Noel asked. "Like I tell you, you can't stand them" Ava said.

"Fair" Noel said. "But if I know Aria she's strong and she'll get through it" Ava said. "But I gotta go talk soon okay" Ava said and hung up.

Emily and Ava walked over to Spencer, and she shown them the message on the pill box. "What's that" Emily asked. "A gift" Spencer said as Emily took the pill box reading the message.

"Guess it's better than a needle in the arm" Emily said. "Don't give A, any ideas" Spencer said. "Give them to me I'll throw them away" Ava told Emily.

"No, I better" Spencer said taking the pill box from Emily.

"I want to toss it far from this place" Spencer said and put them in her bag.

"You still up for operation money drop later" Spencer asked as she closed her locker, and they walked off with Ava following them.

"I can't let Ali down again" Emily said and Hanna made her way to Ava, Spencer, and Emily. "Hey, have you talked to Aria" Hanna asked. "I texted her a while ago, but I haven't heard back" Emily said.

"Yeah, same here" Ava said. "Hanna what is it what's wrong" Ava asked.

"I went to her house at lunch, and she is not there and she's not answering her cellphone" Hanna said. "I think I have an idea where she might be" Spencer said.

Ava, Hanna, Emily, and Spencer all went to Ezra's apartment and walked in seeing the place was a mess.

"What happened in here" Hanna asked. "Oh my god Aria" Emily said. "Aria" Ava said rushing to her as Emily, Spencer, and Hanna followed her.

"Aria are you okay" Ava asked. "Every secret I told him about Ali and about me and about you guys he wrote it down it was all for his book" Aria said.

"Aria if it were me, I would've burned this whole place down" Hanna said. "Come on we're gonna get you out of here okay" Emily said.

"Come on" Ava said offering Aria a hand up which she took. Ava, Emily, and Hanna went to leave as they led Aria when Spencer stopped them.

"Wait you guys this is some of the stuff from Ezra's apartment in Ravenswood shouldn't we take it with us" Spencer asked.

"Spencer not now it's nothing we haven't seen before" Hanna said. "Can you grab Aria's bag" Emily asked. "Yeah" Spencer said as Ava, Aria, Hanna, and Emily left.

"Are you feeling any better" Hanna asked as Aria burned page by page of Ezra's book.

"Worse actually the more I think about it the stupider I feel there had to have been signs" Aria said. "How did I miss them" Aria asked.

"Aria no one thought he'd be capable of doing what he did" Hanna said. "Not even me and we all know how I felt about him" Ava said. "He fooled all of us" Hanna said once she stood up.

Aria sighed and got up as Ava got up as well. "Yeah, but you're not the one who was sleeping with him" Aria said and sighed before facing Hanna and Ava.

"And if it weren't for me, he wouldn't know things about you guys' personally things that I trusted him to keep between us" Aria said.

"He even wrote about what you did to your dad's car something I didn't even know about somehow he found out possibly from Ali" Aria said.

"It was probably written in her journal so I wouldn't doubt it" Ava said.

"Aria he wasn't just getting information from you" Hanna told Aria.

"Do you think that's how he found out Ali was alive the GrunWald tape" Hanna asked.

"Yeah, well it makes sense I just I don't even know how he would have gotten the tape in the first place" Aria said.

"Have you had anything to eat at all today" Ava asked Aria. "Do you want to get some food" Hanna asked. "No" Aria said. "We can order in" Hanna said.

"You can go pick up food Hanna I'll be fine by myself for 10 minutes" Aria said.

"Who said you was going to be by yourself I'm not going anywhere I'll be by your side as long as you let me" Ava said. "Go I'll keep her company" Ava told Hanna.

"Okay but no more torching Ezra till I get back" Hanna said motioning to the pages of the book" Hanna said and left.

"Aria what's wrong" Ava asked once she made her way back downstairs from the bathroom seeing Aria's facial expression.

"Come on I'll explain on the way" Aria said and Ava stood up. "I'll call Han" Ava said as they left.

"Aria, Ava" Hanna said once she made her way out of the car as Aria and Ava got out of the car.

Aria walked away as Ava and Hanna followed her. "Where are you going" Hanna asked catching up to Aria and Hanna.

"Somewhere to make things worse from what I been told" Ava said. "Ezra's moving forward with the book" Aria told Hanna. "What" Hanna said.

"He's meeting with his agent in New York right now discussing a release date" Aria said. "Release date can you just stop" Hanna asked. "At least just for a second" Ava said.

"I cannot believe that I actually believed he was going to destroy the book to save our relationship now I know that everything he says or has ever said is a lie it's a big fat lie" Aria said.

"Okay but Aria you don't want do this" Ava said. "Do what" Hanna asked. "Tell her" Ava told Aria.

"What Ava means is I'm telling Principal Hackett everything about me and Ezra" Aria said.

"What do you mean you're telling him everything" Hanna asked. "I'm not going to be the only one that suffers from this Hanna" Aria said and faced Hanna.

"Aria if you tell Principal Hackett about your relationship Ezra is not just gonna suffer, he's going to go to jail" Hanna said.

"Are you taking his side" Aria asked Hanna. "No of course not" Hanna said.

"We're on your side always" Ava said. "Look I'm not saying you shouldn't do this I just I want you to be clear about what will happen if you do" Hanna said.

"Oh, I'm clear" Aria said. "Will you just think about what you're doing please" Ava asked Aria.

"Aria look if this gets out it's gonna hurt you too it'll be in the papers all over town" Hanna said.

"Yeah, do you think I really give a crap about that" Aria asked. "Look this is gonna affect your family too" Hanna said as she and Ava saw the lights turned on.

"Are you sure you want to do this" Hanna asked. "Be better than him Aria" Ava said and they quickly left. "You did the right thing" Hanna said.

"Maybe I did maybe I didn't" Aria said. "So, I'll meet you back at your place" Hanna said. "Maybe we should give her some time alone" Ava told Hanna.

"I'm not gonna leave her alone" Hanna said. "Believe me I don't want to either but it's the best thing right now" Ava said.

"Hanna listen to Ava she's right I don't want your company okay" Aria said.

"Look I know what you're going through I've been through this myself" Hanna said. "I don't want to talk to you I don't want to talk to anyone I want to be left alone" Aria said.

"Is that too much to ask" Aria asked and Hanna shook her head. Aria got on her car and drove away.

"How did you know she wanted to be left alone" Hanna asked. "Because I once was in her shoes" Ava said.
