Betrayal and shocking truths

(Episode 1-25)

Ava, Hanna, Aria, Spencer, and Emily were all still at the church when the police didn't find Ian's body trying to figure out what happened knowing he was dead when they saw him.

"He wasn't moving okay, and he was not breathing" Aria said. "Because he was dead" Emily said. "He is dead not was, is" Spencer said.

"Where did he go" Ava asked. "He couldn't have left on his own" Ava said. "So, unless we're saying Ian's a zombie someone moved the body" Emily said.

"It was probably stuffed in the trunk of A's car" Hanna said. "It's probably on its way to a meat grinder" Emily said.

"Oh, Em come on you gotta quit watching those horror films" Aria said.

"Aria's right Em besides we don't know what A plans on doing with the body" Ava said.

"You guys' A's probably watching us right now" Spencer said. "Anyone of these people could be A" Emily said. "Half the town is here" Hanna said.

"As long as she or he doesn't run me over again I'm good" Ava said. "They wanna see you girls at the station" Garrett said coming over.

"I'm here to drive you" Garrett said. "Uh well I saw my parents earlier they're gonna wanna know where we're going" Aria said. "They'll meet us there come on let's go" Garrett said and he and the girls left.

Hanna noticed they weren't going to the police station.

"Hey, I thought we were going to the police station" Hanna said. "Where are you taking us" Ava asked.

"Why are we stopping" Spencer asked once Garrett stopped the car. "Garrett" Emily said. "Let's go" Garrett said. "No, I'm not going anywhere" Hanna said. "Me neither" Ava said.

"Get out of the car" Garrett said and they did. "It's not safe to talk in the car" Garrett said.

"Well, it doesn't really feel safe out here either" Hanna said. "Look I'm sorry if I scared you but there's some things you guys need to know before you start answering questions" Garrett said.

"We're listening" Spencer said. "Alright the police cannot know that you were blackmailing Ian and that I was helping you it's a serious crime" Garrett said. 

"Well, what about the messenger" Aria asked. "He doesn't want any trouble" Garrett said.

"And the money" Hanna asked. "For now, I'm hiding it" Garrett said. "Well try not to get caught by your coworkers" Ava said.

"What about the videos" Spencer asked. "You still have them" Garrett asked.

"Yeah, we made a copy" Spencer said. "Okay look I've never asked you guys how you got them, and I don't wanna know but you better be prepared to tell the police how you did because that's, that's the first question they're gonna ask you" Garrett said.

"Officer Renalds what's your ETA" the officer asked over the radio. "Uh yeah we're enroute" Garrett said over the radio.

"Roger that" the officer said on the radio. "I hate asking you to lie like this" Officer Renalds said. "Well, it's not like we have a choice" Ava said.

"But are we all clear" Garrett asked. "We'll keep the videos a secret" Spencer said.

"For now," Hanna said. "Okay good let's get back" Garrett said. "I'm sorry we got you into this" Emily said. "No, we'll be okay we just need to stick to our story yeah" Garrett said and they left.

"Ugh my brain is numb from all those cop questions" Hanna said.

"Your brain is numb I feel like I'm gonna explode" Ava said. "I don't think I'd be here if it wasn't for A" Spencer said.

"A killed Ian to keep you here" Aria said. "I'm sorry but that is not a comforting thought" Hanna said. "A, gives so she can take we know that" Emily said.

"So, what's the witch gonna ask for" Hanna asked. "Whatever it is I don't think we can afford it" Spencer said.

"Spence you didn't, you didn't see anything" Aria asked. "I saw a black hoodie, black boots, and gloves" Spencer said. "Well, I think it's safe to say that A's not Jenna" Aria said.

"Yeah, but we still have no idea who A is" Ava said. "Are we sure" Hanna asked referring to Jenna. "A, sees everything Hanna" Spencer said.

"I'm starting to think we should tell someone about her, him, it" Emily said.

"What's the worst thing that can happen" Emily asked. "We die" Ava said. "A knows all of our secrets" Spencer said.

"Yeah, of people find out we'll always be those girls go blinded Jenna Marshall and nearly killed one of our best friends" Hanna said. "Not my favorite thing to remember" Ava said.

"And now we're those girls who are afraid of A" Emily said. "No Em I mean you're right but look we have so much to lose" Aria said.

"I feel like I have a hangover and I never even went to the party" Hanna said.

"We need caffeine" Spencer said. "Oh no offense but" Aria said stopping Spencer from getting up.

"Can I make it" Aria asked. "Seriously" Spencer said. "I'm with Aria" Emily said. "I don't drink coffee but I'm gonna take their word for it" Ava said.

"Yeah, sorry Spence but your coffee gives me the shakes" Hanna said and they all went downstairs where they saw all their parents except Ava's.

"What's going on" Aria asked. "Mom" Hanna said. "Uh Veronica since this is your idea" Ashley said.

"The accusations you made about Ian have cast a bright spotlight on all of you Spencer is still a person of interest in Alison's murder investigation and now the police seem to think that you four are also involved" Veronica said.

"What that's crazy this whole town knows much Alison meant to me" Ava said.

"Ian killed Alison okay and last night he tried to kill me" Spencer said going down the steps with the girls following her.

"Yeah, we were all there we told you exactly what we saw" Aria said. "And we heard you" Ella said. "We don't need to rehash what we talked about last night it's this is about moving forward" Brian said.

"And while the police sort through this we want you girls to see a grief counselor" Veronica said.

"She's a therapist who can help you deal with Alison's death" Ella said. "And what appears to the police to be an obsession with trying to pin her death on Ian" Veronica said.

"You think we're lying" Emily asked. "Emily, I believe you it's the way it looks that concerns us" Pam said.

"This is a preemptive strike, and the goal is to garner both police and public sympathy" Veronica said. "Well, I'm not going to a shrink I mean that's what friends are for" Hanna said.

"And my parents won't agree to this" Ava said. "They'd have to acknowledge my existence to care" Ava mumbled so no one heard her.

"You can't be the only one who doesn't go and Ava your right, but I talked to your brother, and he agreed" Ashley said. "Toby agreed to this" Ava asked.

"Maybe you'll get more out of it than you think" Ella said. "This is bull" Hanna said.

"Hanna" Ashley said. "Do you believe us" Spencer asked. "What I know is that one of my daughters is in the hospital and the other one's in trouble and it's my job to protect you both" Veronica said.

"You didn't answer the question" Spencer said. "Probably because they don't believe us" Ava said.

"You haven't heard from Ian for a reason he's dead" Aria said. "Dead men don't get up and walk away" Peter said. "We told you someone moved the body" Emily said.

"Who, who would do that and why" Veronica asked and there was a knock on the door and Peter answered.

"Is Spencer home" Toby asked. "You shouldn't be here Toby" Peter said. "Is she okay" Toby asked.

"No, she isn't Spencer's in a lot of trouble and you're not helping her" Peter said and Aria had to hold Ava back from going over there.

"Let go of me no one disrespects my brother I don't care how old they are" Ava said.

"Look whether you've earned it or not you have a reputation my daughter can't afford to be seen with you" Peter said.

"Let me at him, let me at him" Ava said and Hanna had to help Aria hold Ava back. "I would never do anything to hurt Spencer" Toby said. "Good if you mean that you'll stay away from her" Peter said and closed the door.

"I'm sorry Spencer" Peter said, and the girls went upstairs with Aria and Hanna leading Ava afraid what she may do to Peter after the way he talked to Toby.

Hanna, Ava, Aria, Spencer, and Emily walked into class when they saw hangman. "That's it" Ava said going to pounce on someone when the girls held her back.

"You think this is funny" Ava asked. "You try finding a dead body" Ava said. "You think we're lying" Ava asked.

"Why don't I knock your teeth out and we'll see how funny it is" Ava said and the girls took their seats.

Ezra walked into the classroom and saw the hangman and started to erase it.

"You need some help with it, Mr. Fits" Noel asked, and the girls looked noticing he was back in school.

"You can take your seat Mr. Kahn" Ezra said and Noel went to his seat which was beside Aria and in front of Ava. "Miss me" Noel asked. "No not really" Ava said. "Why you ask" Ava asked.

Ava and Hanna went to Hanna's locker as they tried their best to ignore the girls who were talking about them.

Ava happened to see Mona come over and went to the girls. "I don't know what's more pathetic people who gossip or people who listen to gossip" Mona said and the girls who were gossiping left.

"Look at Suzy Lipton strutting her bony butt in those skinny jeans I heard she lost all that weight drinking breast milk" Mona said.

"What" Hanna said. "Boob milk you can buy it online" Mona said.

"That's just gross" Ava said. "You know I miss how easy things used to be" Hanna said. "You mean before you and Ava reunited with the others" Mona said.

"We had so much fun last summer" Hanna said. "And some of it was even legal" Mona said.

"You know I'm tired of thinking about things" Hanna said. "Me too" Mona said. "Maybe I do need therapy" Hanna said.

"Uh Hanna" Ava said. "As in retail" Hanna said. "Oh, Ava there's your boyfriend" Mona said. "Catch you guys later" Ava asked and they nodded, and Ava left catching up with Mike.

"You sure you're okay with being seen with me" Ava asked Mike. "Of course," Mike said. "Why wouldn't I be" Mike asked.

"Oh, I don't know girl finds dead body that mysteriously vanishes and now everyone assumes she's lying for attention" Ava said.

"Well, their idiots they don't know you like I do" Mike said and Ava smiled. "Thanks, you always have a way to make me feel better with everything" Ava said.

"I'm your boyfriend it's my job to" Mike said and Ava smiled at him. "Even before we were dating" Ava said. "Yeah, well I like it better now that you're my girl" Mike said. "Me too" Ava said.

Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Ava were all in therapy staying silent when Hanna walked in closing the door behind her. 

"Sorry I'm late" Hanna said. "But have you been downtown" Hanna asked.

"The sales are huge" Hanna said. "You must be Hanna I'm Anne" Anne said.

"So, what'd I miss" Hanna asked. "Not a thing" Aria said. "We waited for you" Spencer said and Hanna took her seat.

"It sounds like you credit Alison for the friendship" Anne said. "Yeah of course" Ava said. "We became friends because of her" Emily said.

"But she's gone and the five of you still seem very close" Anne said. "We weren't always" Emily said. "We lost touch when Ali went missing" Aria said.

"What brought you back together" Anne asked and they all stayed silent.

"You don't all have to agree there are no right or wrong answers here" Anne said. "Her death" Spencer said.

"Well, that's one way to put it" Ava said. "She means when they found her" Aria said.

"When they found her body" Emily said. "Do you think you were looking for closure" Anne asked. "We were looking for answers" Spencer said. "The answer to who murdered Alison the five of you don't have to go through this alone this is a safe place to talk nothing you say here goes beyond these walls" Anne said and the girls stayed silent.

"Do we" Aria asked the girls. "Do we wanna talk about that thing" Aria asked them again and their phones rang.

"Well, what is it" Anne asked. "Um I think our time is up" Spencer said and they left the building. "It's not A, it's just my mom" Aria said. "Yeah, same here she wants me to come home" Emily said, and Spencer and Ava saw Toby. "Looks like my ride is here" Ava said.

They saw Jenna go towards the car. "Well, this should be a fun ride" Ava said and Toby motioned for Ava to get in the car.

"What really happened" Emily said seeing the newspaper and she, Ava, Emily, Hanna, and Aria looked at it.

"They found Ian's car by the train station and 10.000 dollars that he took from his bank account they think he skipped town, and we made up a story because we knew he left" Spencer said.

"This just gets worse and worse" Ava said and their phones rang.

"I spy a liar - A" Ava, Emily, Aria, Spencer, and Emily said reading the message. "I better go or dad might end up leaving and Toby and I will have to walk home" Ava said and got in the car with Toby and they left.

Ava was at Mona's while Toby was over at Emily's talking to Spencer.

Ava and Mona was watching a movie when Mona noticed Ava was quiet. Mona paused the movie and looked at Ava.

"Hey Avs, you okay" Mona asked. "I don't know" Ava said. "What do you mean" Mona asked.

"I just I don't know everyone wants to believe what they want to believe and because I used to hang with Ali, they automatically think I'm a liar and want attention" Ava said.

"Why would I lie about that" Ava asked. "I'm not like Ali I hated how she treated people especially you" Ava said.

"I know" Mona said. "I loved Ali like a sister I was surprised when she took me in, and people can say all these things about her, but nobody knew her like I did they didn't know the real Ali I did, and I miss her so much" Ava said and Mona pulled Ava to lay on her lap.

"I know you do and it's okay to miss her" Mona said. "Just promise me that I won't lose you too" Ava said.

"I promise" Mona said and Ava smiled sitting up. "Feel better" Mona asked.

"Lots thanks Mona you're the best sister / best friend a girl could ask for" Ava said. "I'm always here for you no matter what" Mona said and she and Ava continued to watch the movie.

Ava was with Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hanna when she told them about the message A sent her.

"A had to have followed me to Ezra's and, he, she, shim must've seen me get that key from under the doormat" Aria said.

"Let me see that" Hanna said and Aria gave her the phone. "Okay I see books, photographs, magazines" Hanna said and gave Aria a look. "What is it Hanna" Ava asked.

"What" Aria said. "Is that a playboy" Hanna asked. "What" Spencer said and looked.

"Oh, right there under that black thing on the cabinet" Hanna said. "That black thing is called a typewriter" Spencer said.

"Han that's not a playboy that's a playbill" Aria said. "I don't think what's missing matters A wants us to know that she can come and go through Ezra's apartment" Emily said.

"When's it gonna stop" Emily asked. "Remember where we were a few months ago" Emily said.

"Visiting me in the hospital" Ava said. "A hit Ava and kept on going" Emily said.

"He didn't even hesitate before pushing Ian it's almost like it was no big deal" Spencer said.

"I don't wanna be sitting next to you guys at another funeral" Emily said. "You think we should tell the therapist" Spencer asked and Emily nodded.

"We were really close to telling her yesterday it felt so good" Aria said. "Telling Anne wouldn't be like telling our parents I mean she had to keep it a secret right" Emily said.

"Look okay I know we promised Garrett that we wouldn't show the video to the cops, but I mean if we want Anne to believe us" Aria said.

"A picture's worth a thousand words" Spencer said. "You know she was wearing a gorgeous pair of Chloe's" Hanna said. "Who" Aria asked. "The shrink" Hanna said.

"You're really talking about fashion right now" Ava said. "And this is relevant to this conversation because" Spencer said to Hanna.

"You can tell a lot about a person by their shoes" Hanna said. "I really heard her when she said that we don't have to go through this alone" Emily said.

"Do we all agree" Spencer asked. "Seems like it" Ava said. "But you guys' mind going without me" Ava asked.

"I have a date with Mike" Ava said. "Of course, we'll fill you in" Aria said. "Thanks" Ava said and left.

Aria was laying on her bed when there was a knock on her door. "Come in" Aria said and Ella and Brian walked in.

"Do you have a minute" Ella asked and Aria sat up. "Yeah, what's wrong" Aria asked. "Well, we just got off the phone with your therapist" Brian said.

"And she didn't tell us what happened today, but she did tell us she doesn't think it's gonna be helpful to continue seeing you girls as a group" Ella said.

"Uh yeah don't really blame her" Aria said. "And based on your sessions she's making a recommendation that uh we're gonna have to back her up on" Brian said. "For now," Ella said.

"A recommendation for what" Aria asked. "She doesn't believe you girls are capable of maintaining a healthy friendship at the moment so she's recommending that you spend some time apart" Ella said.

"Yeah, and Dr Sullivan said she's seen this before after a traumatic loss it's not uncommon for a close-knit group of friends to disconnect from the outside world" Brian said.

"But that's not what's happening" Aria said. "We're not saying this is forever" Ella said.

"Are you telling me that I can't see my friends what about Ava" Aria asked.

"She and Mike are dating" Aria said. "Ava can still see Mike while attempting to maintain distance" Ella said.

Ella and Brian left knowing Aria wanted to be alone closing the door behind them. Aria's phone rang and she looked seeing a message from A.

"Wanna know a Secret Ava is not a Cavanaugh don't believe me see for yourself" the message said, and Aria clicked the attachment seeing Ava's birth certificate.

Her eyes widened seeing A was right Ava was not a Cavanaugh.

"Oh my god" Aria said after seeing whose daughter Ava really was.

Ava was in Mike's room after their date making out when Ava pulled away. "What" Mike said. "Nothing I'm just really happy" Ava said smiling. "Not stressed about everyone else anymore" Mike asked.

"No, I think as long as I have you, I'm okay and of course Mona" Ava said and Mike smiled.

Mike kissed Ava once again and they started to make out when things got heated. Mike pulled away after feeling Ava trying to take off his shirt.

"You sure" Mike asked. "I don't want to do anything if you're not ready we don't have to do this we can wait" Mike said.

"I know but I'm sure I promise" Ava said. "Okay" Mike said and kissed her.

The kiss got heated and Mike took off Ava's shirt and laid her down on the bed getting on top of her. Ava took off Mike's shirt and Mike kissed her neck before going back to her lips when things got heated.
