Summary

Ava Cavanaugh Spencer Hastings Emily Fields Hanna Marin Aria Montgomery and Alison DiLaurentis were all best friends along with being the popular group as Alison was queen b.

The group was practically inseparable. Even though Ava didn't agree with them most of the time with how they would let Alison get by with about anything.

Ava was the baby of the group and one of Alison's favorites and no one but Alison knew it.

She loved Ava with all of her heart. Ava was closer Aria than the rest.

They were like the big sisters she always wanted that is until things started falling apart.

Ava, Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer were all in Spencer's barn drinking and having fun when all of a sudden, the lights and the music turned off.

"What happened" Emily asked. "Why'd the music stop" Ava asked. "It must be the storm" Spencer said. They all had heard a squeak blare. "Something's out there" Aria said and the door of the barn opened.

"Guys" Hanna said. They all had got up and looked at the door scared, and they had gone closer when a glass noise blared.

They shout but had still gone closer when Alison came into sight. "Gotcha" Alison said, and they all screamed. "That's so not funny Alison" Spencer said.

"Yeah, I'm with Spencer" Ava said. "I thought it was hilarious girls" Alison said. They all had laughed and went to sit down on the sofas.

"Ali did you download the new Beyonce" Hanna asked. "Not yet" Alison said. "Me neither then again I don't like Beyonce" Ava said. "I'm loving her new video" Emily said who was sat beside Ava.

"Maybe a little too much Em" Alison said and gave a glass to Aria. "Your turn go on" Alison said and Aria took a drink.

"Careful Aria take too much and you'll tell us all your secrets" Spencer said. "Friends share secrets that's what keeps us close drink up" Alison said.

Aria was the first to wake up in the barn and she didn't see Alison or Spencer she had saw Emily, Ava, and Hanna still sleeping. Aria had woken the three girls up.

"Em" Aria said. "Where's Ali and Spencer" Hanna asked. "We don't know" Aria said. Aria had gotten up and gone to the door when Spencer had arrived.

"Ali" Aria asked. "She's gone" Spencer said. "What do you mean she's gone" Aria asked. "I've looked everywhere for her I think I heard her scream" Spencer said.

It has been a year since Alison's disappearance and the girls have lost touch well except for Ava and Hanna who was now best friends with Mona Vanderwaal.

Aria had gone away with her parents and brother to Europe for a year while Mike and Ava stayed in touch. Back at Rosewood mall Hanna was trying on glasses while Ava was with Mona.

"Could I see the Prades in the front" Hanna asked. "I'll have to put some in the back" the salesman said.

"But they're all maybes" Hanna said and Ava and Mona had made their appearance with a scarf around Mona's neck. "Hey is this me" Mona asked.

"She wants both of our opinions" Ava explained. "Or is it a little too much your mother" Hanna asked and Mona went to change as Hanna put on some new glasses when Mona came back, and Hanna faced Ava and Mona.

"I am loving those glasses" Mona said. "Me too" Ava said. "How much" Mona asked. "$350" Hanna said and Mona left as Ava stayed with Hanna and then Hanna saw Spencer looking at clothes.

"I'll be right back" Hanna told the salesman and Ava rolled her eyes knowing she won't be.

Hanna and Ava had made their way to Spencer. "I cannot believe Spencer Hastings actually has time to shop I mean you're interning for the mayor taking classes at Hollis and redoing the barn and in your leisure moments you Facebook and tweet" Hanna said.

"You know me I like to stay busy" Spencer said. "Yeah, sometimes you can be too busy" Ava said. "It's called a summer vacay Spence" Hanna said.

"You spent yours sunning and shopping" Spencer said. "Tweet-tweet" Hanna said. "Did you guys see the paper today" Spencer asked. "Yeah" Hanna said.

"How could we not" Ava said. "She's gone but she's everywhere" Spencer said.

"I can't believe it's been a year" Hanna said. "Do you remember what Ali said that night about our secrets keeping us close" Spencer asked.

"I think it was the opposite" Spencer said. "I'm gonna find Mona nice seeing you Spence" Ava said and left. Ava soon enough found Mona and started walking with her prepared to leave with Hanna soon joining them.

"I so thought you were busted" Mona said. "Nice scarf" Hanna said. "Nice glasses" Mona said back.

"And you wonder why I don't want to come when you guys shoplift" Ava said and they both rolled their eyes.

Emily and Aria had made it in the classroom and took their seats. "So, I hear the new teacher's really hot" Emily said. "Hey, have you kept in touch with Ava" Aria asked.

"No, we lost touch too, but she kept in touch with Hanna from what I hear" Emily said. "We lost touch too but she's still close with Mike" Aria said. "Your brother" Emily asked.

"Yeah, they're the same age so makes sense" Aria said. Hanna and Ava then walked in the room. "Is that Hanna and Ava" Aria asked.

"They're the it girls now" Emily said. Mona had arrived in the classroom and went to Hanna and Ava. "And when there's Hanna and Ava there's Mona" Emily said.

"That's Mona" Aria asked. "Can you believe it" Emily asked. "Wow talk about a makeover" Aria said.

Hanna and Ava had saw Aria and Emily and they waved at them. "What's up with her are you two fighting" Aria asked.

"We didn't just fall out of touch with you or Ava we all fell out of touch with each other" Emily said. Spencer had arrived gave a small smile to Hanna and Ava then went to sit in her seat.

"They're not so close anymore either" Emily said. "So, they're friendly but not friends" Aria asked and Emily nodded. The bell had rung, and Aria had got her books when Hanna, Mona, and Ava took their seats and then the new teacher walked in.

He had turned around after writing his name on the board and saw Aria. "Holy crap" he said, and everyone looked at Aria as Aria had finally looked up and saw the teacher shocked before her phone dinged.

"Sorry" Aria said grabbing her phone. "Uh I'm Mr. Fitz your new English teacher" Ezra said. Aria had looked at the new text she had gotten.

"Maybe he fools around with students all of the time a lot of teachers do just ask your dad - A" The text had said. "Alison" Aria said.

Ava was with Mike as he was practicing for lacrosse and Ava just watched him stealing a glance every so often. Mike would look at her every once in a while, smile and wave at her.

If Ava wasn't with the girls, she was with Mike Montgomery her best friend who she was secretly in love with that no one knew about well except for Alison.

Ava had suddenly got a text and she had opened to see it. "Making googily eyes at the little brother what would Aria think if she knew you were in love with her brother - A" the text said. "Ali" Ava said.

Aria, Emily, and Ava were at Aria's sitting in a swing chair under the flight of the steps. "Hey, I'm sorry for just stopping by" Emily said. "Yeah, me too" Ava said.

"No anytime Em, Avs come on you both know that plus Ava you're always here with Mike" Aria said and Ava nodded.

"Somebody left a note in my locker" Emily said. "From A" Aria and Ava asked at the same time. "You too" Emily asked Ava and Aria. "Do you really think it's her is it possible" Aria asked.

"Only Alison could have known" Emily said. "What" Ava said. "Known, know what" Aria asked.

"It was" Emily said. "Personal" Ava asked. "I really believed she was dead" Emily said.

"Yeah, yeah we all did" Aria said. "Could she really be back" Emily asked. "I think she's playing with us" Aria said.

"Wouldn't surprise me" Ava said. "Why would she do that" Emily asked. "It's Alison that we're talking about here I mean wasn't that her favorite sport" Aria said.

"Should we tell someone" Emily asked. "I don't, I don't know about you, but I can't" Aria said.

"Yeah, me neither" Ava said. "I'm glad you're back" Emily told Aria. "Me too even if it didn't look like it earlier" Ava said.

"It's funny I mean even though I grew up here I feel like a total outsider" Aria said. "Me too" Emily said.

After Ava had saw Alison's dead body, she had made her way to Spencer, Hanna, and Aria.

Ava was trying to hold back her tears after seeing Alison's body.

Emily and Aria had noticed, and they pulled Ava to them hugging her knowing how much Alison loved Ava.

Aria had made it in the church and saw Jessica Alison's mother and she made her way to her.

"Mrs. Dilaurentis" Aria said. "Aria I'm so glad you came" Jessica said and gave Aria a hug. She had pulled away from the hug a moment later.

"I asked the other girls to sit together up front it's what Alison would have wanted" Jessica said. "Of course," Aria said and made her way to the girls.

Once she saw Alison's coffin, she stopped walking and Hanna took her hand when Aria looked. Aria had taken her seat next to Hanna with Ava on Hanna's other side. "Poor Ali" Emily said.

"Can you believe what a scene this is" Hanna asked. "Alison would have loved it" Aria said. "Popular in life" Spencer said.

"And death" Ava said. Hanna then gave Emily a phial of alcohol to Emily. "No thanks I don't" Emily tried to say. "Today I think you do" Hanna said and Aria's phone rings and all the girls looked at her.

"Anyone we know" Hanna asked. "No, it's just my mom sending me a text" Aria said before seeing the look on their faces.

"Ava, Emily, and I aren't the only ones who's got messages from A are we" Aria asked. Spencer turned around saw Jenna.

"It's Jenna, Ava what is your sister doing here" Spencer asked. "Stepsister and how should I know I barely talk to her" Ava said. Jessica had sat next to the girls.

"Did you see that Jenna Marshall was here I didn't realize she and Ali were friends" Jessica said. "They weren't" Spencer said.

Soon enough the ceremony had ended, and the girls had gone out of the church. "Emily, Spencer, Aria, Ava, and Hanna" an agent had said to them, and they faced him.

"Do we know you" Spencer asked. "I'm detective Wilden I understand you were all good friends with the victim" Detective Wilden said.

"Yeah, we were" Aria said. "I'm gonna need to talk to each one of you" Detective Wilden said. "We talked to the police when Alison went missing" Ava said.

"And I intend to go over every one of your statements this is no longer a missing person investigation it's a murder rest assured I will find out what happened that summer" Detective Wilden said and walked off.

"Do you think he knows about" Aria asked making Ava confused. "No how could he" Hanna said. "Know what" Ava asked and then all of their phones rang as they got it out and looked seeing a text from A.

"It's from" Hanna said. "I got one too" Emily said. "Me too" Ava said. "I'm still here liars" Spencer said reading her text out loud. "And I know everything A" all the girls said reading their text out loud.
