☀︎ 𝓘 thought he was an angel full of white purity, a person whose smile alone could light up a room. I tried to convince myself through the signs of his gray wings that perhaps we could work out. I tried to convince myself that because we were so young, I could catch him– 

But, he cut right through my net. He dug a knife into my heart.

To fool me once was a pass. To fool me twice, I could let it go. To fool me thrice, I'd just call him stupid.

To fool me a million times, to fool me for a thousand times more, until the end of eternity, if I had not met who I had, I would've gone around the carousel, round' and round' until he was the one to stop me. I, the fool, would've stayed.

And I hate myself for falling every time. Whenever I saw him, I was convinced, but even in my dreams another angel reached out to me, telling me he was a decoy–he was the devil.

Yet, I allowed him to wrap me in his wings, hoping my wasted time would turn him into a real one. But, I was so easily tricked, every time.

And the worst part is, in my head, now that he's reemerged as an angel with a few feathers still gray,

I would consider taking him back.
