Doesn't matter, it came to an end.
But if you'd like to know
I guess there's no point to running away.
This is how the story goes...

I was standing in line,
it was at the airport.
You just happened to be behind.
It took forever but felt like seconds.
The time just flew
as I was talking to you.

We exchanged names
I couldn't help but notice your smile.
You gave me your number, I promised I'd call.
You smiled again, and my god, did it drive me wild.

Flash forward, I called you one night
and we talked as the stars aligned
I watched the stars, I wonder if you did the same that night.
I never thought you'd be mine

We met up one day
we went and got coffee.
We spoke for hours, but I never said what I wanted to say.
But then you turned to me,
you opened your mouth and then closed it.
"be safe." you finally said
I turned to you and nodded my head.
Not knowing that would be the last times we spoke.
And we never heard from each other again.
