"I love you."

I said quietly. Not convinced it was true.

You just rolled your eyes

And whispered "I love you too."

We both laughed

Knowing it wasn't true.

We'd never feel that way

But now I look back

At all those memories and things we've been through

Tears cloud my eyes

Maybe I didn't love you

And maybe you felt the same.

"I miss you."

I said quietly

But you weren't there to say the same.
