Dear Sydney,

    I forgot how nasty you're capable of being when you're angry. And I'm pretty sure I mean that as a compliment, because those were some killer one-liners.

    I'm sorry about Monday night. I don't drink, I don't think I've ever drank before, and so after having a few with Dan, I was completely out...I guess my body just isn't used to it. Dan and I had agreed to not drink, so he didn't...but I didn't really stick to that. I was just in a funk I guess, and I'm not sure why. I'm really sorry about the texts and letter, I didn't mean to offend you or annoy you in any way. I completely understand your reaction, and I'm really sorry Syd.

    I know you must have seen the social media posts about tonight's party, and I swear I won't be doing anything like that there. I have self-control, I promise. Monday night was just a fluke, a lapse in judgement. I love you so much, I wouldn't want to do anything to compromise us, and I think that drunk letters don't portray that very well.

    Addressing the other parts of your letter, what's wrong with Amy? Why doesn't she just start acting like a normal person and not be rude to you? I don't get a good vibe from her, and I'm sorry if that's rude because she's your idol, but she seems a bit catty. Like is she mad that you're third chair or something?

    And how many rehearsals are you going to have every week? Clearly you had one yesterday, so is this a once-a-week kind of thing or is it all week? Unfortunately, I don't really know much about professional orchestras, or semi-professional ones. Sometimes I wish I hadn't quit the cello in high school. Then maybe we could be doing this together!

    You're incredible Syd, and I hope you know that. I'm so proud of how put-together you are and how many things you've been able to accomplish in so little time and at such a young age. You're so amazing and it's so impressive that you're able to do all of this on your own, out in the world.

    I love you and hope that everything works out well with the apartment and with the orchestra. I'll see your letter on Monday.
