"Hi there! My names Daniel, pronounced dan-yell. I hope you don't mind me talking to you, it's always lonely on the walk to school."
You casually walk to school but are suprised to see that their are police there. You had just moved here and they had no security in the country. It's a good thing you got a friend, for it would have been very lonely, you'll soon learn. You do not talk much for you feel it's easier.
"Hello officer!" she says in a cheery voice.
"Well hello again! Have a good summer, I'm guessin'?"
"Yep. Many YouTube videos and staying home all day! Livin' da life!"
The officer gave a hearty laugh and said "I'd do the same, but I caint! Got ta keep us safe, and if I don't who will?" Daniel gave home a nice grin and held her hand out for a fist bumb.
As he returned it and turned to face you.
"And who is this cutie? Looks a bit like me daughter, ya do." She turned to you as well.
"A new friend."
You feel as if your smiling when in reality you are just staring at them, not saying a word.
"She's a quiet one" he says "At least she won't interrupt class..." his voice trails off for a few seconds before returning to how it was before.
"Well I hope you are going to do well Daniel and..."
"F/N"
He brightens up a bit "Even sounds like me daughter. OK F/N I wish you luck in this school year. By what I've seen, it's a bigger pain than before, but yeh'll be fine, I'm sure."
He sends you off with a pat on the back. You notice he has firm hands and decide not to get on his bad side.
Daniel shows you to your first class, since you have the same schedule.
What a coincidence.
School. Time to see if it's better here then there.
