Phoenix

I can't be put down
I won't be put down
This burning desire within me can't be put out.

Dreams might seem far away, like a distant horizon
But I've got my sails so the game is still on

I might be battered, bruised, tattered and soiled
Yet I refuse to stand down

Fight is what I live for
That's something I can't let down

My smile is my weapon
Strength my shield
I perch on my courage
Snivelling, snorkelling to the depths of hell and back

I battle on, unafraid, unperturbed
Because I can't be put down
I won't be put down

The spirit that I carry
One that comes from within
One that I learnt from my Master
One that's named Martial Arts
One that's an ever burning Flame

I let it burn. Let it burn me

Till I scar and rise like a star
A phoenix bird, a Fighter
Who no one is on par.
