I climbed onto the rock. "Warriors of the clans! I must address you today with some important news. I have been asleep for two days speaking to StarClan. I know that they approve what I am about to say. TigerClan has destroyed our peace. They have taken us from our homes. Our warriors should but have to die in vain. We need to fight back!"

The clan looked doubtful. "Leafstar, Skywatcher clung to life so dearly, in fear that his clan would die with him. He let go knowing SkyClan would be left in good paws. Would you have just given up and let the rats kill your clan?"

"No," she replied.

"Tallstar, TigerClan has killed your deputy. Driven you out of the forest for yet the second time in your leadership. Would you let them get away with that?"

"No!"

"Graystripe, TigerClan has taken your kits away from you. They have killed your only apprentice and his sister, our dearest medicine cat. Will you let them get away with that?"

"Never!"

"Warriors of ThunderClan, WindClan, and SkyClan! TigerClan will pay for what they've done. We will go into battle as the warriors of LionClan!"

"LionClan! LionClan! LionClan!"

We stopped at the Moonstone. Tallstar spoke. "StarClan, share with us your wisdom and insight." We all touched the cold stone.

I awoke in a swirling pool of water. A sharp taste of salt filled my month. Teeth caught my scruff. Was StarClan pulling me away? Coughing, I looked up. I saw five cats in front of me.

"Brambleclaw?"

I was confused. I looked at my paws. They were brown! Squirrelpaw, Feathertail, Stormfur, Crowpaw, and Tawnypelt stood in front of me. I saw a badger leap in the corner of my eye.

"Midnight has come."

The dream shifted, and I stood next to Brakenfur.

"Your daughter is alright. You must lead the clans into battle. You will then find help. Afterwards, you must lead LionClan back to SkyClan territory. Your daughter will be waiting for you there."

"I won't let you down. Tigerstar will never get away with this, I promise."

"LionClan, attack!"

The battle was gruesome. The hollow was filled with screeching, fighting cats.

Tigerstar jumped on me. "I'm going to kill you, kittypet. I'm going to see the lights leave your eyes!"

At that moment, I bit down on his leg. While he was in shock, I was able to get away. We rolled around, until he eventually managed to pin me.

"Say hi to Bluestar for me." As he was about to serve the death blow, Darkstripe leaped on top of him. They struggled. After a while, Tigerclaw lay on the ground, dead.

The next thing I know, I'm greeted with more claws. They tear at my neck. "Why did you save me only to kill me again?"

"Tigerstar was weak. You took everything from me. I should be the one to see you dead at my feet!"

My vision blackened as he bit into my shoulder.

I decided to surprise him. He would want to see every life die away individually. I lay limp for a few moments. He loosens his grip, and I leap at him. "Never again." I sink my teeth in his neck. Forgive me, StarClan.

"LionClan, retreat!" I yell out.

I check my warriors. Graystripe is missing.
