I mash the buttons on the controller.

It was in the morning, but the sun wasn't too hot today.

I stare into the screen of the TV, letting out a frustrated grunt.

"You should take a break playing that, you've been trying to beat that boss for 6 times already!" Lloyd reminded.

It was true.

I've been attempting to beat this darn boss on a video game.

"You're probably right, Lloyd..." I sigh in defeat.

I put the controller on the table, and turned off the TV.

A knock was heard on the door.

"(Y/N)? Are you in there?"

It was father, I panic.

"Lloyd! Quick! Freeze!" I whisper to him.

He freezed and acted as if he was an inanimate object.

Dad opened the door, entering the room.

"(Y/N)? Is someone here?" he asked as he opened the door.

"N-no! Just a friend on the phone!"
I stutter.

Well, there was an awkward silence for a little while.

"Hmm... alright." He said.

"I'm going out to buy some groceries and do some errands. Stay on the house." He reminded.

He closed the door, and the footsteps grew farther.

"Phew, Lloyd,you can unfreeze now."
I told Lloyd.

"That was a close one."
"Agreed."

I put Lloyd in the shirt's pocket and went out my room's door.

The door had a note in it, saying "P.S, your little cousin is coming today."

Oh, him.

Max.

I hate him, but he's just a kid..

The tune of the doorbell rings throughout the house.

I peek through the little, hole that doors came with.

It's a woman with strawberry blonde hair, tan skin and a business outfit.

It's Auntie Olivia!

and Max... ugh..

I open the door.

"(Y/N)! Thank god you're here! My boss called in and the babysitter was-" She fastly said until I cut her off.

"It's fine, Aunt Olivia! I'll take care of him until you come back." I said to her.
"Oh thank you so much! I'll pay you after!"
"It's okay-" I was cut off when she bolted straight to her car and drove off.

Max went inside the house, sitting in the couch.

"Now Max, make yourself at home, I'll be in the shop for a little while, you can go to me if you need anything." I reminded Max.

I go to the shop, and didn't notice Lloyd falling out of my shirt's pocket.

Max might be 12, but he's smart.

Max P.O.V //

I reach the remote and open the TV.
I stopped when I saw something falling out of (Y/N)'s pocket.

It appeared to be... screaming?

I catch it before it reaches the floor.

It continued screaming.

"Aaaaahhhhhhh!.... .hhhhh..?" It stopped in confusion.

It's! .. uh.... I forgot..

"Whoa! Cool! A talking toy!" I say in excitement.

"Don't hurt me!" It utters in fear.

"Don't worry Mr. Lego man! I won't hurt you!" I say.

"Wait.. I'm hungry." I say.

"I WANT PIZZA!" I yell.

Lloyd P.O.V

"Jesus Christ!" Lloyd said.

"Kid, please stop yelling!" Lloyd said.

He turned to me and said "Hey friend! I'm really hungry for some pizza right now. Let's order pizza!"

"Pizza is okay, but I'm not your friend, kid."

"Darn! Can't you just let this slip for once like mom?!"

He's spoiled.

But I gave in, who can resist kids with puppy-dog eyes?!

"My name's Max!"

"Okay, my names Lloyd."

"Hello! I'd like to order some pizza!" Max said to the phone.

"I'll have the usual number 2 combo... family size."

"And a large soda please!" He trailed off.

"I'll use my free soda coupon!"

"Uh-huh... okay." He said.

"Uh.. Max..?" I ask nervously.

"What's up?" he replied.

"Do you even have any money?"

There was silence.

"I'm counting on you! Friend!" He declared.

"Heck no! I'm not paying." I yelled.

Why do I have to clean up your mess?

"Why are you suddenly flip-flopping!" He said.

"You said we were going to eat pizza together! True or false?" Max said.

"Not when I have to pay for it!" I said.

There was an awkward silence.

"What now?" I said.

"Let's just cancel it." Max said.

A doorbell's tune was heard.

Max opens the doorm

"Uh, pizza delivery. Here with your combo #2. Recommended by yours truly! Plus soda! I came here really fast didn't I? I totally blew your minds! Enjoy your pizza! Eat it while it's hot!" The delivery girl blabbered as she handed the pizza.

Max P.O.V

"I'm sorry to tell you this, Miss, but... we have no money.. so... you're going to have to take it back."

Miss delivery girl was confused.

"No no! You can have it! Don't be afraid!" She said.

"Huh? But we can't pay for it." I said.

"A girl at the shop already paid for everything." She said.

Max remembered (Y/N) saying "You moron! Stop living so irresponsibly!"

"You didn't know?" The delivery girl asked.

We took in the pizza and soda and thanked the delivery girl.

Me and Mister Lego-man, uh, I mean, Lloyd ate some pizza.

(How does a lego eat pizza?!)

"Max?" Lloyd asked.

"Hm?" I replied.

"Let's leave some for (Y/N)."
