I know that it's a bit late (because I read the deadline wrong so :p) and it might not still be acceptable, but I wanted to post it anyways.

So the "good side" is the one with dark brown hair and eyes and normal skin. She's holding a hibiscus flower, which symbolizes great strength and beauty. Her side of the tree is full of life with green leaves and flowers. There's also a background representing the night sky behind her because she can also be the "sky" and her dress is also themed like this. The idea of yin yang is that there is good and evil? But there is some dark in good and some light in evil.

How I represented this was through the items they're holding. The flower harbors life and hope, but can also bring sorrow when it wilts. The scepter can cause great damage, but is also capable of doing good.

Now, onto the "evil" side. Her skin is an unnatural white color which shows sickness and coldness. Her background looks like the idea of hell, which is so impossibly hot that it's painful. Her side of the tree is dead and decaying, with mushrooms (I tried to draw them) growing at the root.

Now you may be wondering why I chose the tree. I thought that it kinda joins light and dark. With its highest branches touching the light and it's deepest roots trapped in the dark underground.

And yeah, that's kinda it.
