To the pandava twins from our Abhijishya (SohiniModak8)...

I would like to write about the youngest Pandavas, Nakul and Sahadev.

When we speak about the Pandavs, people remember the righteousness of Dharamraj Yudhisthir, the strength of Vikrodar Bheem and the valour of Dhananjay Arjun. Even though their name is mentioned along with their distinguished brothers, the twins are often left in the background.

Nakul, the older twin, was said to be the most handsome man of Aryavart in the era of Mahabharata with a taste for aesthetics. But his character is not that superficial. He possessed great knowledge about horses and their breeding such that some believe he could talk to them. His skill in fencing and knife throwing was exceptional. Nakul understood that he had his own set of skills which were different from his more discussed brothers and he was self appreciative which is very important without being narcissistic.

Sahadev was very good in Astrology. He was honest to his profession as he told his predictions to Duryodhan despite being enemies. He was wise and good at axe fighting as well as fencing. Sahadev showed patience and wisdom in face of difficult situations. He bore the burden of being able to predict the future without breaking which takes a lot of mental strength.

They were much more than the plus two addition to the Pandavs people make out them to be. I admire them very much; their contribution in Mahabharata is undeniable and they deserve individual recognition.
