Message to Vikarna by Gold-unseen
To Vikarna,
A true warrior. Not because filled with power and pride, but as one of a true follower of Dharma.
When daughter of fire was dragged forcefully and was ordered to be unclothed in presence of the great warriors who were considered supreme and almost invincible, couldn't even budge and held their heads low at the disrespect shown towards their kulvadhu. You rose to question and stop mistreatment of your sister-in-law.
When Draupadi's respect, dignity and honour was held at stake, so was the women of Indian Society who also suffered from male domination. When Draupadi questioned everyone about their Dharma, no one answered but held their heads low with shame.
Everyone stayed silent, except you. You echoed her questions, only to be taunted.
"Sister-in-law’s insult is an affront to the entire Kuru clan. If her questions are not answered, our line is doomed."
Of course, you were then silenced by your brother, Duryodhan.
In one of the greatest yet unpleasant war, mahabharat. You stood and fought with your brother even knowing that pandavas were side of dharma because you said being with brother during his hardest time was your dharma. Safricing your life for your brother, you taught the world about duties of a brother.
Even with short appearance in the story, you taught me to never to be silent when something bad happens because being a silent spectator is also adharma.
P.S: Took a little reference from the sources
