She had always been a loved and adored classmate. But then Lila Rossi appeared and stole her friends. Her life. Her reputation. Her love. Why, even her best friend believed her lies. That Marinette told her deepest secret. She didn't believe that Lila overheard.

She was in the rain, soaked. No umbrella. No Adrien. In fact, his girlfriend was Lila. Even Chat moved on. In fact...Chat. He told Ladybug he quit her side. He was with hawkmoth now. Why? What'd I do to deserve this? She pondered soaking. She wanted to cry, but she was to broken to shed a tear. It had been a year since all this happened. A year since Chat left her side. Only a month however, since even her bff deserted her. She kept fighting. Winning. But at the same time, losing.

"Hey lady! You're in the middle of the road!" Yelled a man out his car.
"Sorry!" She replied. She didn't care if he killed her. Only that he didn't feel guilty.

She returned home and went to her bedroom. Tikki hovered worried. She had never seen Marinette in such bad condition. She was scared. Scared of what if she gave up? What would happen then? Handing her a cookie, Marinette finally spoke startling Tikki.

"I've decided."
"W-what do you mean Marinette?" Tikki asked trembling as she nervously as she ate the cookie she had been handed.
"I'm giving up. I don't care anymore. Why should I?" She replied.
"No don't Marinette!" Tikki yelled.
"I don't care. Tikki, spots on!" She cried before Tikki could react.

Racing from roof to roof, she called out.
"HAWKMOTH! CHAT NOIR! I'm giving up. Come get my miraculous and witness my downfall won't you?!?!"
Chats ears perked up. He didn't hate his lady. He just knew she'd never love him.

He gave up. At first, he would've shaken it off. But she kept rejecting him. Marinette told everyone Alyas secret. As far as he was concerned, he hated both girls. Besides, his father and him were going to revive his mother. He ran from roof to roof and reached the Eiffel Tower. Ladybug stood there. She quickly stood up, and took her yo-yo out.

He was about to prepare to fight knowing she would likely try to ambush. But she didn't attack. She threw her yo-yo away. He stood there, amazed. She was silent, before speaking after 5 minutes.

"May I say some words?"
