Walking along my long dark road home after leaving a friend's party due to it got out of hand. I could swear they were biting on necks and people looked like they were changing into something else. The leaves in the woods crunch and branches sway though there is no wind blowing but shadows appear and disappear as I watch, feeling a cold breeze.

People in this town think that I am crazy when I told them that I have seen shadows that zip around in the darkness. I had a man approach me about working for him at his business one night and I could have sworn I saw a glint of a white fang when he smiled at me. When I put the card down, there he is standing in front of me again looking at me with wild, red eyes.

Taking me by the hand he puts me in a car that I had not noticed behind me and takes me to his office where we enter a very dark building. Getting into the elevator, we go up the several floors before the doors ding open and he takes me to a huge office that has floor to ceiling windows in it. The moon beams through the glass and makes his complexion so much more charming. His face looks like it has been chiseled out of porcelain and his body is what every woman wants their man to look like. Tall, dark hair, muscular build and a voice that is as smooth as velvet.

He asks me if I had considered his offer to become a worker in his law firm as his personal assistant. I tell him that when I pulled his card out that I was thinking about calling him to ask him if it was still available. This time, when he approaches me, I see his white fang gleaming in the moonlight as bright as the sun. The only condition for me to become a worker here is that I must become one of them. I have to give up my human life and become a child of death. If I did, then one of my jobs would be to promote his services when they needed a lawyer.

I nod my head in agreement and then before I know it, he is on me sinking his fangs into my neck. I feel the coldness overcoming me as my change takes place. Now, I live in a world that I did not realize was mostly paranormal and work at his business with my new found life. I lived in the vampire world the entire time and due to it is a secret from humans, I never knew that I was correct. They can only change the ones who are willing to be changed.
