"I can fly," he said as I streached out, "Yes you can." I confirmed. "So can I come?" He asked giving me puppy dog eyes, I huffed, "Fine." I breathed. "YES!" He yelled leaping up, I smiled and stood heading for the bridge. Onyx followed still very excited, "Smokescreen you'd better come to," I said. He nodded and climbed onto Onyx's back, we sat awaiting the mission briefing. Bee came over and leaned against me waiting. Optimus came over, "We are going out to retrieve a relic. We must not let it fall into enemy hands." He announced. I stood and Bee climbed onto my back. The ground bridge wurred to life, me, Onyx, Smokescreen, Bee, and Optimus ran through. The other side was a cave entrance, I sniffed the ground. "They beat us here," I said my spikes raising. "Then we hold our ground here, and await their return." Optimus said. "Couldn't they just ground bridge out?" Onyx asked me, "under normal circumstances yes, but this cave leads deep under ground. They wouldn't be able to get a lock on their beloved leader and his cohorts. Heck they can't even get a com signal." I said. I was feeling pretty excited, I hadn't been on a mission in close to a year. My tail swayed in anticipation, my gaze remained locked on the mouth of the cave. We waited for what seemed like a while although I have no idea how long it really was. The first thing we heard was the pounding of peds against the stone floor of the cavern. I braced for Predaking and Ser-ket to charge out at me, but I was not expecting what did come. Three predacons tackled me to the ground, slashing and biting at my armor and plating. What concerned me was that Predaking wasn't one of them. Project predacon had continued and there were at least 2 new preds I had to deal with. The others were pummeled with blaster fire. I managed to throw one of them off, he seemed to have a head similar to that of a bird's. I slammed my tail into Ser-ket seeding her into the cave. I stood knocking the third one off, I hooked my horn into his plating and tossed him. Predaking charged in to me, taking me by surprise knocking me to the ground. I rebounded an stood before rear kicking him like a donkey. Two of the three other preds were back attempting to rip my armor off. "Rrrrr! I'm out numbered!" I roared. I roared as one of the predacons managed to rip some of my plating loose. Onyx was assisting Bee and Smokescreen who were taking out the vehicons. Optimus was going head to head with Megatron. I felt fire light in my chest, seconds before flame erupted from my mouth. It made the predacons back off for a moment, Ser-ket and her new friends circled me while Predaking watched. I growled letting the flame light the ground. "So Jaws not so powerful are you?" Predaking asked taunting me, "Stronger than you, if that's what you mean." I said. He did not like my answer, "You're no longer a threat, Jaws." I turned my gaze to him wondering what he meant. "These predacons are only a small fragment of my true army," my ears lowered. No. This was a huge problem, it wasn't that I hadn't assumed this would happen it's just that I hadn't found a solution. Well that wasn't entirely true, I had one option but it was a long shot. One of the predacons circling me attempted to attack. I struck imedetily knocking him away Ser-ket and the other lept in at the same time but I threw them back by speeding my wings at the right time. "Optimus I can't take much more of this we gotta get the relic and go!" I barked in his direction before returning to my combat. I was tripped up and the preds took the advantage immediately leaping onto me keeping me down. They ripped armor and plating slashing and breathing flame a few times. When I looked up another predacon had joined them. "Where the frag did he even come from?" I growled. My optics set on Onyx, he was standing infront of Predaking. Predaking charged him easily knocking him to his back before biting at his neck. I felt the pull, my pupils thinned before I shut my optics. I took a breath and exploded from beneath my attackers throwing them off. I charged Predaking knocking him off Onyx. My fangs sunk into his plating, I threw him into two of the other predacons. "Get Onyx back to base!" I ordered Smokescreen, he nodded and helped Onyx stand. "Optimus you guys need to get out of here," I told him noticing he was holding some weird capsule. He nodded, "Com ratchet when you are clear." He replied already knowing I would need to deal with the preds. I turned back to the pack 4 predacons led by Predaking. I heard the ground bridge close, they were safe. I growled raising my tail. In seconds we charged one another the pack came at me. I lept up spreading my wings and gaining altitude immediately. The others followed, once I reached a desirable altitude I dropped into a dive directed at the oncoming attack. I struck Predaking first head on, knocking him out of the sky. I hit Ser-ket next his faithful second in command. She was cought off guard by my upfront attack but didn't get all the way to the ground before catching herself. I took out the other few with strikes from my head tail or wings. I tapped my com, "Ratchet now!" I said. A blue and green portal opened infront of me. I slipped through, the majority of Predaking's small pack was picking themselves up from the ground. I landed in the base as Ratchet closed the ground bridge. I dropped to the ground immediately I thought it was mostly from exhaustion then I felt the pain from my wounds. "Ow," was all I said attempting to stand, Bee rushed over to me helping me stand. Which was pretty difficult given our size difference. I made it into the med bay, and spotted Onyx being patched up, Smokescreen at his side. Ratchet got to work on me stopping my leaking first then repairing my plating. Bee stayed with me all the while. Optimus approched me, I could tell he was thinking the same thing I was, "What can be done about Predaking's new pack?" He asked. I sat up groaning quietly, I was still sore. "I've been giving it quiet some thought since Ser-ket showed up, and I might have a solution." I replied
