Sunayn's POV:

I was in the hospital till the late evening. I was given food to eat. After finishing I went to Nainika's room. There were guards including Raju. They tried to stop me but Raju allowed me saying not to disturb her much. I nodded and entered in her room.
She was having a bandage around her head and her hand was tied with a bandage as well. She was sleeping peacefully. There was also fingerprints on her cheeks. I assumed it was those kidnappers who did that. I fisted my hand wanting to kill them all at once but I controlled myself.
I placed my hand on her left hand which was free from any injuries and held it lightly not wanting to disturb her.
" Hi Nainika. I am... I am here to apologise for not helping you in right time. I do.. do not know how to explain you how I felt when you were taken away by them but I am really sorry for not stopping them from taking you. I couldn't...imagine how you might have felt but I feel shameless. I am an army officer. I was not able to save you from few people then I am not understanding how I will save my country. I failed. I failed you Nainika and I am sorry for that " I said while tears left my eyes and I kissed her hand which was in mine.
There was a slight movement in her hand and she stirred from her sleep. I looked at her if I woke her up. She opened her eyes and looked at me.
" I didn't want to disturb you. Sorry Nainika please close your eyes. Take rest. I will leave now " saying so I got up but she held my hand asking me to stop.
I sat again and she looked at me with tired eyes.
" You do not have to apologise to me Sunayn. Its not your fault in the first place " she said and I shook my head.
" No its definitely my fault. I was told not to disturb you but here I disturbed you " I said feeling more remorseful of my action.
" I am not talking about that. Me being kidnapped is not your mistake. If not for you then they would have gotten other ways to reach me. I am safe now and that is all matters " she said calmly and I looked at her face again.
At this moment she looked like the most beautiful woman in the world to me. I can keep looking at her for my whole life.
" Nainika I need to tell you something " I hesitated.
" You do not have to ask for permission " she said still looking at me curiously.
" I love you " I said without a doubt and she was taken aback with my words.
" What are you saying? You cannot love me. You might be saying this to make me feel good or whatever the reason but you are wrong. Just leave from here Sunayn " she said looking away from me and also left my hand.
" Why can't I love you? " I asked straightforward.
" I said you can't love me. Okay. This is all just attraction and I don't want you to spoil your future coz of me. Just get away from me " she said again.
" I am not going to go and I am certain you do love me " I said.
" You are dumb if you think so but you cannot love me " she said with finality.
" Okay I agree. I cannot love you but I can love the person who wrote me letters. The person who supported me everytime during my training. The person who made me feel special about myself. The person who loves me more than anything in the world. Can I not Nainika? " I looked at her who snapped her head towards me with shock while hearing my words.
" Wh..what are you talking about? I don't...know anyone about...whom you are..talking...and why are telling me this? " She stuttered while saying and I was sure she was regretting for stirring my feelings in the first place.
" Really? Now do you really think I am that dumb? " I asked standing up and I could see her sweating. Her free hand was holding the sheet tightly while I was looking at her carelessly.
" I don't know anything about what you are saying. Just leave from here " she said with confidence this time but I can bet she mustered her whole energy to say that sentence.
" Okay then. If you really want me to leave, then I will. But remember I will come back again until you accept the truth that you love me as well " I said determinedly. I saw her getting relaxed a bit but she got nervous as soon as she saw me going near her.
" I got discharged and I will be leaving now. I think you will be discharged tomorrow most probably. Take rest and don't stress over what I said. Now that you know everything about me and I know about you we do not have to worry about getting disclosed. We do not have to act and can be real. So for now take rest. I will come tomorrow then we can talk " I said and placed my lips on her forehead. She shuddered but kept her eyes closed.
" Bye Nainika. See you soon " I said but she did not reply. Her eyes are sealed but I can see her lids moving. She is just acting to make me leave from there.
I came out of room and talked for a while with Raju and left to home. Mom and dad inspected me for any injuries but I said it was a very mild accident and they don't have to worry. With that I marched towards my room and plopped on my bed.
I was thinking about Nainika and her expressions when I said those three words. I chuckled and slept with contentment.

Nainika's POV:

How in the world he got to know about me? Except me no other soul knew about it except for uncle(Sukhwinder) who will not share with anyone. I trust him.
Then how did he find out?
When he said he knew about the person who wrote him letters my breath hitched. I cannot look at him and talk.
Now I understood why he was so comfortable with me and flirted with me without any worry. How foolish I was to think he will not find me.
I should have avoided him or ignored him but now that he knew about me I cannot do that.
Argh!! I groaned in frustration and immediately Raju came in with worry.
" Ma'am is everything alright? Do you need anything? " He asked.
" Can you call the nurse? I need to go to restroom and this insertion is not allowing me " I said showing towards the saline. He nodded and went away.
A nurse came within few minutes and guided me. She asked to help me but I denied politely as I am capable of doing my business.
It was quite difficult as my one hand is in pain but still I managed and splashed little water on my face. I want to forget what happened earlier but I couldn't. It kept repeating giving me goosebumps.
After sometime I laid in bed to rest but I gave up after sometime.
Next morning Mr Shahi walked in with worry all over his face. He enquired everything from Raju and sighed in relief.
" Thank God everything is fine now " he said with a small smile. Later I was checked by the doctor and he prescribed me few medications and discharged me. Mr Shahi took care of the bills and we sat in car to go home.
Raju gave me my phone and I checked to see few messages from Ranjith and Sunayn as well. I was in no mood to check any so I just shut it off and sighed.
When I reached home yashoda aunty took me to room and gave me food to eat and also the medications. I don't want this to know bhayya so I said not to inform him and Shahi uncle nodded understanding my concerns.
It was night and yashoda aunty cooked me dinner and left asking if I needed anything. I said I could manage and she left.
I sat on the sofa and switched on TV. I was just changing channels not really paying attention. I remember how we both sat here and saw movie that day. I couldn't wipe away that memory.
My phone rang it was him. I cannot ignore him now that he knows everything.
" Hello " I said slowly not really showing any interest.
" Have you had your dinner? " He asked. I want to feel happy for his concern but I cannot do that.
" Not yet " I replied.
" It's better if you eat, take medicines and rest " he said.
" Okay " I replied in a word again.
" Why so grumpy? " He asked and I just rolled my eyes.
" Nothing like that. I need to rest " I said and disconnected the call without hearing him.
As said I had dinner and slept after taking medicine. I woke up when someone knocked on the door. I saw the time and was shocked. I overslept. After sighing heavily I opened the door and allowed aunty inside and I went inside to fresh up. It was tough to fresh up as I should not allow it to wet. Somehow I managed to cleanup and went out to see my breakfast being served. I had it and was about to go out when aunty stopped me.
" Where are you going child? " She asked.
" To the office " I said casually.
" Sir asked me not to allow you to office until you are fine. And if there is anything important he will come here. So you go and rest " she said. I know it is unnecessary to debate with her coz eventually Mr Shahi will call me and talk to me as if I am kid. I dont like that so I just sat on sofa when the door bell rang.
" How are you doing Naina? " Asked Sukhwinder uncle as soon as I opened the door. We talked for sometime and then came Shahi with a file in his hand. Both the men talked for few minutes.
" Now you do not have to worry about anything my child. I got him and he will never bother you. Just take enough rest and get well soon " with that he was about to go but turned again.
" And by the way I met him. I must say he is just amazing " he winked at me making me blush while Mr Shahi stood unknown.
" Please sign in this file " he said and I checked the file and signed in it and handed over to him.
" There are no much important meetings for a few days so don't worry about anything and take care " he said and I just nodded.
" Is there anything I should know? " He asked curiously for the encounter before with uncle but I shook my head indicating there's nothing.
" Hmm. If you do not want to disclose then fine. I will know somehow " he said and left from there.
The day went by with me sleeping and watching TV for sometime. I got bored and started reading a book that was in  the shelf and I got engrossed in it.
During evening there was a knock on the door. I was confused as I expected no visitors coz expected people came in the morning itself.
" Good to see you and here these are for you " Sunayn said while extending a bouquet towards me. I want to just close the door and sit with my book but now I cannot do that after seeing the bouquet he brought for me.
" Thank you " I said and took it. I allowed him to enter but I was feeling very nervous. I don't know what he will talk or do but it seemed as if we are alone in this world.
I went into the kitchen and brought coffee for the both of us after sometime.
He took the mug with a smile.
" You do not have to do it with the condition you are in " he said showing my hand.
" Not a problem I am feeling much better now " I said and started having coffee.
" Umm.. I want to know more about you " he said and the ground under my feet disappeared.

This is it for this chapter. I want to add some romance for the upcoming chapters(I am not sure which chapter though). There still are few things which need to be concluded so it will take time to start their chemistry.
I would keep it short though.
