Nainika's POV:

Days turned into weeks and weeks to months and months to years. But the emptiness in my life is still there which needed to be filled with certain someone.
Someone very special..
Very close to my heart..
Always on my mind..
Sometimes it feels it would have been easy if I had told him that it was me who sent him letters and how much I love him. But then I don't want to get upset getting rejected. I know he has great looks and well built body. He expects a girl who will match his personality and looks not me who is very normal and shy. That was me when I was in college but I don't know now coz I can't judge myself right?
Now can I?
I was so immersed in my thoughts that I zoned out while conversing with Seema.
" Ma'am are you alright? Did I say anything wrong? " She asked looking tensed. I sighed heavily and rubbed my temple trying to calm down my thoughts.
" Seema there's nothing wrong. Can we discuss about this project later I am a bit disturbed now " I said while still rubbing my temple and held my forehead in my hand. She nodded simply and walked away.
" I will send you a coffee ma'am maybe that will make you feel at ease " she said before leaving to which I nodded and smiled. She really cares for me. I had known her for three years now and she knows when I need space. She respects my opinions and always helped me out in everything without any complaint. She divorced her husband an year ago and lives in an apartment opposite mine. She visits her parents during weekends and living happily. There was a time when she was depressed and could not focus on work. All thanks to her husband. Sorry ex husband who mentally abused her. She tried to improve her relationship with him but nothing worked out. She finally divorced him. There had been many people who criticized her for separating from her husband but she stood still regarding her decision and now leading a happy life. She is not only my PA but also a friend to me. She shares everything with me. She considers me as her sister and always cared for me. Now that I am upset she understood it and left me alone.
I got busy after a coffee and now was heading home when I got a call from a person which made me really happy.
" Hey how are you? " I said as soon as I picked the call.
" I was fine until yesterday but after that I am upset and angry with you " the person replied and I could hear some shuffling.
" Aww sorry Vinni. I know I am responsible for your anger but try to understand. I was really busy with my upcoming project. There was a meeting and a deal... " I was about to say when he dismissed my words
" Yeah yeah I already know that. I shouldn't have invited you actually. You are always busy and don't really have time to attend. I am just forcing you to do something which is impossible right? " Vinni said and I clearly understood how angry he is with me.
" I am really sorry Vinni. I didn't mean to miss it but work was important and I couldn't depend on others. Trust me I honestly tried to make time but couldn't. I am sorry " I said and I already had tears brimming in my eyes. He sighed heavily and there was a pause before he answered the call.
" Are you planning to attend the wedding at the least? " he asked and I smiled.
" Of course I will not miss this time I promise. And I am sorry again. Don't be mad at me okay " I said feeling little disturbed about his mood.
" It's alright but everyone missed you " he said and I suppressed my laugh at his words. There will be definitely none who would miss me except him.
" Don't lie to my face Vinni. I know no one bothered about my presence except for you. I don't think they even took my name for once " I said to which he sighed again.
" It's not like you think. Don't ever say like that. Your presence is important not for everyone but for me. You being here is what I wanted. I missed you Naina " he said with heavy emotion. I couldn't control my upcoming tears so I said goodbye after promising that I will attend the wedding no matter what.
You might be misunderstanding that it's Vinni's wedding I am talking about but no it's his sister Bhanu's wedding I am discussing. She is the only daughter and the most loved among the family. Vinni is also only son but she was pampered more coz there are basically no girls in their family except her. She is very cute and bubbly girl with lot of energy and confidence. But I don't know the reason for her distance from me. From childhood I tried my best to be her friend but she always avoided me. But Vinni was always by my side. She never talked to me properly or stood with me. I am still confused with her strange behaviour towards me.
I pushed away all my thoughts aside and made my way to home and collapsed on bed after having dinner.
The next day I went to my cabin and was invited by Seema who was cross checking the files placed on the table and greeted me warmly when she saw me coming.
" Good morning Ma'am. How are you? " She said with a smile
" Very good morning to you too and I am good and seems like you are very energetic and happy today " I said to which she nodded her head enthusiastically.
" Ofcourse ma'am I am very much happy today. Our team had finally selected few people for the interview and were called yesterday and positively it went well. As you said they are young people with brilliant ideas and plans. I hope you like them too. I placed all the details about them here and also the tests they had put forth to them. I am sure you will take a look at them " she said without a pause and I am finally happy that there was a good response to the advertisement.
" Yeah I would love to take a look at them and by any chance are they here today or given a particular date of joining? " I asked her while taking the file placed in front of me.
" I am not sure about that ma'am but I will call the HR department and let you know " she said thoughtfully and I nodded. She left the cabin probably to make a confirmation regarding the joining while I was busy looking at the details.
Thankfully the people they selected are really good and also there ideas seems to be refreshing and eye catching. I got a call from Seema where she informed me that the selected ones were sent an email about the confirmation of joining and will be here till afternoon for submitting the required documents.
" Yeah that's fine and when they come here tell them to meet me once before leaving so that I can talk to them for a while and make sure that they are available for immediate joining not till the end of the month " I said.
" Sure ma'am I will do that and there is a meeting with the Negi's today at 11am. I sent you the details last week itself I hope you had a look over it " she said over the call.
" Yes I did check them and I will be there at the meeting. Thanks for reminding " I said and continued with my work.
I took my notepad and wrote the important things and closed it. I have a habit of noting few things in written form in my notepad. If I get confused with few things I just write them down in my notes and they are safe there. I am just too overloaded with work sometimes so I do that😉
It was already time for the meeting and Seema rushed in reminding me and had a tensed face. I don't know what's bothering her but I pushed it away and headed towards the conference room. As expected everyone were on time and Mr Negi started with his presentation. I was little curious about this young man who claims to be the owner of the company coz everytime it was and elderly man who would give presentations.
" Good morning to one and all and I am Mr Chandu Negi, son of Mr Arya Negi. Today I am going to present you the details regarding the design. I am really happy to be a part of the.... "  he started off and then I understood who he was. He was giving his presentation boldly and it was not settling with me properly. It was really a boring and old design he was showing which did not have any new idea or propaganda. I thought better of it when I saw him but his ideas and skills are poor🤦
" That's it about the design and I hope you all liked the plan. Thank you for having me here guys " he ended his presentation with a smile which was quite fake if I say. He sat in his position and everyone started discussing about it and he was looking bored about the whole scenario. I cleared my throat and everyone was paying attention to me.
" Thank you Mr Negi for your presentation. It was nice meeting you and congratulations. Coming to the plan and designing I didn't like it a bit. The space which should be used purposefully is being kept unused and the place which needed to be kept open is being used unnecessarily. There was nothing new in your design and I might say if we do as you planned it will be very messy and uncomfortable. The clients would not like it if it is like that. I expected much from you as you are new and a talented man. I apologise but I need another design and you might take time to present another one within a week or so " I said and looked at him who was throwing daggers at me.
" What? Are you saying that my design is boring and improper? You know there are people who are waiting for me to give them designs for months together and here I gave you such an awesome design and you are rejecting it on my face. I don't understand what you expect me to do even after presenting such a masterpiece " he said angrily standing up from his chair and I raised my eyebrow knowing very well where this is going. He is not like his father who is gentle and always understanding. He is quite opposite who can't take rejection. He seems to lose his temper no matter where and what the situation is.
" To be honest I did not reject your design Mr Negi but I said I did not like it and needed another one so that we could discuss about it. You completely misunderstood it and it is completely alright if you give this design to people who have been waiting for your design for months. I am sorry again but I couldn't take it. Now it's your wish to cancel the deal or take time and present another design " I said shrugging my shoulders and coolly started looking throught the file which was in my hand. He sighed heavily and excused himself and left the room.
" Was this the reason for tension before the meeting? " I asked Seema and she nodded.
" Yes ma'am I have heard about him and everyone says he is very tough and never takes a no as an answer. His father should always tame him for everything or else he would always create nuisance in office " she said and in the mean time he appeared and stood in front of everyone.
" Ms Gupta I will take some time and inform you about the design coz now I have an important thing to deal with. Sorry for the inconvenience and I hope to meet you all again " he said in a strained voice and took his leave. I just went back to my cabin and Seema came behind me as well.
" Seema I think we should strengthen our designing department as soon as possible. I don't think we can trust anyone with this if this continues for long time. Construction side is always perfect coz Mr Shahi is taking care of it but I should take some interest in designing as well to make it possible. And by the way when is Mr Shahi going to come. Its been a while since I saw him " I said and I can say stress is making me more weak these days.
" He's busy planning for his daughter's wedding ma'am and he had actually sent an invitation today morning to everyone in the office. He called me an hour ago but we were in the meeting " she said.
" Hmm I think we should attend the wedding for sure or else that old man is going to kill us with his bare eyes " I said to which Seema giggled like a little girl and nodded saying 'yes'.
" By the way when is the wedding and where's the card? " I asked and searched. Seema handed me the card and I started reading it and my eyes came out of my sockets when I saw the name of the bride.

So yeah this is for today...
Who might be the bride here? I mean Mr Shahi's daughter.
