Jessie had been placed on a pillow and Ben was holding the pillow on his lap, with his hands around her. She had been trashing around and he was afraid that she would fall of.
Suzie was about to come and check on Jessie again so Ben carefully lifted Jessie into his cupped hands. Suzie knocked and came in.

Su: How is she?
B: She trashes around sometimes. I have had to hold her down a few times.
As if on cue Jessie started mowning and threw her arms around. Ben gentley pinched her arms to her sides.
Su: It's the fever, caused by the lack of nutrition. The next 24h are crucial.
B: Dammit, I hate to see her like this! She has sufferd enough.
Su: I know, sweetie. If you need us, we will be upstairs in the spareroom.
B: Thanks!
After about 4 more houres of Jessie tossing and turning, she finally calmed down and fell into a dreamless sleep.
Ben picked Jessie up, laid himself down, placed her upon his chest and covered her gently with his hand.
A few minutes later Ben was also asleep.
