Coronation Day
Actress: Naya Rivera
"HEY, SIS!" Aquarius pounded on Scorpio's door.
Scorpio angrily opened the door. She was obviously tired, her dark hair frizzier than usual and had dark circles under her eyes. "What do you want?"
"There's a soldier here from Commetes, he says he brings a message," Aquarius informed her.
"And you couldn't have told me that without shouting through the door?" Scorpio inquired.
"I mean I could've, but what type of brother would I be then?" Aquarius shrugged in return.
"Tell this soldier he will have to wait. I must get ready to be queen." Scorpio steppes back into her room before being stopped by her brother.
"He says it's urgent. He says it could be the end of Pax Universum," Aquarius warned.
Scorpio huffed and went to change into something more ladylike. Pax Universum, what Aquarius had mentioned, was a state of peace between all three kingdoms. The three kingdoms made a treaty against attacking one another. Commetes and Solis were not keen of breaking this treaty. Flammae, on the other hand, had other plans.
Scorpio aggressively opened the door to reveal her in a pink dress, matching heels, and her hair tamed down. "This better be important, baby bro."
"We're only a year a part," Aquarius reminded her.
"Best year of my life," grumbled Scorpio, leaving Aquarius looking slightly offended.
The two kept walking until they reached the throne room, where they each sat down in their respective throne. Scorpio's was much larger, since it represented her being ruler. Aquarius' was smaller and on her right. A soldier bowed before the two thrones.
"State your name." Scorpio demanded.
"Capricorn Copernicus, your majesty," Capricorn bowed again.
"And what is this important business?" Scorpio snapped at him.
"A message. My soldiers and I got wind that the kingdom of Flammae we're collecting the eldest children of their household to fight in a war. To discuss this, we invite you to a dinner party tomorrow night. You may stay however many nights you wish, your majesty," Capricorn informed her.
Scorpio furrowed her eyebrows and glanced at her brother, who had a look of absolute horror written across his face. She couldn't blame him. What type of psychopath would force children to fight in a war? Scorpio looked back down at the soldier.
"May I take whomever I wish?" Scorpio questioned.
"Yes, your majesty," Capricorn promised.
Scorpio had a slight smile. "In that case, I accept. Aquarius, we're going to a dinner party. Pack your stuff. And wear something nice."
Scorpio thought for another minute. Should she bring Cancer, her friend? No, Cancer should watch over the kingdom while they are gone. They still would need protection though. Leona Solis would be the best protection she could get.
"I will also bring Leona," Scorpio announced. "For our protection. Aquarius, please inform her of this."
Aquarius nodded and hopped off the throne. He ran through the palace halls to find Leona. Scorpio glanced back down at Capricorn.
"Will you be staying for the coronation?" Scorpio asked him.
"I believe I will be meeting the Queen and King of Commetes there," Capricorn nodded.
"In that case, please feel free to roam castle grounds or nearby villages while we set up," Scorpio told him. "Thank you for your service."
"Anytime, your royal highness," Capricorn winked at her and departed.
Scorpio stared and watched the boy leave the room. She sighed and muttered something about yellow and food and got down from her throne. She was going to be queen. She always knew she would end up wearing the crown, but she had hoped the day would not be so near. She was barely seventeen and taking the burden of a kingdom. Most seventeen-year-olds would be trying to find a job. Scorpio wandered the halls in search of her friend, Cancer. Cancer was Scorpio's only true friend. Cancer didn't like Scorpio because she would soon be queen, Scorpio knew Cancer liked her for herself.
"Cancer, where are you?" Scorpio called through the halls. She found Cancer's room and knocked on the door. "Cancer, are you in there?"
Cancer opened the door, her hair a rat's nest. She had bags under her eyes and looked exhausted. "Hey, Scorpio. What're you doing up this early?"
"There was a messenger who gave me a message about the possible end of Pax Universum." Scorpio shrugged and Cancer's eyes widened. "Speaking of, I have to go away for a night and I'm taking Aqua and Leo. Would you mind staying here to make sure everything goes smoothly?"
"Of course. I'm not much of a traveler anyways. I prefer to sleep in my own bed. Speaking of..." Cancer mindlessly walked back towards her bed and collapsed onto it. "If we aren't doing anything today I would like to sleep."
Scorpio stifled a laugh. "It's coronation day."
Cancer tumbled off of the bed and landed on her back. She had a dead look in her eyes. "Can't coronation day wait until I'm awake?"
"You are awake," Scorpio reminded her. Scorpio gave her a smile.
"I don't like it." Cancer frowned.
Scorpio helped her friend up and sat her down on the bed. "We have to get ready."
"Maybe another time," Cancer groaned.
Scorpio laughed and opened Cancer's closet. She took out a lovely blue dress and laid it on the bed. "C'mon, you've gotta get up. I've already got your dress out."
Cancer sat up with a groan. "Give me twenty minutes."

"Leo! Hey!" Aquarius ran up to her.
Leo was training in her heavy knights armor. She whipped around, her sword nearly touching Aquarius' neck. Aquarius froze in surprise and gave her an awkward smile. Leo relaxed when she saw it was him and sheathed her sword.
"You're on a bit on edge, aren't ya?" Aquarius smirked at her, stepping back slightly.
"I was training. I'm supposed to be on edge," Leo informed him. "Do you need something, your highness? I'm not keen on going to the book store."
"Well, it's actually a more serious matter. You will accompany Scorpio and I to the kingdom of Commetes as our sole protector while we discuss important matters," Aquarius informed her.
"I will pack my things." Leo started to clean up the training area.
Aquarius turned around before once again facing Leo. "Right! Be sure to be ready for coronation today."
Leo nodded at him. "Of course, your highness."
Aquarius nodded and ran to get dressed. It was coronation day and his sister would kill him if he didn't look good. Their mother had always told them that looks are important. It shows that you care. It says a lot about you. And Aquarius knew Scorpio took that advice to heart.
Aquarius wanted to make his sisters day perfect, so he decided to wear his best robes. They were pink, a color which most men in the kingdoms hated, but Aquarius quite liked it. It looked good on him. And so, Aquarius put in his robes, making him look rather royal. He adjusted the crown on his head. In a few more hours, his sister would be Queen. In a few more hours, his father would finally Rest In Peace.

Coronation time. Scorpio stood inside as her subjects all waited out of her balcony. She nervously tried breathing exercises. Cancer stood by her side, calming her down. A million thoughts ran buck wild through Scorpio's head.
What if I'm not ready to be Queen? What if I screw it all up? Maybe Aqua would be better suited for this. Maybe I'll be known as Scorpio the terrible. Maybe...
"Scorpio, I promise you that you'll be okay," Cancer assured her. Cancer took her hand. "Why don't we listen to your brother's speech?"
"Yes, that is a good idea," Scorpio numbly nodded.
Aquarius had volunteered to make a speech introducing his sister to the world. Or at least their small corner of it. He wanted to make sure that everyone loved her. He knew she was the right choice for Queen. Leo stood by his side in case of any trouble.
"Hello, everyone of Solis," he announced. The crowd fell silent. All eyes were on him. "Thank you for coming to my sister's coronation. As you may know, my name is Prince Aquarius Astris of Solis. During the last few weeks we have been mourning my father, our former king, King Draquonis. Our mother died many years ago. They shall always be remembered. Whether that memory is good or bad, I shall let you decide.
"But it is now time for my sister, Princess Scorpio Astris of Solis to become Queen Scorpio Astris of Solis. I believe she will be a good queen. She has always been incredibly clever, incredibly wise, and incredibly level headed. She is one of the greatest girls I've ever met, and not just because she's my sister. My sister is the type of person to believe in someone when they can't believe in themselves. That's why I believe in her. Because she'll believe in me and she'll believe in all of you."
The subjects cheered as the doors flew open revealing Scorpio in her satin yellow dress and curled hair drawn back. Cancer walked behind her in her blue dress, the front of her hair tied back. The coroner held a crown above her head.
"I declare you, Scorpio Astris, upon this day Queen of the Kingdom Solis." The coroner placed the crown on her head. "Please bow before your new Queen."
The subjects bowed before her while Scorpio stood tall on the balcony. She waved at her audience respectfully, showing a bright smile. "Thank you all! Please, enjoy the festivities."
The crowd cheered once more as all on the balcony reentered the castle. Waiting was King Cepheus of Flammae, with his daughter Princess Libra. Along with them was Queen Andromeda and King Draco, with their children Prince Pisces and Princess Nebula. Next to them was the soldier Capricorn.
All of them immediately bowed to each other. Scorpio looked up and smiled at them.
"Thank you all for attending my coronation, I'm sure you all must've been very busy," Scorpio curtsied.
"It was wonderful, Scorpio. And I deeply apologize for the death of your father. I can only imagine what that may have felt like," Andromeda said in a motherly tone.
"Thank you, your majesty," Scorpio told her.
"Now, now," Andromeda smiled at her and said, "you don't have to call me that. Andromeda will do nicely."
Scorpio nodded. "Of course, Andromeda."
Aquarius walked up to Pisces and Nebula. "It's great to see you, Pisces. And Nebula of course." He then turned to Libra. "And you're as lovely as ever, I see."
Libra hung by her fathers side unhappily. But she did flash him a smile. "You look nice, Aquarius. Pinks a flattering color on you."
Aquarius beamed. "It is, isn't it? I was afraid I was going to be too bright and upstage my sister, but then I saw her dress and realized she would upstage me, which is fine. It's her coronation. So I was worried about it for a bit, but then it suited me and the event."
"It does. How've you been, Aqua?" Pisces asked. Since neither would be king, they had learned to stick by each other fast when the first met.
"I've been better, but it's getting better," Aquarius assured him.
"That's good to hear. Have you read the new Trails of Apollo book?" Nebula cut in.
"It's great, isn't it? But I cried. Oh, I cried," Aquarius mentioned.
"Me too." Nebula agreed.
Leona stood at the side of the room, eyeing everyone carefully. Capricorn stood a distance away from her, as he decided that Leo was scary. And most would agree that he is not wrong.
"Your highness," Leo cut in, her eyes like daggers, "I believe it is time to greet your subjects."
"Leona is right, Scorpio. To be a good Queen is to socialize with your people," Cancer told her. "Your mother once told me that."
Scorpio nodded. "It was so nice to see you all again, and I hope we meet again soon." Scorpio left the room to go greet her people.
"You too, Prince Aquarius," Leona informed him, making him scowl.
"I'm not queen. Can't Cancer take my place?" Aquarius groaned.
"No." Leo said sharply.
"But-"
"You're going," Leona insisted.
Aquarius sighed. "It was nice seeing you all again. We can catch up soon, promise." Aquarius sauntered our the door with charisma. Leo followed.
"I was right. She's scary," Capricorn muttered, causing Pisces to stifle a laugh.
