25 year old Miles Morales is a retired superhero.

He no longer dones the Spider-Man name. He passed that down a long time ago, just like the late great Peter Parker did for him.

Now he lives in New Jersey with his wife of three years, Kamala Morales, who also retired from her superhero life, and their son, an inhuman who has yet to go through his terrigenesis.

When he quit his career as Spider-man for the second time, the Champions had been officially disbanded. Miles was also nearly 20, fresh out of college and ready to start a life for himself. Although S.H.I.E.L.D. offered him a full time position as an undercover agent like his father, Miles turned down their offer. When he said he quit this superhero life for good, he meant it. He had the rest of his life to live like a normal person, so that's exactly what he did.

Now, Miles works as a Police Detective for the N.J.S.P. (The New Jersey State Police). He got the idea of working as a cop so he could still be a local hero. He also wanted to be a detective because of his other hero, Batman. He knows the dangers of being an afro-latino in this line of work, but he already risked that position when his skin color was revealed to the world after his spidey costume ripped. But his race would not stop him from achieving what he wanted to do.

He serves as an inspiration to his community as well as a hero in his neighborhood. Miles always wanted to serve as an symbol for kids like him, that even looked like him while he was growing up. Now he can finally achieve this without wearing a mask.

Miles was one of the lucky ones. Not everyone got to live a normal life after being a superhero for so long. He's just glad he could spend part of his life serving and protecting the people as an Avenger, a Champion and of course, as Spider-man.

But from now on, for the first time in a long time, Miles gets to choose where his life goes from here.
