12. Bloody Glass
JUNGKOOK'S POV
The meeting was finally over and I headed back to my office. I didn't wanted to go back after what had happened in the morning, but could I say 'no'? I got out of the car and walked my way into the building. After going into two lifts, I finally reached the 13th floor. So exhausting! Why couldn't father just create one lift? Shitty ass!
I looked at the CEO's door and felt like barging into the office and ripping his head off just like that. In my mind, it felt satisfying, but if I did that in reality, I would have gone and puked at the amount of blood which would have spurted out off his head. Ew!
I headed towards my office doors and sighed. I pushed them open and suddenly I gaped at the person sitting in front of Taehyung's desk. It was Taehyung! But, how? It has to be a dream.
Taehyung looked away from his laptop and flashed me his boxy smile. A dream.
He got up and ran towards me and I was still clutching the door's handle for support. It is still a dream.
He hugged me with all his strength and I then realized, it was not a dream.
"Taehyung?" I whispered and he pulled back and nodded.
"It is me, Jungkook. I am back!" he smiled and I grinned from ear to ear and hugged him. He hugged me back too and we stayed like that for so long till Taehyung said, "I need air, Jungkook."
"Oh! Sorry," I pulled away and let him breath for air. Impossible! Like he was right here, in front of me, "But how did you...?"
"I told him that I was working here temporarily and was learning the ways so that I would be able to manage my company on my own. At first, he was pissed and didn't agree, but later, after begging him, he agreed to it."
"Really?" I asked him and he nodded. That was impossible. My father wouldn't change his mind so easily. I wonder how Taehyung was able to persuade him to do that.
"How did you do it?" I asked him and he chuckled.
"Somehow."
"What do you mean somehow?" He sighed and shook his head.
"I am going to leave if you don't shut up," he said and I raised my hands in defeat.
"Okay. Okay. I won't ask anything more," I said and smiled at the fact that Taehyung was actually here. I don't know how he did it, but I am more than delighted having him here. He must be having those special charms that can made people do anything for him.
"Hey, Jungkook," he suddenly spoke and I turned towards him, "Want to have lunch with me?"
Lunch with him? FINALLY!
"Yes! Let's go," I grabbed his hand and dragged him away, without waiting for his reply. Finally! A lunch with Taehyung!

Somewhere in the CEO's office~
Jeon Sung-ho threw the cardboard box across the room and it fell down with a huge crash. He was annoyed and more than angry at the deal he had accepted with Taehyung.
That fool! He dares to threaten me. Me! The CEO of Jeon Enterprises! He sat on his chair and pulled at his gray hair in frustration.
I should have burned those letters when I had the chance instead of storing them. Ugh! How the heck did that boy find it? I made sure it was well hidden and...I should have just burned them. He kicked the table with his leg, resulting in a sore toe, but the pain didn't get to him.
He was annoyed over so many things, angered by one thing; a boy threatened him. It was like a shame to his pride and a downfall to his reputation. But the matter was too serious and he had no clue but to accept Taehyung's deal. He could have killed him or brain-washed him or made him mad, but then Jungkook was there who loved him a lot.
Sung-ho started to bite his nails, thinking and thinking of ways to silence the boy so that the secret doesn't spill out.
Taehyung...Taehyung...Taehyung...Taehyung! Oh boy! I am going to make you suffer now. His eyes gleamed with anger and his frowning face had changed into a wicked smile, a smile that the devil wears every time. As his heart was consumed by darkness, his mind went into a state of panic and all he could think about was making the young boy regret his actions.
I will slowly tear you apart, Taehyung. Even worse than they did to you.

TAEHYUNG'S POV
"AACHOO!" I sneezed and Jungkook looked up from his plate and looked worry.
"Are you fine?" he asked me and I nodded. I don't have a cold and yet I sneezed. I bet it was that Jeon Sung-ho. He must be cursing me for what I did before. Or maybe it was Jimin because I forgot to add my dirty clothes to the washing machine.
"Are you sure you don't have a cold?" Jungkook asked me again and I nodded. How much will he worry about me?
"Nope. I don't have a cold. Someone must be cursing about how handsome I am," I made a cutie face at him and he just looked at me with disgust.
"You are ugly," he smirked at me and I slapped his shoulder.
"I am not. You are ugly, with all those big muscles popping out."
"Muscles are the very reason why I am handsome," he flaunted his arm at me and I made a puke face at him.
"The girls must be blind. Falling for your muscles? Pfft!"
"Even you will fall for me when I rip my shirt apart," he smirked when he saw me turn bright red. Rip his shirt apart? Is he crazy?
"Just shut up and eat," I said and we went back to eating our lunch. I looked at him throwing away the onion slices and smiled. It was glad to be back with him.
It was kind of annoying that I couldn't ask more from the deal. For one, I don't know whether Jungkook still likes me or not. I mean, he said it himself that he won't forgive me for what I did before. So asking Jungkook back was a no-no, but I was glad that the deal came out good.
I smiled as I remembered what had actually happened this morning. If mom knew what I did, she would have praised me...or not. She would have just shook her head and would have said something like this, 'So what? You threatened the CEO of Jeon Enterprises, I threatened the biggest Mafia in Japan. Beat that now!' Yep! She would have said something like that even thought that's all lies and I don't think there are any Mafia's in Japan. Or are they actually there?
Flashback~
"Unless you agree to a deal," I said and he raised his eyebrow at what I had said.
"And what is it?" he asked and I sat on top of his table and put a leg on the chair's arm. He looked annoyed when he did that, but it looked cool to me. That's what I saw in anime.
"I am going to get back to being Jungkook's assistant and you will no longer trouble us with your tricks," I said and he snickered at the deal. I was actually going to say let me marry Jungkook and raise six kids and throw Leishi into a volcano, but I don't even know what Jungkook feels for me and Leishi's parents would probably sue me, so I had to drop that out. Maybe next time when I find another secret of his?
"That's all?" he asked and I tried to come up with more things because this was an opportunity I couldn't miss.
"Uhmm...also...you are supposed to leave immediately after the meeting and...that's it?" I said and he smirked.
"Even Jungkook wants me to go away right after the meeting, so I will accept that part. But, do you think I will agree to you and Jungkook?" he asked and I sighed. Dude, I just want to be his assistant, not his wife even though I want to be. I got down and waved the letter at him.
"I think I will give him a tiny love letter from my side. Want me too?" He was fuming with anger and I smiled to myself. He can't resist. But suddenly his anger eased down and he crossed his arms in front of his chest.
"If you give him the letter, don't you think you will be exposing your secret too?" he smirked at my surprised face, but I knew he was going to say something like that. But the thing is...
"If he gets to know both our secrets, who do you think he will be most disappointed at? His father who hid a huge secret from him for almost his entire life or his ex-lover whose past is more messed up than his present. You tell me," I said and he looked away.
"Fine," he slammed the table and glared at me, "I will accept, but remember this. Jungkook is getting married and you can't meddle in, you got that?"
"I get it. I have a boyfriend too," I said and he was slightly astonished when I said that. If only he knew the truth, "I will surely not meddle in the marriage. Just don't get in between mine and Jungkook's friendship."
"Your friendship?" he snickered and looked at me with disgust, "I really doubt whether you are friends with him."
"Him and I are friends and nothing more and nothing less," I said and every word seemed to stab me repeatedly, but what to do when it is the truth?
"I agree to your deal, but if you come in between Jungkook's and Leishi's marriage, I won't hesitate to tell him."
"Neither will I," I smirked and we shook each other for a brief second before rubbing our palms on our pants. I walked away and headed towards the door when suddenly he spoke.
"Do you still remember what happened?" I looked back and he was showing his wicked smile at me. I glared at him and he continued, "I hope you still remember. And you better not forget."
I bit my lip and walked out of his office. Oh, I do remember. I remember every single thing that happ—
"Taehyung," Jungkook called out to me and I blinked my eyes, having no clue why he called me.
"What?"
"Were you even listening to me?" he asked me. What was he saying?
"You were talking about how shitty your father is?" I said and kept my fingers crossed that it was what he was talking about.
"Yeah. I was talking about that itself," he said and I sighed. Saved by my luck, "By the way, you never introduced me to your boyfriend."
If I was drinking something right now, I would have spat it all on him, but luckily I wasn't. I was almost going to choke to death.
"Bo-Boyfriend? Why do you want to see him?" I asked him.
"Simply? You have met my wife-to-be, but I haven't met yours. So when?" he looked at me, waiting for my answer. What do I say? Should I just tell him the truth? But his father believes that I have a boyfriend and that probably might be the reason why he sort of agreed to the deal. What should I do?
"He is working," I said and he raised his eyebrow at me, "He has gone out of station and will call me when he comes back. Probably that time you can meet him. Okay?" He slightly nodded and I mentally sighed. I will introduce him to Jungkook when Jungkook goes back to America, hehe.
"Let's go then," he got up and I mimicked his actions and we left the place. We went back to the office and I sat on my favorite desk. Yep, it became my favorite desk now even though I had troubles with it long ago. My favorite part, I could easily see Jungkook's face without straining my poor neck.
Not a minute had passed and the door to the office banged open and we looked to see that dumba—
"Jungkook!" suddenly my heart stopped beating for a second when I saw Jeon Sung-ho standing by the door. What is he doing here? He was dressed in his usual casual attire, but then it looked fancier than the one he wore in the morning. Did he change his dress in the office? Oh damn! Where is his wardrobe? I am pretty sure I didn't see one.
"Yes, father?" Jungkook came out of his office and looked at his father with absolutely no emotions on his face. Pokey boy. Hehe...ignore what I just thought.
"I have gotten a formal invitation from the Z company's CEO to attend their party in the honor of celebrating their second son's birthday. So you should get ready and bring Leishi too," he said and I looked back at Jungkook who looked like he was deciding.
"What if I said 'No'?" he asked and I looked at his father who hadn't changed his expression at all.
"You must attend this party as many of the CEO's of other companies are going to be there," he said and stopped to take a breath, "So you are supposed to come."
"Uhmm...can I bring Taehyung too? I can't—"
"No!" his father cut him off and looked at me with anger and quickly shifted his gaze to Jungkook, "He has other businesses to do. I need him to sort out some files and you cannot bring your assistant. This invitation has been to sent to the CEO and only them and their family are allowed to come. No one else."
Wow! Was that actually written in the invite? I looked at Jungkook and I could see his hands balled into fists. Shit!
"But, I—"
"You haven't introduced Leishi to anyone till now. Even at H company, you left her and took your assistant. So this time you must take her. If you don't, back to America you go," he threatened him and I could feel Jungkook getting angry at his father. He was looking at the ground and thinking hard. I looked at Sung-ho and saw him smirk at me. That piece of—
"Fine," Jungkook said while gritting his teeth at his father. Sung-ho left us and went to the lift. I looked at Jungkook and I could see him fuming with anger. It was painful to see him still obeying his father against his will. I got up to go and hugged him. He was shocked at what I did, but he immediately gave in.
"It's okay, asshole," I said and buried my head in the crook of his neck, "Just get me some dessert."
I heard him laugh and he hugged me back, his grip tight on me, "Thanks for the lunch, idiot."
"I want vanilla flavored ice-cream," I said and he giggled. We pulled away and he smiled at me.
"Thanks for the hug. I needed it," he said and I ruffled his hair.
"You really need it. You looked like you would break everything, so I had to save the poor beings around you, including me."
"I hate him," he sighed and I could feel him too. His father was a total asshole. I can't believe that shitty bastard has such a handsome and amazing son, "I can't believe that he still has the power to command me around. I...I hate to say this but...sometimes I feel helpless Taehyung. I—"
"Hush now," I whispered to him and patted his head lightly, "Don't worry too much. There will be a day where you will show him who is the boss. Just...don't get stressed, okay?"
He nodded and I smiled. Still a baby, "What about you?" he asked me.
"You should go," I softly said and cupped his cheeks, "I will be fine."
"I will get you your ice-cream," he smiled and it tugged at my heart. The smile which I will always love. I pulled his face closer to me and I kissed his forehead. I felt him stiffen and smiled on his bare forehead. I pulled away and I kissed both his cheeks.
"Now you can go. If you feel like the party is shit, call me," I said and he laughed.
"I don't have your number," he said and I was shocked. I didn't have his number!
"Shit!" I said and he took out his phone and gave it to me. I took it and typed my number and saved it as 'Taehyung is the best.' He took it back and chuckled when he saw the name.
"I am going to change that," he said and I shrugged.
"Do whatever you want."
"Okay. I will be going now" he smiled and hugged me again. He grabbed his coat and waved his hand at me. I waved back and watched him disappear behind the lift doors.
My smile soon faded as I listened to the silent sound around me. Did Sung-ho do it purposefully? Rubbing it on my face that I am no longer Jungkook's and Leishi belongs to him?
How much more should I suffer? How much more should Jungkook suffer? How much more did he want to play with our hearts and twist our minds, hate one another and bring us to break one another?
I sighed and walked towards Jungkook's office. I headed out to the windows and looked down. i could see Jungkook with Leishi and his father, walking towards the car and sitting inside.
I suddenly punched the glass and heard it crack under my knuckles, its sharp edges cutting into my skin and making my blood color my skin and the glass.
Jeon Sung-ho. I will free Jungkook from your dreadful cage and make him see the true you. I will break everything you have ever worked for and bring you down till you are completely crushed under my shoe. Just wait and watch.
