Chapter 11: All of the Lovely Bad Ones
Next morning:
Lucia bounces the baby she called Juliet in her arms and she kisses her cheek. A man sits at a desk in the room with a feather pen and a peice of paper in front of him. Juliet coos and she grabs some of Lucia's golden hair in her hands and she pulls on it. Lucia winces and she pulls her hair out of Juliet's hands.
"Don't do that bambina." Lucia whispers to her and kisses her forehead. A guard then walks into the room and Lucia smiles at him, thinking that you and Ezio are dead. Oh how badly she wanted you both dead.
"So, what did your men do with their bodies?" Lucia asks as she puts Juliet into her crib.
"Who's bodies are you talking about?" He asks and he looks down at the ground. Lucia scoffs and places her hands at her hips.
"(F/n) and Ezio! Who else would I be talking about?" She rolls her green eyes, "Now tell me what you did with them."
"About that...um-" the guard begins.
"They are dead, aren't they?" Lucia's smile falls, "Please tell me they are. I need to hear these words." Her smile brightens.
"Not exactly..." the guard bites the inside of his cheek and he trembles in fear of what Lucia might do to him.
Her face goes red with anger and she clenches her fists, "What?!" She shouts and she glances at the baby and looks at the nanny, "Take Juliet out of the room Lucia tells her.
"Sì signoria." the nanny obeys and she picks up Juliet from her crib and walks out.
"How could you let this happen?!" She shouts at him, "I need them both dead! I gave you and your men one simple job!"
"Please forgive me." He says, "I won't let it happen again, I promise." She then suddenly smiles sweetly and she places her hand on her cheek.
"I forgive you...I know you did your best." She then eyes him up and down, "why don't you have a seat; make yourself comfortable." She tells him, "we will then discuss our next course of action."
The guard then raises an eyebrow but he sits down in the chair anyway. He wondered why she was suddenly acting so nice, "Shouldn't you be on your way to Roma by now?" He asks.
"Actually...I've decided to stay hear in Firenze." She smirks, "I'm not going to let those Assassins run me out of here." She then grabs a bottle of wine, "Would you care for some wine?" She asks.
"Sì." he nods his head and he looks away from her. Lucia then turns around and grabs two goblets and pours them half-full with the wine. She then turns her head around to make sure he wasn't looking at her and he wasn't. She smirks and pulls up the necklace that she was wearing that went down in between her breasts, relealing a vile filled with a white powder substance. Rodrigo Borgia gave her the vile before he went back to Roma.
She then sprinkles some of the powder into one of the goblets and swirls the wine around to disolve it. She then walks back to the guard and hands him the tainted wine, "Here." She smiles sweetly and she brushes her fingers across his back. He then shifts in his chair, uncomfortably. She then sits in a chair across from him.
She takes a sip from her wine and she watches him closely. The guard stares at her as he comsumes a large portion of the wine he was given. He notices the very pleasant sweet taste that the wine had.
"Sweet, isn't it?" Lucia smiles in satisfaction.
"Sì, it is." The guard agrees, "It's very-" he then starts to have adominal pain and he lets out a painful groan.
"Are you alright?" Lucia asks with obvious fake concern.
"What did you do to me?!" He hisses out. She smiles and puts down her goblet.
"I can't have failure." She glares at him, "You no longer of use to me if you can't kill two people that I need dead." She then smirks as she sees him puke up blood, "Cantarella is much more effective than arsenic, you know." She then drinks some more of her wine, "It also has a very pleasant taste and leaves no trace." She then stands up as he collapses onto the table, spilling the rest of his wine. Blood pooled out of his mouth and a maid walked in and gasped as she saw the dead guard. Lucia then grimances at the smell the guard gave off. Rodrigo did warn her that any victim of cantarella will...severely releave their bowels as the poison takes affect.
"Have someone get rid of this." She tells the maid and walks out of the room, "and bring me some black paint and a paint brush! I will be in Francesco's office!"
"Sì, signoria." The maid says and Lucia then takes Juliet from the nanny and brings her with her to Francesco's former office. She sets the child in her lap as she sits down on the plush chair. She then grabs some parchment and a feather. She dips the feather into the ink well and starts writing a letter. The maid then comes in and sets down the bowl with black paint in it and a paint brush.
"Grazie." Lucia mumbles and she sends the maid away. After about five minutes of writing, she finished the letter and blows on the ink lightly so that it would dry faster. She then picks up the paint brush and dips it in the paint. She then takes Juliet's chubby hand and brushes the paint brush across the palm if her hand until her palm was covered in paint. She then presses Juliet's hand onto a blanm spot onto the parchment and lifts it, revealing a small handprint.
Once the paint dries, Lucia fold the paper into thirds and she pours some hot red wax onto it and presses the Pazzi seal onto the wax. She stands up and walks out of the office and she hands the nanny Juliet.
"Clean her up." Lucia tells her and she finds the de'Pazzi messanger.
"Deliver this letter to (F/n) (L/n) in Monteriggioni." She tells him and he nods his head and head out to deliver the letter. Another guard walks up behind Lucia and he sighs.
"I don't think it's wise for you to stay here...you need to escape to Roma." He tells her. She frowns and scoffs.
"I can take care of myself." She rolls her eyes, "Don't worry about me. If my sister or Ezio come for me...I will be ready."

"The Pazzi are dead. Every one of them." Ezio tells Lorenzo de'Medici. Lorenzo had instructed Ezio to kill the members of the Pazzi family since they tried to kill Lorenzo to gain control over Firenze. You had also met Lorenzo so he knew that you were helping Ezio take down the Pazzi.
"I must admit, I've never before believed I could desire the death of others so badly." Lorenzo sighs. Ezio looks down.
"Nor I..." both you and Ezio say in unison. Lorenzo then puts a hand on your should and on Ezio's.
"Ezio, (F/n). Thank you for the role you've played in keeping this dream of mine alive a little longer." He says. Ezio then bows.
"L'onore è mio, Signore. (It is my honor, Signore.)" Ezio humbly says.
"What will you both do now." Lorenzo asks.
"There are still others we must hunt, Signore." Ezio explains, "They're already digging their into the heart of Venezia."
"No! La bella Venezia (Beautiful Venice)..." Lorenzo sighs, shocked that the Templars are taking over Venezia, "Then that is where your journey must take you." Before you and Ezio left, he gave you both the Medici cape. It would let the guards know that you and Ezio are friends with the Medici and they would be more tolerate of your actions, unfortunately the cape wouldn't give you both immunity from the law, "Che la fortuna favorisca la tua lama! (Fortune favor your blade!)" You and Ezio bow and you both leave.
"I can't come with you to Venezia right away..." you tell your lover, "I have to go back to Monteriggioni to get Teodora and bring her to Venezia with me."
"Do you think it's wise to bring her?" He raises an eyebrow, making you scoffs.
"I have a feeling that we will be in Venezia for a long time...I won't be apart from our daughter for months or years." You shake your head.
"Do you want me to come with you?" He asks you and he wraps his arm around your waist. You look up at him and smile. You then peck his lips.
"No...you go to Venezia." You tell him, "Teodora and I will meet you there." You promise and you place a hand on his chest.
"Alright, bella." Ezio smiles down at you, "Don't keep me waiting too long." He smirks and you giggle and kiss his lips once more.
"Arrivederci, per ora, Ezio. (Goodbye, for now, Ezio.)" You say and you and Ezio part ways. You walk out of the city and you mount your horse and you ride back to Monteriggioni. About a few hours later you arrive at Monteriggioni and you put your horse into the stable.
To then walk towards the villa and you see some of Mario's men at the training area, "When Signoria (L/n) hears about what happened last night she will be crushed." One of them says and she sighs. You raises an eyebrow at them and you place your hands on your hips.
"What happened?" You ask and their eyes widen.
"Oh um...it's about-" one of them start but Mario interupts them.
"(F/n)! I'm glad to see you!" Mario says.
"What happened last night?" You ask with worry, making Mario sigh.
"It's about Teodora...someone took her last night." He looks at her with pain in his eyes.
"What?!" Your eyes widen and your (e/c) eyes fill anger and worry, "Who took my baby!" You cry out.
"We don't know." He tells her and he places his hands on your shoulders, "But we will find out."
"How could you let this happen?!" You shout at him as tears start to roll down your face.
"I'm so sorry." Mario sighs and you push his hands off you.
"We need to find her." You tell him. Claudia then walks towards you and she hugs you.
"We will find her." She promises you and you hug her back and you sob into her shoulder. She rubs your back and she pulls away from you and she hands you a letter.
"This letter came for you...it's from the Pazzi." Claudia tells you. You quickly take the letter and open it.
Dearest Sister,
By now you have already heard that your baby is gone. Don't worry...she is safe with me. That's right, little sister, I have her. The daughter of Vieri de'Pazzi. She should have been mine, you know. She is now. But I am willing to give her back.
If you want her back, then come to the place where your life ended and began.
With love,
Lucia (L/n)
"What does it say?" Mario asks. Your face went pale as you finished reading the letter.
Lucia has her.
"(F/n)?" Claudia touches your shoulder and you snap out of it.
"Lucia has Teodora...I know where she is." You sniffle as you figured out what Lucia meant by 'the place where your life ended and began'.
"Where?" Claudia asks.
"My family villa."
