Octavian's pov

Later that night they put Rose on a breathing machine. She has trouble breathing on her own due the inhaling the smoke. I watched them changed the bandages numerous times and I can't look at the horrid burns.

I've been sitting in this room along with Anna. She would come here and there. I learned that her real name was Annabella but she preferred Anna.

Rose eyes open and she turns her head. "Can I please have some water?" Her voice was weak and shaky. "Of course baby." I fill a cup up with water and help her put it to her lips.

This was the routine. She would wake up from one of her long naps and eat or drink something. She only says a few things and the falls back to sleep. She told me that sleeping makes the pain ease.

Today we are moving up to my room finally the doctors will help move her while I go and make sure everything is going right with the palace.

I kiss her forehead and I leave. This was the first time I left the room since. It felt weird to be out of it. I go straight to my office to see a pile of papers on it. Couldn't they show me a little respect by doing some? I sigh as I get to doing it.

Roses pov

The doctors lift me up on a count of three and I whimper. They carry me to his room and stop for a minute. "Excuse me Rose, but were do you want us to lay you?" I think for a second and close my eyes.

"The floor in the corner were the one pillow and cover is. Thank you." I didn't know wether I was aloud to sleep in the nice soft bed. Even though he loves me I'm just not sure. "Are you sure?" I nod my head and they sigh. They carefully lay me down and put the cover over me.

"Let us know if you need anything." Then they leave I close my eyes and once they close they shoot up with the loud thud of the door slamming close. "What the hell Rose! Why are you on the ground?!"

The walks towards me picking me up very carefully laying me on the bed. "Rose what's mine is yours love, which means you can lay on the bed sweetie." I nod my head and sigh.

"Let's get you changed." He sits me up carefully and I bite my tongue so I won't scream. He takes off my hospital gown. He slides on one of his big t shirts. He shows me that a million dollar smile and lays me back down.

"Octavian, I wish I weren't hurt. I feel so helpless anymore. I don't like that feeling at all." "Stop love , Please you aren't helpless."

"Well I feel helpless", I whisper. "I want to try to stand."

"I don't think that's a good idea Rose. Your not healed all the way. Besides you wrong be able to walk since the stab to the back."

He always has ways to talk me out of stuff. "Fine", I sigh. "But can I please see Anna?"

"Sure anything for you love." I thanked him. I remember the days of being in the hospital. The bug bad vampire King was scared to look at my wounds. I couldn't tell I it was the blood he was craving or he just didn't like seeing me like this.

My body is still weak and trying to heal. Anna walks in and she smiles. "How's my favorite person doing!" I softly giggle and sigh. "I'm fine." I really never got to look at Anna's features.

Since I'm looking at her now she's beautiful. She has beautiful brown hair. The browbeat eyes and a smile that would make your day happy if you were having a bad one.

"Hey Anna how old are you?" She giggles and sits down beside me.

"I'm nineteen and you?"

"I'm eighteen."

She nods her head as she heads over to the bathroom. "I'll be right back Rose." I flip the channel to see what's on but don't find nothing interesting. "Hey Anna, do you mind wheeling me to Octavian's office. I want to see him."

"She giggles while saying yeah. She helps me into my wheel chair and wheels me out. We go down the hall were his office is located. The far left. The last door to your right I remember it like I had a test on it.

I push the door open with the biggest smile on my face but I freeze. I furrow my eyebrows and so does Anna but she gasps. There in front of my eyes the man that says he loves me is letting some brunette suck off his lips.

His hands were in her messy hair and she was on top of him. "O-Octavian?" His head shoots up and his eyes widen. "Rose I can explain."

"Take me away Anna." She nods her head and wheels me down the hall. "You mind if I spend the night in your room tonight?"

"I don't mind after what just happened I would be doing the same."

"I'm confused Anna. I'm confused."
